Thunder Hammer with a jump pack, that's just evil. Although I hope they make some DLC for Dreadnoughts cause that would be fun. Maybe something like this guy nothign beats flamer meltas. But I can't wait for this to come out it's looking really good, and I hope they hurry with some DLC for famous chapters such as the Salamanders. |

Looks like we've gotten some details on Co-op for Space Marine: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/09/thq-confirms-co-op-for-space-marine-but-may-be-dlc/ In short: It'll be patched in via DLC a month after release, and it will be free to those who buy the game brand new (meaning those who buy the game used will have to pay for it). Most surprising to me was word that it would be 5 player (!) co-op. So awesome. |

Anyone have a gamestop powerup card? Gamestop is putting up a 50 inch hand painted Chainsword up for grabs in its rewards catalog. |

Do you just need a certain amount of points, or is it only available to the winner of a contest? I was drooling over that replica of Adam Jensen's Cyborg arm from Deus Ex, but that's for a contest. =\ |

Yeowch! T_T I've only got 5,585 points at the moment (I'm always using the $5 off coupons). Someone on GameFAQs put up a pic of the chainsword, for those who don't have a Power Up Rewards card: http://imageshack.us/f/12/chainswordz.jpg/ |

Is it for singleplayer or multiplayer? I figure it's the former, but I thought I'd ask anyway. |

Scratch that, the PC demo seems to show both are Ork levels. Alas. Anyways, boredom induced - the Chapters I plan to run in Multiplayer. Loyalist: Tactical Marine - Black Templars, Dark Angels Assault Marines - Blood Angels, White Scars Devastators - Iron Hands, Salamanders Traitor: Chaos Marine - Alpha Legion, Word Bearers Raptor - Night Lords, Emperor's Children Havoc - Iron Warriors, Death Guard |

I'm tempted to pick up SPESS MEHREEN, especially because I know so many of us will ALSO get this game. However, I have no experience in 40K beyond the "lovely" Shinji 40K fanfic. Which is far from the best way for that shit to happen. I'm trying to grab the Ciaphas Cain books, but is there a "babby's first 40K" book out there so I can begin to comprehend this stuff? Also, huh. There's a 40K DS game. |

I would say that the Ciaphas Cain books or the Gaunts Ghosts books are a great way to get started. You really dont like Shinji and Warhammer 40K? Ill admit its not the greatest thing out there but i think its a fun read. Where else are you gonna find Asuka do a Giga Drill Break with the Graf Eisen. And yes i know its now long since become a bunch of shameless rips from a million anime. Back on topic 40K DS game? what? |

WH40K Squad Command. Ultramarines Vs. Chaos only with some Grey Knights coming in later as backup. I think you're better off getting the PSP version of it.

Despite the overall lighthearted feel of the books, the Cain books give the most even handed view of the 40k world. They're best if you want to get a feel for 'normal' life in the universe, as well as how the Imperial Guard operates. For the Space Marines, of what's out I'd recommend Helsreach by Aaron Demski-Bowden; especially for it being a vs. Orks book, it's a great primer for the game. |

Played the demo; on the PC and 360. This is not only a great Warhammer game, but a great action game in general. The shooting mixes perfectly with the melee. It captures a lot of the 40k feel in most everything it does, from the sound of the bolter which I always heard in my head while reading the books, to the marauding nature of the Orks. Even on Normal it can be a bit challenging if you get bumrushed like wild. A mob of Orks with an incoming melee Nob can spell disaster no matter the difficulty if you don't play smart. Anyway, I loved it, and I'm pumped for the full game. |
