Are you watching any movie that isn't new? Sup, bros.

Myself, I'm going to watch This Is Spinal Tap after dinner with my roommate.

First Blood's been playing in the background the last couple of hours, and now First Blood Part 2 is on.

One of my friend's signed up for a scifi movie course at college, so she has to watch two old scifi movies a week.

This week we watched Planet of the Apes and yesterday we watched Barbarella. Damn.... what the hell was wrong with people in the 60's. Jane Fonda's tits were the best part of the movie. She was pretty hot before she became a traitorous commie bitch.

Not that old, but I watched Snatch yesterday.

The 'replica' part always cracks me up.

Watching "A Boy And His Dog".

Posted Image

Weird post-apocalyptic movie about a wasteland wanderer and his dog, with whom he can communicate telepathically, as they scrounge the deserts for food and poon.

Yeah, I saw Robocop 3 awhile ago. Frank Miller wrote the script, but that means nothing. Movie still sucked. Basically there's a bunch of poor slum-dwellers in Detroit and some big mean ol' company wants to bulldoze the sucky place and put something cool and shiny and new there. But the poor people are like "Fuck that" so the evil company forms an army to force them out, so the poor people fight back, and Robocop saves the day cause he's goddamn Robocop.

And there's Japanese cyborg ninja robot clones. .... In the end, Robocop wins. What else would you expect?

So, I just watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Still neat after all these years.

Heh, found that on Netflix, Penguin? Yeah, A Boy and His Dog was pretty interesting. . . VERY different, considering the main character is an incorrigible rapist(which is, oddly enough, a show of character on his part because he's about the only guy who doesn't murder them afterward. . .). Although luckily he never actually raped anyone during the course of the movie, as that would have killed it for me. The ending was deliciously dark, too. XD

Anyway, I just watched Donnie Darko for the first time. I loved it. The weird elements made it different, and the disturbed lead that was Donnie reminded me enough of my own childhood, minus the future-rabbits, that I found him more sympathetic than most characters I've run across.

Haha ... oh man.
"You said your damn ninja would take care of Robocop!"

That movie was horrible. On par with Double Dragon for cheese factor.

Just finished watching The Thing. This movie used to give me the heeby-jeebies when I was but a wee evil penguin....

Now I'm looking for another movie, but I don't remember the title. The plot is pretty remeniscant of The Thing, but instead of taking place in Antarctica it takes place on an oil rig, where the crew accidentily unearths some primeordial horror while doing some exploratory drilling. Wish I could remember what that movies name was; any of yous have any idea?

Naah - it's not that. I've got all 4 (yeah, 4, the last two are rather meh) and not one of them involves a drilling platform.

I suppose I should have made it clearer that it was an oceanic drilling platform, so the whole movie was at sea. So the creature they awoke was some sort of horrific sea monster... I'm still looking for the movie, still can't remember the title.

Watched Brazil. What a delightfully weird, fucked-up movie that actually had important things to say about the soul-crushing all-consuming centralized-planning burecratic unionized nightmare perfect "utopia" government. It's was like a super-happy version of 1984.

I swear, I do A/C work, so I kept seeing myself as the non-union terrorist A/C repairman. This has catapulted up to be one of the top 10 best movies I have ever seen, ever. It was really long, and sometimes I felt too long, but still totally worth it.

I'm gonna look into finding The Intruder Within. It vaguely sounds as if it could be the movie I've been thinking of.
