God damn it never is this thread on page 10.

Anyways according to this weeks famitsu,

- Bandai Namco Games is publishing this outside of Japan

- The gameplay will involve the player forming teams with other players and fighting it out online

- The objective in the game is territorial conquest

- The My Garage system allows you to upgrade you mechs

- The mech part designs are brand new

- The main component of the game is online play

- The online play here is different from normal online multiplayer because it has no separate modes. By being a single seamless online mode, it makes it much easier for players to get online and start playing.

- There is a single player option.

- The main objective of the game is for your team to capture the territory of another team.

- You can set up defenses in your territories beforehand. If no players are online in a team, the defenses become the enemies for other players trying to take it.

- Teams are made up of 5 players. In combat there will be 4 players controlling mechs, while the remaining player serves as the commander and operator for the team.

- There will be something similar to Overweapons from AC4.

- There is a huge amount of content in the game.

- Release date is 2011.

Well that's certainly different. I'm hoping for a true mission based single player still because it sounds like it's all team based land grab.

Since it looks almost entirely online based I'm already dreading having to play against crazy sword laggers.

That's why you stake them in the face.

Not on laggers you don't. Non-lag pro blade users are scary in their own right, the maneuvers I was trying to do against you doesn't compare. Bladers aren't the end all though, not like how missles were in AC2:AA or anything.

By the way was Tower City Blade ever translated?

Wow, that sounds both awesome and Frustrating, kinda sounds like How I've wanted a Mech MMO to play. I'll have to pick this up and see how well they can accomplish it.

Not that I know of.

As to laggers, I just used the stake in advanced and it always seemed to work. Even if all hits didn't connect, Blade ACs are always light armored to it didn't need to.

So its been confirmed to be coming over to the US? Excellent.

EDIT: By the way, for you guys who end up getting it what version are you looking at? Probably PS3 for me.

Ditto.

I just hope the achievements aren't as retarded as they were in For Answer.

I still never made it to A-Rank online.

That Ditto was before I saw his Edit.

As to which system, it's up in the air. =/

Depends on which version people get more. Though I heard 360 FA always had better online. Custom tracks would also make or break my decision.

But if the difference in release dates between regions is longer than 6 months, I might just pre-order the JPN PS3 version. And if it's online is good enough to warrant it, I'll get the US version for 360 later on.

Well if enough people get it for the 360 then I'll get that version. I have no preferences, I just want to at least have a couple people to play multiplayer with.

Looks great, but I'm still not importing. No PS3, no HDTV, East Coast, Final Destination.

I also wonder how practical light-weight ACs will be since you really do only see heavies. Could be that it's just big guns = more badass trailers, but there's also the squad based multiplayer going on. A single light-weight per team could work if he just zipped around picking off weakened heavies or something though, but I'm getting way ahead of myself assuming so much here already.

All missions can be played in online co-op. You can select your online counterparts from your team members, or you can hire mercenaries to join in.

Hmm, well if it releases that late into the years I might wait the extra couple months for the NA version. Assuming the 2012 release date for NA is early 2012.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but it looked pretty good. I'm going to need a timeframe on the US release before I decide if I'll import it.
