Survival Multiplayer, though it's not very hard to survive since you're immortal right now. Notch hasn't gotten the damage working yet for SMP but hopefully it gets fixed for the Halloween update. Right now it's just building and mining. |

Sorry I keep not joining you guys. Or disappearing mid-game. I promise I'll get in for at least one full night once the Halloween update hits. |

Don't worry about it. As you already know it's basically just mining and building. The fun "run for your life" survival starts once damage is enabled. |

Don't know what was going on with you dropping constantly but if you think it was on my end I'll see if I can do anything to fix it. I now GZG was dropping because the connection on his laptop is crap though. You were getting a "Send Buffer Overflow" error. I looked it up and it may have something to do with your memory or some area in the game is causing and overload for you. Not sure if I could fix it from my end if it persists besides maybe generate a new map and see if that works. |

I think it may have been my end, my internet provider is the worst i have ever dealt with, (comcast or verizon, ill find out later). We have spontaneous complete drops of internet, and on a regular basis, the internet fails to work right. We would get a new provider, my town only gets comcast and verizon. |

You signed offline right before I signed in just now. Mostly it's just GZG and myself. ZetaStriker pops in from time to time and GZG's friend lost his account because it wasn't really his to begin with. You can do stuff even if no one else is there at the time, but yeah the server isn't all that lively I suppose. This damn map is absolutely flooded with dungeons it seems though. We haven't even gone all that far out and I've found at least 10-15 dungeons already. Edit: Halloween Update is out. You may have to update your client to get it to run. Not much has changed in SMP as far as I'm seeing. I believe Biomes are in effect but the damage is still off and the portal to hell is buggy and doesn't warp you. And yeah, you will notice immediately the change in the textures from the Biomes. http://www.minecraft.net/temp/status.png He probably just released what he had done so people wouldn't bitch and is working on the SMP stuff completely right now. I just really hope the damage goes on. Another thing, /iron and /wood no longer work. /home still works Edit Again: No damage or working minecarts for SMP until the game reaches Beta. What the fuck Notch, Beta better be right around the corner then because without damage all you can do is build. |

Multiplayer health is out and mobs are enabled. It's a little buggy but at least it's here now. It's hard mode because of long range zombie attacks and you needing to land 6-10 hits with a diamond sword to kill things at times. |

New map generated, it's kind of shit but we're in the middle of a giant forest biome. I'm being completely serious when I say that if you burn one of the trees it's most likely going to burn the entire thing down to the ground which looks easily 1000+ trees. I'm very tempted at this point because there isn't a decent cave in sight and mobs are really annoying when you don't have a lot to work with. On the subject spiders and creepers need to die in a fire, literally. All mobs seem to spawn a LOT more than they ever did before, and since spiders and creepers don't die in the sun not even daytime is safe. Hell with all the trees creating shade there's usually other baddies lurking in the day still. SMP is suddenly a survival horror game. |

You're just a bit too late, we already torched most of it. The map kind of sucks anyways, and this mass fire was causing GZG to drop with the same error that Alpha was getting and even I was feeling a sharp decrease in performance. I might back it up but otherwise we'll probably just gen yet another new map. We might make a habit out of that and gen a new one every month or so to keep the "survival" part in survival multiplayer. Some pics of our handiwork, 3 different directions entirely. Note that the majority was burnt down with a single spark as it just kept spreading and spreading. This is about half of what's been burnt. Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image |

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/07/20...lig-in-the-dust We are pleased to announce that Zeboyd Games has already made more revenue in less than a week on Steam than we have in over a year and a half on the XBox Live Indie Games service. Thank you again to everyone who has made this huge success possible! |

Yeah, XBOX Live Indy Games is where good games go to die, for the most part. Mainly because most of the games on there suck though, admittedly. |

Anyone hear of Kerbal Space Program? It's in alpha but It looks incredibly promising, also Multiplayer is supposed to be added on at some point so we could start our own space program, build space stations, go to other planets and land on them, and all that! Sound fun? Also, building insane rockets is hilariously fun especially when you try to launch them... and fail spectacularly. The site with the game is http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/ |

*gives CPR to thread* I cruised Kickstarter the other day and stumbled across a couple pretty cool projects I immediately dumped some money into. The first of which is the sequel to one of the best freeware RPGs ever created, The Magical Realms of Tír na nÓg: Escape from Necron 7 – Revenge of Cuchulainn: The Official Game of the Movie – Chapter 2 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa. Planned as an action RPG with an amnesiac Hoopz that's set to take as many cues from WRPGs and JRPGs this time around, I'm more relieved for the return of their particular brand of deadly serious insanity even if the mechanics sound promising. I can't wait to see what they do with this, and consider my $10 well spent. Also, if you spend enough you can get this body pillow: Posted Image The second game of note was Legend of Dungeon, a randomly generated co-op beat-em-up dungeon crawl inspired by the rogue-like genre. They have a free demo of the early alpha version available on the Kickstarter even without donating, which is absolutely worth checking out in my opinion. While the early version is lacking a lot of the features the game will eventually include, it does have full 4-player local co-op, and a fun randomly generated 26-floor dungeon. New weapons and hats with random stats pop up from time to time, your character levels to increase your maximum hp and damage, and the potions you find have their effects and colors randomly determined in a way similar to Binding of Isaac's pills. And since those potions are also the only way to increase your movement speed, jump height, or fully restore health, it's worth it to risk bad result and experiment to find which colors give you what you want for each playthrough. It's not perfect yet, but one thing that deserve particular not is the game's dynamic lighting. Despite being done with pixels, the entire game is beautifully dynamically lit, the interplay of light and shadow really making the pixel art shine in ways most retro looking games never can. Even if you don't play it, for this reason alone I suggest you watch their trailer and at least see it. Edited by ZetaStriker, Dec 11 2012, 04:05 PM.
