Yeah, it was nice having you along for a few games tonight GT. You did great with the Quarian Engineer too, covering us with turrets. We didn't ever finish a Silver run, but we did get damned close!

I'm still running my Salarian Infiltrator now. I'm starting to focus on a single-rifle build, with the Viper multi-shot low damage sniper instead of the default heavy damage one. I dropped the SMG altogether so I could focus on recharge times to spam proxy grenades all over the place. Since I'm doing 1300~ damage with each one, can stack them all around each other and they make enemies that 40% more damage for 8 seconds afterward . . . it just seems like a good bet.

All of my builds so far only have one weapon. The recharge bonus seems really nice to me.

I love the Quarian's turret. ^_^ Cryo Blast is also great fun.

Guess I'm gonna dig out some generic AV cables so I can get the 360 on the remaining standard def TV since the movers are taking the HDTV tomorrow. >_< I don't think I can go without playing ME3 though. It is just so good, and of course finishing a mission and checking out what new powers are available or buying new equipment scratches the brain's reward pathway nicely.

EDIT: MOTHER FUCKING PHANTOMS, I had two coming at me on the last mission and I had a grenade behind me. >_<

Phantoms are the bane of my existence . . . but one I never really worried about much as my Infiltrator. My shield drain nukes their Barrier quickly, and usually causes them to enter that "block powers" stance where you get free shots on them. I then have time to drop a proxy mine which she'll likely walk right over in an attempt to get to me, which will either finish her barrier so I can kill with a sniper shot or kill her outright. It's mainly my combination of abilities that makes them easy to handle though. They can be a terror if you manage to let them get close!

Well, Phantoms seem slightly less scary with Human Adepts. If you can hit one with a Singularity it seems to be quite effective. Throw a Warp at them while they are floating and kaboom. ^_^

That was fun actually finishing Silver instead of dying on one of the last three waves.

I'll be the first to admit Sentinel was broken in 2, but the class feels like it is terribly nerfed now. The detonation feels like it has so many drawbacks that using it is to the enemy's advantage.

Yeah, that was a good set of games GT. We had a team where everyone held their weight, with everyone with pretty much the same scores. Without a weak link, it's way easier, and it helps we had a good squad mix too. An Engineer to distract enemies, my proxy mines softened people up(I spammed them EVERYWHERE between rounds) and killed dozens without them even coming into sight during defense, and you and the other guy were both biotics doing crowd control, I think.

Also, I think I'm in love with the proxy-Viper combo. More shots with a weaker sniper rifle is a big improvement when you have 8 seconds of +40% damage. I was taking at least half of every walker that were focused fired's shields and armor between that and my energy drain. I'm going to be sad about losing my progress with him when the game releases. XD

Hmmm. Looking at the playable races, I'll bet good money there's a fifth slot for each class we'll get via DLC.

It was down to the wire for a bit there, but I finally scrounged together some cash and pre-ordered ME3 and the From Ashes DLC. I had no idea it'd be too late for the CE, but dem's the breaks.

Now to power through ME 1 and 2!

I know you said it before but I forgot, were you getting the PS3 or 360 version?

I think most of us are playing on 360 so we can pool all our saves, so I'm still hoping most of us are on there. I think this may be the first potential Guild multiplayer I'll own since Halo 3. XD

I went for the PS3 version, mostly so I could carry my ME2 save over to the next game.

I honestly had no idea the multiplayer would be so popular with our group, though. I feel kinda bad for sticking with the PS3 version as a result. XD

Pretty much this along with PC.

I passed on the demo but I'm actually game for multiplayer in the final game. I really would like playable Geth, but I guess I'll live.

Well, it's not like they showed off ALL the multiplayer.
And we can't rule out DLC characters.

Because I wouldn't mind a Geth version of some classes.
Or BLASTO.

Yeah, Geth Infiltrator/Engineer would be great DLC. Along with Elcor Soldier/Sentinel and Hanar Adept/Vangaurd. >_>

I just realized that when I had my Mass Effect save data catastrophe of 2010 (don't manage save files at 4am) that I never finished my "true" ME2 save.

I just moved. I won't have non-smartphone internet access for 5-10 business days. I also recently replaced my xbox and did a license transfer but not all things transferred well. I therefore can't access my DLC heavy save file that is somewhat near the end of the game.

Maybe I will be mildly pathetic and bring my xbox to my father-in-law's for a day before ME3 comes out.

Awww, don't do it GT! Everyone goes back and saves everyone. That's boring, and you're all probably missing some unique content because of it.

Dude, this is the playthrough where I'm hoping to get some people killed.

Besides, other wise my only save data I have is from my Renegade fem-Shep.

Oh, okay, that makes sense then. XD Seriously though, I only know maybe two people, now including you, who have kept their deaths in the first playthrough.

The only death I ever had on my first playthrough was Mordin because he likes to die if he is not with you.

The main point of my current game is to stay faithful to Liara... and the whole I deleted my ME1 and ME2 saves accidentally thing...

Oh yeah, I almost regret going with Tali. I would have preferred to have one strong romance across all three games, but Liara was such a bitch until the DLC that there was no way I would have chosen to go that route with her. Lair of the Shadow Broker is the one DLC I think really should have been in the game.

Don't worry about your saves. It'll be exactly like ME2 again where it won't mean jack in the long run with what you did in the previous game unless it involved a major death.
