It's not unlocked for a long-ass time. In a way, it's a lot like CoD's version of multiplayer: lord help you if you come across high level fuckers with Melta Guns or Lasguns. I will say that it's the slowest melee weapon in the game, but also the strongest. Didn't stop me from dancing around an Assault MEHREEN with his Thunder Hammer and pelting him to death with a simple Bolter. And sadly, it's hard to find multiplayer games that aren't utter domination. I did wind up being the proverbial ace of a round with 10 kills and 5 deaths, though. |

Good news, everyone! Now that people actually have gotten used to the game, it's not longer an Assault-MEHREEN-fest. Instead, people are beginning to settle into their classes and kicking ass on their own. Myself, I'm currently rocking a combination of Meltagun and Storm Bolter. It works pretty well, and the perk of being able to carry both at once really helps. When the map calls for it, though, I don't mind taking to the skies with a Chainsword or Chainaxe. Or Force Sword, which is basically a re-skin for the Chainsword that doesn't make the awesome noises. Apparently, I'm actually decent at the game. I wound up topping the team, if not the game, several times while playing alongside Akito. |

I'm still rocking the standard bolter on the Tactical Marine, I have to say the class has been pretty good to me so far, although in all honestly I've only played about 90 minutes of online. So far I'm loving the game, although I've barley touched the single player, I managed to finish the part 1 last night then I went to bed. Has anyone else had match making issues, yesterday I couldn't even get on. Today has been better but it take like 10 minutes to join that first game. |

It tends to take a while to get into some actual groups, sometimes. Also, sometimes Single Player is a bit of a bitch - even on Normal. |

Great game. Few hours in to the campaign. Very serviceable. Titus and his cohorts are really fun contrasts to the usual stoicism I read in the novels. They're almost like what I generally imagine Salamanders to be like more than Ultramarines. I also often just stand around to take in the scenery and really get a feel for the visuals of the setting. It's been a real blast so far. Multiplayer is surprisingly fun. Usually these sorts of modes are just tacked on, but its deep enough to feel rewarding. I'm currently running a Dark Angel/Crimson Fist and Iron Warrior/Red Corsair as my main appearances. Edit: I like that it's tough like that S3. Not often on 'Normal' I get 'aw fuck' moments like I do with Nobs show up. Edited by Akito10, Sep 8 2011, 02:06 AM.

I don't mind it either, though it does become a "wat" situation at times. XD As for myself, I'm running a Salamander as a MEHREEN and an Alpha Legion for the hell of it as a KAYOSS MEHREEN. I prefer the Salamander armor, though, as it's got a lot of the shiny bling on it. |

So my aim is to hurry up and get 200 kill assists so I can unlock the full set of the mark 6 Corvis pattern armor, aka the Beakie helmet armor. I'm happy to see all the different marks of armor as unlock-ables. The only problem I can see now is it's going to be a long grind to get some of the trophies/achievements. |

The Thunderhammer... is the Emperor's Gift to his faithful Assault Marines to smite down his enemies with his overwhelming blunt force fury. That said, the Thunderhammer does require you to have at least practiced its nuances (preferably in SP) before you can turn it into a killing machine in MP, due to the fact that if you miss your first swing the enemy is more than likely to own your ass - and it's quite easy to miss. If you're properly positioned when you land next to him though, and that swing connects he's going down quick. It gets even better once you perservere and unlock the Killing Blow perk, which ensures that that first swing will more often than not kill the enemy. Even without it though, I managed to get a 7-kill streak with it the first time I unlocked it. :D |

my hardest challenge is ammo management...even with the Stalker ammo boost I was actually running out since I was very very good at sniping(and damaging them enough to let someone get the kill). My bane? Thunderhammer/Daemon Maul Assault marines. But god, level 31 and the perks they let my tactical have... Favor of the Armory(Double Nade count) AND Master Crafted Wargear(Better Nades/Medicine)? Someone up there loves grenade spam. I've finally hit kraken bolts on my bolter...now I just need to actually get kill streaks for the targeter. EDIT: And yes, Quattro, I have the full Mk.6 set already. Beat the game this morning. Wonderful action game, and it's 5x better if you're a 40k fan like I am. Probably among my top five action games of the generation. |

Damn you, and your fancy Corvis pattern armor, I hope you're at least rocking the beakie look online. On a better not I managed to get enough time to finish single player this morning. I enjoyed it but the gauntlet of Chaos before the last boss was a little bit of a pain on hard. Lasguns shouldn't hurt so badly, they're basically just really warm flashlights. Now to play some mulitplayer and try to hit level ten today. |

I have a mix of Beakie Head and Breastplate and the rest Relic. Uh, Lascannons are the "sniper rifle" of the game. Unless you're a devestator with Iron Halo perk, one headshot and you're dead. |

I was impressed with the video they had of it; was surprised to see a number of elements from Imperial Armour 3 work their way in. I don't own the game though, so I won't be able to take it for a spin. |
