The review embargo has been lifted.

General consensus seems to be that the game plays great and everything about the core gameplay is extremely polished. However, there are a few critical issues. One of them is that certain reviewers are having multiplayer issues when attempting to play with three other people. The other is that the 3DS isn't as good as a real controller when it comes to this kind of game. And if you're playing on a classic 3DS and not the XL, you may have some issues with the view when the game zooms out.

I'm sure most people (including myself) are going to pick it up. However, it would be understandable if someone wanted to wait for the Wii U version.

Basically.

Me? I'm impatient, so I'll get both.

I'll probably end up getting both at some point.

I've got a wiiU so I'll be getting that version for sure. I'm debating on getting a 3ds to get it too. I played both at best buy and they where amazing. But now that a new 3ds comes out next year, I should probably wait for that if I decide to get one.

There's a Wooly World stage in Smash?

No, I was just commenting on the above glitch. Since eating other Yoshi's is part of that game, I just said something silly as a joke.

Have tried playing the demo a bit more, but definitely affecting my existing wrist issues. And what I would DO for a Gamecube controller.

Had to put the Wii U purchase on the backburner too, but this would still be a definite purchase in the event I did get the console. In any case, will pick up for the 3DS

Unlocked all the characters, but Flat Zone 2 will forever remain locked.

I also played 8 matches of For Glory and only got 1 win. 3DS controls aren't ideal, and FD is not the most balanced stage...but man, I suck.

You suck? I admit I have never been that good at Smash. At all.

But eh, I play for fun and i'm having fun. The range for what constitutes as "up" on the circle pad and view (even on the XL) do hurt the experience a bit, though.

Er, did I say something weird?

Yes, I suck at Smash; or at least at playing For Glory on the 3DS version.

I think I would fare better if I had a proper controller though.

No, you said nothing weird. I'm just commenting at how mediocre I can be at this game. XD

I can see how my last statement could be taken the wrong way if it isn't said the way it sounded in my head. Sorry about that.

Nice.

I also discovered that you can customize the button setup in Smash 3DS which has been extremely helpful. I don't like having to depend on the right shoulder button for blocking and it was nice to be able to change its input.

I switched grab to the Y button.

Oh, and hell yeah to that release date. Those of us here in NA are even getting it before Japan.

I still think it's stupid to have it compete with the new Pokemon games.

It's actually a good thing for me, because I get really absorbed whenever I start a new Pokemon game. Smash will encourage me to take breaks from Pokemon...by playing Smash.

What? You can't be tired, you can sleep in the grave.

Well, I got the game over the weekend, and I have been enjoying the game a lot. My only issue is that the game takes a while to boot up from the home menu, but that aside, the game is fun. Smash Run is a lot more fun than I expected, and I am really enjoying the Rainbow Road tracks (Rainbow Road 64 is still my top favorite, though).

My top three as of now are: Luigi, Ike and Lucina. Probably going to try out Wii Fit Trainer and Greninja soonish.
