"You'd figure people would have better things to do than get into fights..." Signi grumbled, on her way to investigate a call. Brawls between the delinquents with too much free time were common, but from the reports, this situation was going to be unusual. Unusual for anyone, save the police precinct Signi Garand belonged to. Reaching the scene, she got off her patrol bike and removed her helmet, taking a moment to fix her hair before walking up to the perps.

Five men in suits nursed their wounds, brought on by the fists of Ray Valencia, who say on the curb waiting for Signi, as was the tradition. "Got into another fight, Ray?" She asked, looking over the man. He was unwounded as normal, though he was looking a bit more tired than normal. "You should just walk away from those guys, you know their bark is worse than their bite." She said, looking to the group of middle-aged men that looked annoyed at her words for a moment before continuing to moan and roll around.

"You say that, but they've gotten a little bit stronger. My shoulder's kind of tired time time." Ray said lazily, stretching his arms out to further his point, but only got a glare in return. "...What? You don't think I fought those old men on purpose, they surrounded me. I had to defend myself, right?" He continued, defending his innocence. "...Don't think I don't know what you were like as a kid. Your file is longer than all of their combined!" Signi scolded him, giving him a glare before a chorus of cheering sounded out from the men in Suits.

"Don't cheer at that! All of you should go home. You have families, you know? Why don't you think about how they feel about your little brawls for a change?" She turned her attitude on them, who all stood up now that their little act had be revealed. "Screw you, copper! The salarymen of this town will keep it safe! We don't need the fuzz to tell us how to live!" One of them shouted before they hopped on their bicycles, riding down the street while whooping and shouting obscenities.

"They need a better hobby." Ray looked on in amusement before standing up. "Well, are you going to take me in for disturbing the peace or can I go?" He asked, holding his wrists out to be handcuffed. Signi sighed with exasperation, not knowing how to deal with this one. "You can go, we can't hold pilots for more than an hour without evidence anyway. You're supposed to be at the Land vs Air match, right? I'll give you a ride?"

"I'll pass. Walking is more healthy." Ray said, cracking his thumbs. "I'm surprised you knew about that. Are we going to be enemies today?" He asked with a curious smile, wondering if she was going to compete against him this time. "No, I have to guard the event in-case another incident like last years happens. I'll leave the showboating up to you military types." Signi replied, putting on her helmet and riding off, leaving Ray to his lonesome. "...Guess I better find something to do." He mumbled, stuff his hands in his pockets and starting a leisurely walk down the sidewalk.

"Another fine day in Humanity's deep space adventure..."

"I can't believe this."

Charles Own. Captain Charles Owen. Sat in his well worn Captain's chair, casually reclined in it, and feet up on one of the safety railings. It was a good idea getting it reupholstered after that first big military contract paid off. Charles still had nightmares regarding the chair's previous state. Someone to his left cleared their throat. He looked over to his irate First Officer Dominic Caine. "Huh?"

"I said I can't believe this. Haven't you been paying attention Captain? We're going to be stuck here another 30 minutes at least," the man said.

Charles nodded and adjusted his cap, "Oh., heard that I did. Can't really be helped you, price we pay for this juicy military contract," he said with a shrug, settling into the chair more deeply.

"Yeah well it's still bull."

No response.

"Captain?"

A deep snoring his the only response.

Dominic let out a deep sigh.

"Aaaaargh... My hands." Johnny groaned, shaking the limbs repeatedly. For the longest, he'd been put through numerous flight simulators of increasing difficulty, a way of preparing him for just how ugly combat could get. It seemed more severe on him because of the circumstances that arose to make him become a pilot... Now that he was put into the Special Forces, he was being prepared for the worst, by being put through constant simulations and physical preparation bouts to both ensure he would be a worthwhile addition to the Forces... As well as be the perfect punishment and reminder to not rush into combat like that.

"I learned my lesson after sitting in the brig for a few weeks, but why'd they have to go this far? Damn..." he added, sighing a bit before he pocketed his hands. At least they were giving him a little break from the training so he could accompany the Land vs Air match. In the past, he couldn't only watch such events, but this time... He was participating. Part of him was nervous, imagining what kind of other people would be taking part in this event. Making a stop at a small grocery store, he bought himself a drink. Today seemed to be a pretty good day, what with the event kicking off soon. Watching an officer drive on by on her patrol bike, he could see the local police were getting ready to start maintaining the peace at the event.

