I'd ask why they're afraid of trying something new, but this is Sunrise. |

The man who destroys worlds and creates worlds

Personally, I'm more asking "why now?" I mean, of course I love Wing, but the show's 15 years old. It seems kind of left field to come out with sequels and spin-offs now, especially considering they're in a giant marketing frenzy for 00 and Unicorn. |

I'm fine with it as long as that "mobile suits were never seen again" part is retconned out. Especially with the whole Terra firming mars point that was brought up in the movie. At least they would still work for construction purposes. Wasn't that what MS's in wing were originally for? (Forgot what the acronym was) |

Acronyms never existed until seed. Seed invented the word "acronym". |

Two words: finances and ambition. We live in a day and age when it is rather easy to produce a series, especially if it's a mange or an anime that will use stock animation. This now gives directors and writers the ability to recreate their works in ways that are quote-unquote "better" than the original. Sometimes, a director just feels he didn't get it right the first time so he either feels the need to do it again or re-imagine it. Take it for better or for worse. I just wish they'd remake the RIGHT series, though. There are tons of 80s series that could use remakes or sequels. One wonders why the Dragonar run in SRW and ACE didn't produce a sequel, which it honestly should have. |

Seriously. For a little-known '80s real robot show, Dragonar has gotten a LOT of exposure over the last several years. And been pretty popular to people who haven't played those games to boot! |

To bad any new shows or remakes will all be cut down to 12 episodes as Japans new standard. Rage. etc. And Gundam Wing: Endless Schwartz. Fund it. Though Epyon will win by default. |
