Seen the first couple of episodes of the new Gainax show, and it's awesome. It's like a less-offensive, more-adorable version of Kodomo no Jikan, set in the most awesome Kindergarten ever. Seriously, why couldn't my old kindergarten have a slide that goes from the top floor to the outside? Also, Hii-chan is mai d'awwwww-ter now. |

Its really not like Kodomo no Jikan at all >_>. And Space Hanamaru Kindergarten is the best XD. It's also the only other thing I'm following this season since its actually hilarious. |

I likened it to KnJ because both revolve around a trio of kindergarten girls interacting with their male teacher, with one of the girls having a crush on him. The big difference is that KnJ uses that set-up to push the envelope of the viewer's comfort zone while simultaneously acting as a rather brutal commentary on the difficulties of growing up in modern times, while Hanamaru is much more innocent and plays everything purely for laughs. I can sorta see the Shin-chan comparison, though this is much less crude and doesn't contain the pop-culture references...well, except for in the end credits. Space Hanamaru Kindergarten > all, indeed. |

Yakuza-hime was great. Couldn't stop laughing at her and Ms. Perfect having tea and basically perfect-ing at each other. Next episode has the long-awaited "grow-up" segment, complete with Hii-chan being awesome and homaging Honneamise. |

And Hanamaru is now over. I kept waiting for the eventual GAINAX END, which never really came...which is a sort of GAINAX END in and of itself, especially if we never get any more. ...really hope we do, though. |