"Wonder who else is gonna show up today..." he hummed to himself, tilting his head back and scratching his cheek. "Maybe Sieg? ... Or not, since they might keep him out because of what happened before. The others of the Special Forces are probably going as well... I guess the old guy with the Phalanx might show up too, or something." he continued on, before taking another sip of his drink. As he did, he couldn't help but feel a grin cross his features. "Man, now I almost can't wait to see who's going to show up!"

With that in mind, he closed his drink for the moment and began to make a run for the event. The sooner he registered for it, the better. Nevermind the fact he would have to familiarize himself with the rules before he could commit to anything...

===

"Man, those guys keep getting bolder and bolder with passing time." a man spoke, sitting on a stool and looking out the window, where a young man had managed to beat the stuffing out of five suits. It must have been pretty insulting, to get kicked as badly as they did by someone younger. The younger age was beginning to get better... However, it was up to the older age to keep themselves well-maintained as well. Those five clearly didn't seem to think the same.

"Meh, let 'em get their shit wrecked, Al. It'll teach 'em a lesson not to fuck around with the young 'uns." a man to the side of the first speaker muttered. The man, referred to as Al, chuckled in response, before he downed the rest of his shot glass before standing up.

"I hear you. Anyway, gotta head on off to the Land vs Air match. Can't let the flyboys think us groundpounders can't make a difference in this age." the man remarked, before leaving his payment on the table. "Thanks for the round, but if I drink too much, I won't be worth shit out there." he added, before slinging a jacket over his shoulder and stepping out of the bar. He heard a shout of 'See ya around, Allard!' as he stepped out, leading him to give a two-fingered wave over his shoulder back to the man, before he headed off.

"Now, let's see how right my intuition was, eh?" he grinned slightly, walking at a comfortable pace towards the event.

Jack took another long pull off his cigarette before pinching off the tip and tossing it away. A moment later he released a cloud of smoke like a industrial revolution factory and sighed before stepping into the arcade and making a beeline straight to the Colosseum in the back. He stopped a few dozen yards away from the game and noticed it looked busy enough that he would be able to get a drink, so he turned and made his way to the drink bar to sate his sudden thirst.

In a library somewhere in City 9, there was a certain room that was out of bounds to members of the public. Within that room, books upon books were piled to the ceiling, and many more lay strewn all over the floor. In the middle sat a young green-haired woman, intensely reading.

"Lulu? I've brought you your lunch. Lulu?"

The woman did not respond, her eyes seemingly glued to the pages of the book. It was as if she did not hear... which was probably the case.

Then the door opened, and a matronly woman stepped in, holding a tray of food. She stepped gingerly over the strewn books, clucking her tongue. "Messy as ever, I see." Stopping next to the younger woman, she knelt down, and placed the tray right over the book that she was reading.

Lulu started, and jerked her head up, her thick-rimmed glasses slipping down the bridge of her nose. "M- Ms Trosky?"

Ms Trosky, library superindentant, sighed, and gestured about. "Look at this. It's even more of a mess than the last time round. Anyway, here's your lunch. Eat up, and then get ready for your shift." She peered at Lulu. "You do remember that it's your shift this afternoon, yes?"

"Can't I just stay here?"

"We've been over this, Lulu." Ms Trosky sighed again. "You have to earn your keep somehow. Honestly..." She looked as if she was about to say something else, then thought better of it, and just shook her head instead. "I'll see you at the front desk in half an hour's time, then."

"Mmm." The green-haired girl had already pulled her book from underneath the tray, and had resumed reading, only this time holding a sandwich in one hand.

The superintendant sighed one more time. "What am I to do with you..." Then she turned, and stepped out of the room, shutting the door quietly.

Lulu Frecia was already back in her own world.

---

Elsewhere in the city, at a sleepy sidewalk cafe, another girl was pondering her place in another world. She adjusted her shades, as she looked through the lyrics and scores in front of her. Her otherwise unmarred brow was, for the moment, creased.

"This is my new song?"

The man, also wearing shades, leaned across the table. "Yes it is. Don't like it, Susan?"

The girl sighed, and set down the sheets of paper. "I don't know, Richard. It's the same style as my last two singles, and that didn't go down too well. Do we want to stick to this, really?"

"Hey, you were the one who wanted edgy and punkish," Richard retorted. "I'm just helping you out here, especially since you left-"

"I know, I know." Susan sighed again, and leaned back against the whitewashed rattan chair. "This isn't working. I'm still not feeling it."

