The developers are just keeping Vanille around so she can cosplay whatever exotic Middle Eastern* clothing they think looks cool, aren't they?

Do it. Seriously. It's a very solid experience. Plus, you can see Snow suffer at the hands of a giant tomato Flan.

Will do, once I finished Hotline Miami and Neptune Re;birth.

And does Snow get NTR'd?

Ha, ha. Not quite. Noel and Serrah build up a really good relationship though. I was really surprised by him. All the info about him before the game came out pointed to him being awful, but I actually really ended up liking him. His character model really doesn't fit his backstory, but loljrpg.

Edit: On that note, I need to get to doing the Lightning DLC one of these days.

The Lightning DLC is pretty fun, plus you get Valk Lightning as a battle member. She's awesome all the way until endgame, but may end up breaking early-mid game since she's too powerful, and you don't need to do the arena to get her. Also, massive spoilers if you haven't finished the game so only play it after you've finished (Zechs).

I liked Noel, but that may have been boosted by the Asscreed costume I got for him. It makes him look a lot less ridiculous >_>

Pretty much any other costume looks far better than his original clothes =/=

His clothes was designed by someone else (not Nomura), might explain why his looks and clothes doesn't match.

A demo is up on the Japanese PSN. No idea if a demo is being cooked up for the West, but I can't imagine it not coming out here.

Welp, I decided to game over the game several times first to get extra bonus item. And need to get the 2nd weapon drop from Noel.

Too bad that all of the rare drops are from Hard mode, which is the main course of the game and it's being locked until you cleared the game once definitely annoys me.

And I need them to release Assasin Creed DLC costume for Lightning soon

Which bonus items? The chests at the Ark?

Actually never mind, it seems you can still get them without Game Over. Though, I'm planning to redo it anyway to get the 2nd drop from Noel (gonna fight the + version that is stronger and drop different weapon). Also, accessories you found will be upgraded if you obtain them again. This also includes more stat boosting from re-doing the same quest again (though the bonus from main quest seems to be reduced greatly)

I just got Platinum for this game yesterday. On my 3rd playthrough in hard mode...and it doesn't feel like hard at all. Maybe it's because all stat upgrades, weapons + costumes, money and abilities carry over in NG+s. Either way it's an okay game. The NG+ carry overs make this game's replayability better than 13 and 13-2.

You completed it three times already in about week? That makes this game sound really short.

Actually he's been playing non ****ing stop.

There times at night after seeing him logged on for 20 hours straight that I wondered if he passed out or died from changing Lightnings outfit so many times.

So how good is the game, actually? If you consider as a stand-alone title completely unconnected to both Final Fantasy and the FFXIII franchise.

My first play through was roughly 30 or so hours including watching all cut scenes and completing like 95% of the side quests. There's like 66 side quests for you to do which gives stat upgrades. I.e: increase in hp, attack power, and magic attack power. Then I completed like 98% of the board quests which is basically get X number of item Y. Doing the board quests also give stat upgrades.

The main quests are very short. There are only 5 of them. I finished all 5 of them on day 7 or so in my first play through. The game starts you off with a remainder of of 7 days left, completing a main quest will add one day each to your remaining days. Completing 40 out of 66 of the side quests will give you 2 extra days. So, doing all the main quests + 40 side quests will give you a total of 14 days to fool around. A hidden dungeon is unlocked if you managed to extend your play to 14 days.

But to be honest, on my 2nd play through, I finished the 5 main quests by day 4 because I now know what to do during when. I also have the items carried over from the previous play through to make my side quest completion a total breeze. If you skip all the cut scenes for the main quests and side quests, or even ignore the side quests completely, you can finish the game in 5-6 hours.

Overall, the game can be as short as you want it to be and as long as you want it to be. You can rush through the quests by skipping cut scenes and avoiding battles like the plague. Or you can watch all the cut scenes and try to kill all the enemies in the world (Yes, it is possible to exterminate enemies so that they will never appear on the field again). Or you can just wait until the hidden dungeon at the end and fight the powered up (last one) versions of them instead of fighting shit loads of grunts on the normal field to bring out the "last one".

Battle system-wise, it is interesting, but given on how far I am at, I am only use the 3 garbs that I have set. Of course in my first play through I did take some time to try to figure out what combinations work best. But at your 2nd or 3rd playthrough, you already know what to use.

The hardest part of the game, and probably what makes the game has replayability, are the 2 hidden bosses. I can barely beat the strongest hidden boss on my 2nd play through on easy. I tried fighting him on hard mode last night and I got my ass wiped. So, I decided to start my 3rd play through again on easy to get more stat upgrades.

After you beat the game once, you can choose to restart the game from the start of the game at almost any time. You can rechoose your difficulty as well. So technically, I'm on my 4th run since I bailed out on my 3rd run in hard mode.

So, overall, the game does have its replay values if you choose to do so.

Yeah they are. They have a ridiculous amount of hp and it takes time to break their barrier. If you don't, you'll be doing crap damage which will range from hundreds to thousands. They have hp up to like billions. The somewhat down side to this game is that you have little means to upgrade your defense stats. You can equip items that give you a certain about of % resistance to physical or magic attacks, but you cannot permanently increase your defense like you do with hp and attack.

The hardest thing with Aironate (the hidden boss) is he will run away (because he will get bored) if you take too long to knock him out (i.e breaking the barrier) or you can't kill him after the 4th knock out :P

The game is definitely fun, though, my only complaint is it doesn't have a proper screenshot function. It has several funny moments in the main story event (more so if you bother to change the outfit just for the lulz) but I can't take one whenever they happens =/=
