I feel the same way. I didn't dislike Brawl, but I played it nowhere near as much as I did 64 and Melee. It definitely wasn't as good as them. |

Honestly, there are really only two tactics I have for Megaman: 1) Keep Away. This works best with his regular attack and the B button static and side moves. Crash Bombs and the Charge Shots (one of the smash moves, from what I see) all work really well at keeping an opponent at bay. Used right, they can also be punishment moves for getting in too close. 2) Melee like a dumbass. This is trickier, but amusing. I basically charge in and use his Top Spin (a smash move involving a dash), or equip the Leaf Shield (down/b) and run around into everyone, letting them take damage from the shield. I like him, but he's probably not going to be a main of mine. |

I think it's funnier with Peach having the void instead of undergarments. |

I find the "peek up video game character's skirts" thing weird anyway, so I'm okay with it.

My brother got a code for the demo so I got to try out the multiplayer. Tons of fun, I can't wait till this comes out here. Thank god you can at least turn off items with the alt stage, items are way too plentiful.

It's not just peach, but Rosetta as well. Reason why Palutena doesn't is because she's Sakurai's, not so much Nintendos. |

Yeah, there's way too many items in the demo. It'd be fine if it was 3-4 players playing, but it's overkill for 1v1. Personally, I prefer having items off if I'm doing 1v1, but that's neither here nor there. |

I hate items, it's the whole reason I didn't bother trying Smash at PAX a couple weeks ago. While watching a match, Pit got his Smash attack three times in one minute. It was stupid. |

Items are fun with you have 3-4 people playing, like I said. I prefer no items when playing 1v1 matches. Which puts me in quite the pickle as far as online Smash! For Fun - Timed, items, any stage but FD For Glory - Timed, stock, FD-only I don't really want to do For Fun matches all the time, but I don't like how For Glory is set up. Final Destination is boring; it's a single platform that favors certain characters over others. Battlefield is probably the most balanced stage you can get; I'd have been fine with that. Or they could've brought back Fountain of Dreams. |

Maybe, but I kind of doubt it. On a random note, Ike is apparently largely unchanged from how he was in Brawl. Kind of disappointing, but I wasn't planning on playing him much in Smash 4. |

I got the demo, and I have to say I don't think I like the 3DS Smash. Although not all the reasons are related to the game itself. First of all, my 3DS has been out of service for six months because its power cord was cut. I finally replaced it this week, but after going back to the 3DS after six month of love from my much sexier Vita, it kinds of sucks to return to think dinky old handheld. I don't have an XL, so the screen is tiny, and my hands are so close together that it hurts even after twenty minutes of playing the game. I'm also starting to develop sight issues, so looking at tiny things on a tiny screen gives me a headache as well. As for the game itself, I don't know if I like the changes. It feels sluggish to me, and it seems like the overall knockback strength of any given attack has been greatly decreased. I go into higher percentages in every match, and it seems like Smash attacks require a decent charge to be the killing tool they're meant to be. I don't know if I like it, and although I might only be saying this because it's been a while since I played it, but I might even prefer Brawl . . . although obviously I'd rather just keep playing Melee and Project M over either of these anyway. I'll give it another try when it comes out and see if my opinion changes, but I still don't think I can buy it. I can't use such a small screen any more, and I have double vision as I type this from how much strain it put on my eyes. Especially when something like Andross is summoned and the screen pulls way back, it just kills me. |

November 21st? It's like they don't want it to sell well. Why release it on the same day as Pokemon? |

That week is Nintendo's biggest selling week of the year and usually sees the release of one big console title and one big portable title. Both always sell well. Last year, it was Mario 3D World and Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and happened to be the same day the PS4 was released. Both games did phenomenal upon release. Not really. Because when your that close to Black Friday, most reasonable people will know it's smarter to wait it out for a BF deal. Though no doubt that Pokemon is going to murder smash. Actually, Because it's coming out the exact same day, I wouldn't be surprised if GTAV PS4 /Xbone /most importantly PC versions will wipe the floor with anything released this year. Probably with just the PC version alone. |

If Mario Kart managed to sell 2 million within its first month, there is no way Smash will do any less, especially with Black Friday being the following the week. Next to Destiny and Watch Dogs, Smash has probably been the most hyped game of the year. Edited by RPGZero, Sep 21 2014, 03:30 PM.

But that's because there weren't any other major releases IIRC to get in MK8s way. Here you have competition from another Pokemon and GTAV. I know most people here will look at GTAV as "hurr durr GTA sucks also just a relreased port" and all, but the fans and community are massive. And there's no doubt there'll be a huge portion of the people who arleady bought it who'd easily rebuy it to get the newest consoles version, and millions who'd want it for PC for the sake of modding. Plus in general, it was an amazing game. Smash probably can beat the MK8 sales, since it appeals to a much larger fan base then just MK8. But the whole issue is, how much more or less will it sale compared to the other 2 games, and how much might each game suffer due to the other 2. EDIT: Actually, it skipped my mind that there's probably ilke 10x the number of 3DS owners then WiiU owners, so that will definitely give Pokemon the advantage over everything else. Even with GTAVs massive sales, Not all of those 20-30 million people will have the new consoles or PCs with the required specs, and even then, many who loved GTA Online, won't want to move to the new version if their friends are stuck on the old gen versions. |

Zechs is crazy. Anyway, the only thing that can hurt Smash U sales is Smash 3DS. I know some 2ch'ers are definitely not happy with how it plays and might not buy the U version. Right now most non-projectile characters are eaten alive in tourney fag mode. |

I look forward to using Robin. In my latest playthrough of Awakening, I even kept my female Robin in her default settings just to commemorate Smash. I wonder if the 3DS version of Smash is actually a kind of pseudo-beta. It's a fully complete and operational game, but at the same time, it acts as a testing ground for public feedback for the finalization of the Wii U version. Edited by RPGZero, Sep 22 2014, 05:28 AM.