"Do you know how much I went through to get these done for you?" The agent stood up, abruptly, and snatched the papers from the table, waving them in the girl's face. "Don't be full of yourself, 'Precious'! Your star is waning fast, and you still show this sort of attitude? There're dozens of girls out there with more potential! Tell me, why should I be wasting my time on a burnout like you?"

"That's different!" She sprang to her feet as well, slamming her hands on the wicker table. "I was heading nowhere fast, and you promised that you'd put me on the fast-track! I haven't seen you deliever on your promises yet!"

"That's because I expected much better than a washed-up former child star with delusions of grandeur!" Scowling, Richard stuffed the sheets of papers back into his briefcase. "That's it. I've had it. You're on your own now." Without further ado, he turned, and swiftly stalked down the sidewalk without a backward glance.

Susan Crawford glared at the proffered back. "Good riddance," she muttered. But after a moment, her face fell, and she sank back into her chair. She studied her untouched glass of iced tea with melanchonic eyes.

"...I'm such an idiot. What am I supposed to do now?"

---

"You do it with LOVE an' PASSION!!!"

At the front of the simulator room in the Daewoo Institute of Technology and Aerospace, a redheaded woman grinned widely, her arms crossed as she surveyed the students in front of her.

"Now kids, I know you got th' talent, else ya wouldn't be in front of me today. What I'm talkin' 'bout 'ere is th' FIRE in your SOUL tha'll drive ya to NEW HEIGHTS!! When th' chips are down, that's what's really gonna count in th' end! Practise's important, skill's important, but most important is ta NEVER say NEVER! Be always prepared to BREAK THE UNBREAKABLE!!" She punched her fist into the air for emphasis... just as the bell rang.

"Aaaaaand with that, kids, lesson's over! Big Sis Selena'll see ya same time tomorrow!"

The instructor stepped out of the simulator room, and stretched. Pinned to her chest was a golden nametag, clearly labelled "Selena de Cruz, Instructor".

"Welp! Time ta see how Johnny's gonna fare in that lil' match." She turned, and headed off.

---

"...And make the most of your break. Be back by 2200 hours. Got it?"

"Yes, Boss!"

"Dismissed!"

Hersalt smirked, then turned, and headed towards the miclonizing chambers. She was sure that her squadmates were going to catch that Land vs Air match which was starting soon. Not her, though. There was something else that she needed to attend to.

Namely, the cute as sin Summer Edition of the Forever14 Gothic Lolita line of fashion apparel. It was coming out today, and no way was she going to miss it.

"Half surprised you didn't step in yourself, Al," a voice spoke up, as a grizzled older man with reddish hair fell into step next to the Destroid pilot. "Not that it looked like the kid needed help or anything."

Folding his arms behind his head, Ziggy sighed. "I am so flipping BORED," he said aloud. "I was hoping to have a nice, relaxing drink before I go out on patrol, only to have some pencil-pushers wreck the joint with the help of some kid, and now I'm gonna end up stuck in the nosebleed section during the match, to boot."

He shook his head. "At least you get to actually join in the fun. Gotta say, I'm jealous."

A young woman walked down the street on the way to the Colliseum, a partially unwrapped sandwich in hand. She wore the uniform of a pilot with the emblem of the special forces on shoulder patches. Her light blue hair waved on a light breeze, revealing pointed ears.

"To think, it's just past noon," Lufia Arcsys said to noone in particular as she looked up at the starry sky, "Though there's not much difference between day and night where we are..."

Spotting Ray up ahead, the Half-Meltran picked up the pace to catch up to her wingmate.

"Hey, how goes?" she greeted simply.

"Half surprised you didn't step in yourself, Al. Not that it looked like the kid needed help or anything."

The man stopped as he heard the voice speak, before he turned to see who it was... Even if he had already guessed by the voice. "Hahaha, Ziggy!" Allard grinned, waiting up for the man, before they began to head off for the Colisseum. "If things got too ugly, I would've... Can't let the little ones kick the bucket that easily... Nevermind the fact those guys should've known better than to mess with Special Forces." he shook his head.

"I am so flipping BORED. I was hoping to have a nice, relaxing drink before I go out on patrol, only to have some pencil-pushers wreck the joint with the help of some kid, and now I'm stuck wandering around while everyone else goes to watch the show."

