Some Macross RP; Now with more Love Octadecagons!

VGCW Posts: 5,036 Group: ATX Team Member #3 Joined: July 16, 2005	The year is 2050. 40 years after humanity has left their scarred Earth to colonize the stars in order to improve their odds at survival in a hostile universe. The massive colony fleets are led by the flagships Macross, the human pioneers deeming it fit to arm itself to the teeth as they venture deeper into territories that they have never been before. Macross 9 leads one of these fleets, it's population defended from all manner of enemies. It's military is equipped with the latest in Variable Fighter technology and the behemoth that drags them through the stars seems invincible. But when an enemy from inside threatens their pilgrimage, the armed forces alone cannot safeguard the people any longer. --- I can't say much more without giving everything away, so here's the basics. Macross 7 era technology with a possibility for some advancements. Macross 9 is a very technologically based society, so some innovations can be made. Basic military will be using Thunderbolts, with special forces using Nightmares. Other VFs can be used in special cases and prototype units will be available for anyone who wants to make one. UN Spacy will work basically as expected. Civilian characters would likely come in the form of college students from the Daewoo Institute of Technology and Aerospace, a university where the students are prepared for military service or a career in military technology. Other characters can be police officers, teachers, doctors, basically anything you can think of, I'll try to make it work. The Zentradi live among the humans as Miclones. Being full-size is not allowed in city limits where 80% of the population lives and works, so they only return to their original forms when called for combat duty. Enemy Zentradi forces have begun to skirmish with Macross 9's military, their scouting parties have revealed a frantic nature not found normally in the species bred for war. It is almost as if they are fleeing from something....

VGCW Posts: 5,036 Group: ATX Team Member #3 Joined: July 16, 2005	Go for it. A few notes. Don't feel complied to be a Thunderbolt pilot if you don't want to use it. For the context of the RP, the differences in performance between the various units will be reasonably minimal, so use whatever you want. That said, Thunderbolt is pretty classy. It goes without saying Macross Frontier stuff is off-limits, due to them being on the other side of forever and a few years in the future. Various Companies and UN Spacy themselves should be developing prototype units, if you want to make one to fly around in. Don't go too crazy though. And you can also sign-up for a enemy Zentradi/Meltrandi if you like. You'd get less time in the spotlight doing so, but having player controlled villains is always a good time. There could be another faction or two not available at the start of the RP, but I dunno about player characters, considering what I have planned.

Well, my current idea is to be an Ozma-style veteran pilot who was the lead singer in a small-time garage band during his younger days. Might even name the squad after his old group.
