Sasameki Koto is one of those series that seems like a Frankenstein's monster. It's yuri but on the lowball end of fanservice. It's angsty yet laugh out loud funny. It's one of those series you read on a whim and for some reason, you just find yourself liking it despite it not even being your teacup, let alone a cup of tea that may, in fact, be yours. An anime adaptation has started airing, and it's adapted insanely well. It's light on filler (which are non-canon scenes added to pad the episode count, not material you dislike) and heavy on the straight from the pages goodness. Needless to say, it still gets angsted over because people are morons and should flogged before being allowed near a keyboard, but I digress. It's one of those things that will have me ranting for hours because it, so I'll move on. If you've not heard of it, chances are good since it's a monthly serial that's not Fullmetal Alchemist, it's the story of Sumika Murasame, all around wondergirl who is in love with her best friend Ushio Kazama. Ushio doesn't realize this, *coughs.* Anyways, anyone else read this? |

The person I'm not living with is heavy in to yuri and shoujo-ai manga, so she's constantly recommending stuff to me. And this was one of the few I took a chance with and ended up liking a lot. |