"Ahhh, yeah, that'd be a problem." he sighed, shaking his head. "Nothing lile a little squabble to ruin a good drinking time... Well, if it's any consolation, next round's on me." he grinned, raising his hand a bit to wave a few bills around, before pocketing the cash. "As for the latter concern..." he trailed off, before Sieg spoke up.

"At least you get to actually join in the fun. Gotta say, I'm jealous."

"Heh, it's nothing big. I'm only here helping to represent the guys that stay behind closer to home and defend it to their last while our boys in the sky deliver the real pain." he shook his head, rolling it around a bit. "You oughta be there too... To hell with what went down in the past. You're still a respected pilot in my book... You don't have to stay away just because of an accident."

At that, he raised his hand and clapped it on Sieg's shoulder, grinning. "What do you say, buddy? It may not be the grand experience you wanted, but i'm sure you're a little curious as to what the other flyboys can do, huh?"

A depressed Kayn waited at the coliseum bar for his drink, suddenly reminding why the people at R&D Department were the worse to hang with. He wasn't even interested in the event, but "Soo, want to come see that fight at the coliseum? It should turn out interesting for your work!" seemed a good line to pick up a chick for a date...

...it turned out 'Super Effective' like in that Pokemon: Zeltran\Meltran game that seemed pretty popular. And instead of catching a girl he ended up knocking her out in her world of designs and stuff, sitting somewhere in a single minded state of anticipation.

"Next time you'd try to hit on co-workers go after the other pilots." He mentally noted to himself as he wondered how much time was needed for a bourbon.

Reaching into his own pocket, he pulled out a few bills himself. "Tell you what, let's make your offer a bit more interesting. Destroids win, and I buy a round for you and your team. The kid's team wins, and you gotta cover me for a week. Deal?"

"A late lunch," Lufia said, holding up her sandwich, "and headin' off to the Arcade for that Exhibition Match."

She took a bite from the sandwich and then continued.

"Isn't it a bit earlier than usual for the brawling? Broad 'daylight' and all..."

There was already a queue waiting outside the Land vs Air match by the time Callen showed up. His nerves were already wrecked but he tried not to let it show on his face. Glanced over the crowd, he made his way to the side entrance, ready to flash his pass in when he spotted his fellow Daewoo Institute classmate.

"Johnny! Over here!" Callen waved his hand into the air, hoping to grab his friend's attention.

"Seems to be an open invite," Lufia answered, pulling out a folded event poster from her pocket and handing it over, "The best Fighter Pilots of the Arcade versus the best Destroid Pilots of the Arcade, Military or not. Map's set to Ruin City, Medium Gravity. Team Size restrictions will be set at the event, depending on the number of participants."

The girl smiled and put a hand over Ray's shoulder.

"Of course, it's not a show without some Special Forces showing up. So I'm in. How about you?"

"Haha, that's one way of looking at it." Allard nodded. "I know you though, man... I don't care what the higher-ups think, there had to have been bigger crap at work than what was revealed." he shook his head. However, this was still supposed to be a good day... "Still, it's fun to try and bring a little glory to your respective side. Call it a little friendly competition with the others."

"Aye, got a number of people signing up today now. Little Johnny-boy better be ready to deal with them all, he doesn't have the same kind of experience as the other pilots. People like Ray and Lufia would eat him alive... Granted, that's a little more his fault than anything. Shouldn't have hopped in that Nightmare and just stayed in a shelter." he shrugged. "Now he knows just how horrific Selena can be when she's training greenhorns."

"Tell you what, let's make your offer a bit more interesting. Destroids win, and I buy a round for you and your team. The kid's team wins, and you gotta cover me for a week. Deal?"

"What's that? Sounds like gambling." Allard stopped, quirking an eyebrow... before he grinned and took out betting money. "You're on, Ziggy. Let's see which of us has lady luck on their side." he grinned... Even though he remembered his luck with women was deplorable.

===

There it was: The Arcade was in sight! Johnny slowed his pace and opened his drink once more, taking a large sip and sighing in content, replenishing the energy he wasted running over here. As he stepped inside, however, he noticed just how active the place was. People were buzzing about, hovering from game to game. However, the biggest attractionw as the Land vs Air match... And of course, there was a sizable line already to go through the doors.

"Aw man, that line's big. Thank god pilots and participants get a pass." Johnny sighed, looking around a bit. He was about to step through the line when he heard a voice:

"Johnny! Over here!"

