Crusader's a scopeless sniper rifle, in a sense. Veeeery tight spread to the point that it's better to aim dead on.

As far as I'm aware, there is no spread because it shoots slugs instead of shot. I notice some of the complaint is about the recoil, but I was somewhat amused that I had no such experience on my first time using it if only because of Turian stability bonuses combined with Barrage Upgrade gear.

And then I'll bring a close to my original Shepard's run on Mass Effect 3. I've already beaten the game with him a few times, but I'm holding off on the not-free-DLC until it's all out. Then I'll blaze through and kill the reapers one last time before I retire James Shepard for good.

Whelp, been playing some more multiplayer and through the DLC as of recent. Mainly because I'm playing through the Mass Effect Trilogy with my fiance, and I want to make sure she doesn't miss any of the experience.

And I want to experience it with my Shepard first.

I've gotta say, the DLC's been downright enjoyable so far.

Leviathan actually expanded on the "what the fuck are the Reapers" front quite well, and did some nice foreshadowing for the final missions of the game. It really helps the plot make more sense, and it kinda makes me sad this somehow wasn't even in the retail release of the game. I mean, imagine if it had been a Day-One Release, like with Javik. At the very least, the DLC threw in some nice problem-solving that just couldn't be shot at to be figured out, and while it was more of an interactive story at times... it was a damned good interactive story.

Omega really felt like a mission that got dropped from the retail release as well, but one they simply decided to hold off on for an insane amount of time. Running through Omega was nice, and there was a good story to it for the most part, but... it just felt nowhere near as impressive after dealing with the Quarian/Geth conflict (in my case, forcing them to work together by yelling at them to shut up) or slaying the Reaper on foot at Tuchanka.
And Rannoch.

...and the Collector Base.

Man, I'm really starting to understand how utterly pissed Harbinger must be at Shepard, considering how many of the unkillable he's killed personally.

Still, it was nice seeing Afterlife again, and it was great fun to punch Cerberus goons in the face again. I just think this should have been an actual mission in the game, seeing how it doesn't quite fit alongside the other DLC in terms of scope.

I'm only partway through Citidel right now, but it's damned enjoyable. The DLC does some experimental things, brings back Wrex for some awesome kickass times... and gives pretty much everyone a chance to have fun. It's surprisingly in-depth at points so far (didn't realize everyone but Shepard could actually dance), but I've got a long way to go until this is completed.

Still, I'm almost wishing I'd held off completing the game before getting these DLCs. It's certainly providing an incredibly more well-rounded story experience, for sure. Shame all these weren't bundled together into the Mass Effect Trilogy release, as well. That'd have made a complete purchase worth considering, especially if it came with another two or three discs just to install the DLC onto the Xbox.

EDIT

Also, forgot to mention. Finally got around to unlocking some of the... odder Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer characters. And I'm having a blast with some of them.

Like the Volus Engineer. Dear lord, he is hilariously awesome, even if he's utterly screwed the moment his shields drop.

Or the Geth Juggernaut and Geth Engineer. Both of those are fun to use, although I kinda wish the Juggernaut could sprint crazy fast, like they did in Mass Effect 1.

The Cabal Vanguard was an odd experience at first, but I'd be remiss if I didn't confess that I was ripping through walls and enemies alike to get to objectives. The fact that you basically auto-adjust for height differences makes the Poison Strike ability almost broken. And it would be, if they'd kept the auto-aim/tracking of the Biotic Charge when they made it.

I'm a little sad that the Vorcha I've found (The Hunter/Engineer and the Sentinel) are a little underwhelming. Their Bloodlust ability is nothing short of fantastic, and almost required for higher-level gameplay considering how much I suck... but the other abilities don't feel quite as fun to use, sadly.

if you're on PC, I'm tempted to reinstall ME3 to have a few runs though.
