so generally...what is people's problem with the ending?

Mine is ...1. None of my choices matter...AGAIN(Dragon Age 2)
and 2. It left more questions then answers for me.

Mine is that it focused on a new plot twist and a choice unrelated to anything else that's happened in the previous three games, while ignoring the choices and relationships my Shephard had already formed. Obviously we care more about what we've been able to influence and interact with than the overall plot, and Bioware lost sight of that.

I completely disagree with that, Zechs. I don't expect a game to be absolutely 100% different based on a few choices. That's just not even possible. It's like asking for a car that's also a boat and also a plane. They can only make one thing, and they just need to surround that thing with an emotional roleplay payoff for the things you've done. The other games, and even all but the last 10 minutes of ME3, do that. As for relationships, the entire ending of ME2 was ABOUT those relationships and how you used them. It was the perfect emotional payoff.

.........Actually I was mainly pointing at the "previous 3 games". Not sure what you saw in the quote. >.>

the last ten minutes really didn't suit the epicness that we already set in motion...

I already detailed my problems with the ending in a post pages ago, but to keep it brief:

1. Ending removes any real semblance of choice.
2. An important character is introduced at the very last minute.
3. The motivations behind the Reapers is fucking stupid and you can't question it.
4. Every ending ends on too sour of a note and none of them provide adequate closure to the series.
5. The crash. You know what I'm talking about without me going into spoilery detail.

This.

Also, where was the Salarian Spectre? I must have missed him at some point in the game.

Jondum Bau sends you an email after rescuing the new Primarch from Menae. He'll be waiting outside the Spectre Requisitions office in the Embassies area of the Citadel.

I assume he'll be there even if I've beaten the game? Since it spits you out outside the raid on the Cerberus base.

Actually, the quest is supposed to be resolved pre-cerberus raid.

Well, the game spits you out before you do the Cerberus raid, so I should be able to do that mission.

I thought that might be the case but the wiki didn't mention it.

That quest is also bugged as hell. Of the four people I personally know who played the game, only one has managed to be able to finish it.

For some reason, the level of butthurt and mispellings combined with the utterly inept rage I'm seeing in that picture just feels... delicious.

EDIT
If it helps, I was somehow able to complete that mission, too. I had to leave the Citidel, complete another mission, and then come back to get it to work, though.

And then I called it a Big, Stupid Jellyfish.

Ahh, so I've missed out on it completely... not sure if I should do my next playthrough at all, with my Liara love.

Watched that video, and I have to say I agree with everything Angry Joe said about the ending.

Huh. They left out the Liara default flash if you didn't keep a ME1 romance, and your party disappearing just before the final sprint to the Citadel. Those were the worst parts in my opinion.