Lifting his head, he adjusted his glasses a bit and looked around. "Hey, that sounded like- CALLEN!" he shouted out, rushing forward through a few people, before stopping infront of his friend, grinning. "Man, you were here before me? I guess I took my sweet time getting here." he sighed, before standing up and looking around. "Wonder if Kayn decided to show up for this game too. It's definitely drawing in all the pilots..." he hummed.

Shaking his head, he looked back at Callen. "So, did you wait here long?"

Jack pushed his way past a number of people talking in front of the bar. He just wanted a flipping coke, he reflected, as he stepped up to get his drink, chewing on a few pieces of mint gum loudly to rinse the smoke flavor out of his mouth.

"Hey!" Jack tried to get the attention of one of the servers but the busy atmosphere meant his voice just became submerged in the ocean of noise.

Kayn finally managed to get his drink and looked to the event area. There was something weird, the gamng machine were still there. Wouldn't have been better to remove those to allow more people to watch the show? He suddenly stopped, a frightening thought coming to his mind.

He turned to one of the bystanders, namely Jack. "Excuse me, this is a videogame competition?" He asked quietly, already fearing the reply that was going to get.

"Hey, that sounded like- CALLEN!"

Giving a bright grin as he was noticed, Callen pushed back to allow Johnny some room, fiddling with his pass as the other man came up. "I just got here really, you don't have to worry about being late!"

Doing another once over the crowd, the dark blue haired man shrugged his shoulders. "I can't think that Kayn wouldn't show, considering how much everyone seems to be looking forward to this game stuff... Still, I'm nervous as all hell- I don't know what I'm doing here."

With another shrug, Callen mumbled out. "Maybe we could wait a few more minutes for anyone else to-?" Noticing Kayn, he grinned and waved once more. "HEY KAYN!!! OVER HERE!!!"

"I know you though, man... I don't care what the higher-ups think, there had to have been bigger crap at work than what was revealed."

Ziggy nodded silently. As one of the only pilots close to his age who didn't automatically associate the name Siegfried Garland with "troublemaking nobody", Ziggy had often sounded off to Allard about his frustrations with what had happened all those years ago. However, at the moment he really didn't feel like reopening such an old wound. "This is the kid's day; be happy for him," he thought.

"Still, it's fun to try and bring a little glory to your respective side. Call it a little friendly competition with the others."

"True enough. Personally, I expect the reason I was asked not to participate is so that the end result wouldn't be nearly so predictable," Ziggy boasted in a comically boisterous tone.

"Aye, got a number of people signing up today now. Little Johnny-boy better be ready to deal with them all, he doesn't have the same kind of experience as the other pilots. People like Ray and Lufia would eat him alive... Granted, that's a little more his fault than anything. Shouldn't have hopped in that Nightmare and just stayed in a shelter. Now he knows just how horrific Selena can be when she's training greenhorns."

Ziggy rubbed his chin in what was supposed to be a thoughtfully meditative manner: "Someone once said: 'the hottest fire forges the hardest steel'," he said seriously, before adding: "Though, there's tough, and then there's just plain scary."

"You're on, Ziggy. Let's see which of us has lady luck on their side."

Pulling out his own cash, the two tapped them together like a pair of shot glasses. "I'll drink to that. At least, I plan to," Ziggy said. "You'd better give it your all, Al...I don't wanna hear any excuses when you get your ass whipped."

Brrring, brrring, brrring.

"Nnnnn..."

It was late in the day. Well, as much as you'd call the shifting of time in deep space aboard a colony. She shifted under her covers, not wanting to wake up, her mind telling her sleepy body that she'd have to. After a day off, it was time to go back to the grind of patrols, of drills, of everything else. Sometimes she wished she worked a menial job in the city, normal hours. A normal routine where she didn't risk her life. As her eyes slowly fluttered open, she spotted guitar resting against a corner of her room and sighed - more time to practice on that would be nice, too.

Tugged the crimson covers from her bed, Catalina sat up and swung her legs over the edge of her bed, hands raising to lightly rub at her eyes. Her procrastination to getting up aside it had been a pleasant sleep, so maybe the malaise would wear off as the day wore on. A hand sliding up the black tank top she usually wore to bed, she scratched at her stomach as she let out a loud yawn, rising from her bed and moving towards the bathroom. A glance to a nearby clock told her the time - and told her she had maybe an hour to an hour and a half to get to work.

Her short brown hair a mess, fingers idly ran through it as her other hand was already half-hearted tugging the silk white underwear she wore down. The usual morning routine. A shower taken half asleep, a brush of the teeth, getting dressed, then off to work. She couldn't fathom how most 'normal' women could spend so much extra time applying make-up and the sort. It'd put her easily over time and she'd be late every day. Well, maybe women in general had better time keeping than her.

An hour had passed and she stood in front of her mirror, teeth freshly brushed, as was her hair. She wore a simple set of beige army overalls, the insignia of the UN Spacy stitched in to one side, with the name 'Foreman' stitched on to the curve of her front breast pocket. She kept a selection of spare clothing in her locker, so this was normally how she liked to head to work. She liked that the clothing was baggy, giving her freedom of movement and also hiding her feminine curves.

A slice of toast in her mouth and she was out the door of her small 4 room studio apartment, ready to start the day.

~

Tano Hagane was relaxing outside of the Coliseum Arcade, to himself, and enjoying some food at the collection of food courts that catered to most any need one might have. All the foods of old Earth were represented - Chinese, Mexican, Italian, even old school American burgers and fries. That adorned his plate as he idly ate at the crispy curled fries, eying the comings and goings of the arcade. He hadn't quite made any friends here in the City yet. Between work and his own nature as a loner, it was hard to just strike up a conversation. He had spoken with the occasional co-worker, the occasional cute woman, but nothing as of yet.

Wearing a simple black t-shirt and faded blue jeans, his favorite pair actually, the man enjoyed his food and the sights. Though the moving was sometimes frustrating, maddening, he always liked relaxing in whatever might be his newest place of residence. Taking in the sights, how the people might act differently. Despite the relative similarities between most colony fleets, Tano knew that it was like any group of people or settlements - they all acted differently and he found nowadays one of his favorite hobbies as of late was people watching as creepy as it sounded. His perception and eye for detail was one of the reason that they considered having him test new generation Sniper Weaponry he supposed.

Oh well, he thought, bringing his soda to his lips.

It was a day without much to do, and he planned to enjoy it in the sprawl that was City 9.

Jack turned to the guy who suddenly addressed him. His mind briefly informed him he should know who the person was, as he looked familiar, but for the most part there was no instant recognition on his part. Jack then stammered as the question registered itself a moment later.

"Uh..." Jack said intelligently, as his attention suddenly divided between the server who had finally decided to pay him attention and the man who had asked him the question. "Hang on a sec."

Jack turned and looked at the server, "Coke. Just a coke, biggest glass you have, little ice." The server nodded and started to fill a large glass with the requested beverage while Jack returned his attention to Kayn.

"It... should be?" Jack himself was suddenly unsure, he'd just thought he'd heard something about stuff going down at the arcade that day and had decided to check it out. It was only a short ride on his motorcycle from his place to the establishment anyways.

"HEY KAYN!!! OVER HERE!!!"

The sudden declaration of the man's name refreshed Jack's memory enough for him to recognize that, yes, indeed, this man's name was Kayn. Jack smiled as he absent-mindedly put the money down for his drink as it was set down next to his hand. "Well, maybe that guy who just called out for you can answer the question for both of us?" Jack took a sip of the coke. Aaaaah. Just like the commercials.

Selena whistled merrily, as she made her way through the crowds. Her students were most likely mixed in somewhere in there, including Johnny. Maybe she could spring up on them to embarress.... nah. This was the kid's first time as a participant, she'd cut him some slack. That left... she scanned the crowds, before her eyes lighted on two people in particular.

"Yoohoo boys!!" The busty woman strolled up to Sieg and Allard, a wide grin on her face; the grin widened when she saw the money on hand. "Oooo, betting aren't we? Who're y'all wagerin' on?" She slung her arms over both men's shoulders as she spoke, pulling them closer. "Can't leave me outta th' fun now!"

"It... should be?"

"I honestly dont know, came expecting a real exercitation with paint rounds actually." Kayn said honestly before Callen kicked in.

"HEY KAYN!!! OVER HERE!!!"

"Well, maybe that guy who just called out for you can answer the question for both of us?"

"Maybe..." He said quietly.

He nodded again to Jack to excuse himself for a second as he reached for the friend. "Sparks, Daniel heya." He greeted the two with a smile. "How're things at the Institute?" Then he lead way to the bar. "It's still early, come grab a drink, also enlighten me friends." He asked with a faked desperate tone when they were close enough to Jack as well. "Did I invited a girl out for a date to see videogames?"
