I didn't see a topic for it.

Anyway, since the SDK came out the community has been trying to make a ton of campaigns and such, while perusing the net, I found this.

It looks to be the best made Campaign made, and I really want to play it.

-A whole Parkade, where every car has an alarm, and an endless Zombie horde? Oh god...

I'm not sure how many Guild members had/have L4D for 360. I know ZetaStriker got it from GameFly and has since returned it, CyborgZeta and Shinryoma I believe own it along with myself.

PC-wise ... definitely not sure.

Waiting for L4D2

I would like to try it, but seeing as my computer crashes when I try to run Oblivion and takes forever to load TF2, I doubt I'll be playing L4D anytime soon.

My PC sucks for gaming so I play L4D on the 360 as well as The Orange Box.

Got all the achievements in it too.

Most L4D discussion has been in the Steam/Valve topic lately, actually, but a new topic can't hurt. Anyway, yeah, only a few of us still have it for 360. On PC, I know that I, Shin, asd, and a few others own it, so it's just a matter of tracking us down.

Of course, I'm not actually available... with Shin's help in the video card topic, I ended up replacing my video card with a GeForce GTS 250; I didn't have 2 slots, like I thought, so SLI was unfortunately out of the question. But this'll be good enough to run what I already own. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble with the drivers after their installation; my screen goes blank when I boot up Windows after initial start-up, and I have to revert to a back-up of my last successful start-up, sans the drivers. I'll probably look into fixing that tomorrow, but for now, count me out of the L4D PC group.

Video card upgrading can't be worse when you don't have any PCI-E slots in your ancient Dell.

I have this game on the 360 and on the PC as part of the Valve pack. A bunch of us have the PC version. Check out the Valve topic's first page to add us.

The patch has failed to renew interest in the game. My friends have gone back to Bad Company.

So question, if I were to get the steam version of L4D 2, would my machine even be able to play it?

Thanks!

Took a while to finally get that site to work, (had to update Java which always bugs me.) Looks like I can at least run it. But what's the percentile thing?

Looks like you got integrated graphics, which is pretty bad, but Source engine games(L4D, HL2, Dota, etc) are usually very forgiving and run well on a lot of systems.

Percentiles usually tell you how far you are from the top, effectively. You're within the top 10% of people with video cards, for instance, but that's probably only as high as it is because there are just so many shitty cards out there build into ready-made computers. XD

Oh, and I have the game of Steam, if you want to play. I actually never played the game much because when Shin first gifted it to me, I couldn't run it. By the time I could, Shin had disappeared and no one I knew was playing it. XD

As long as I can play it without any hickups I'm fine with it, even if I have the settings to min. I'd mainly play it just to mess around in with Mods when Amuro does his stream. Not like I'd ever play directly, just maybe join in if they ever needed an extra person. I have no idea how L4D is even played.

Also, I wanted to get the Neptune Mods. >.>

Left 4 Dead, shoot your way to end of Zombie Hoard filled maps, pray to god a boomer or tank doesn't show up to ruin your day.

Or Super Hunter, who can leap tall buildings and long distances in a single bound.

Where do you find cool mods? I got this on Steam awhile back when it was free.

Check the steam Work shop tab on the games page. It has TONS of mods from the community. Same with Garys Mod and most other steam games. Metal Gear, Neptune, Mario, pretty much anything you can think of there are mods for it. Even one that turns the monsters into Shrek that attacks you while screaming DONKEY.

Fudge it. Ended up just getting it. I'll see how it handles later on. Right now I'm just deleting stuff to clear up some space sice my drive is 95% full. Just cleared about 150 gigs so at least that might help it run smoother. Still need to get a new external drive. I need to back up all those Detective Conan episodes.

It really depends on what kind of mod you're looking for. I highly recommend Rayman1103's mutation mod, which adds a ton of alternate gameplay modes like Versus Survival and Tankball. In terms of new maps, Helm's Deep is a massive, beautifully done Survival map that'll please any Lord of the Rings fan. I'm also fond of Suicide Blitz 2 because of the obvious amount of effort that went into it. Some other custom campaigns that are highly recommended include I Hate Mountains and Detour Ahead. Death Aboard 2 is pretty good (including a memorable finale), but one of the levels has some severe lighting issues that I don't think have ever been fixed.

As for in-game mutations...to be honest I don't use them, and I'm boring enough that I'd probably just get stuff like hi-rez versions of the existing characters. Though I will admit, the mod that turns the Tank into Johnny Bravo always amused me.

Tried it out. Went sluggish as hell for me when I started. But seems like I can run it alright when I put everything to the lowest settgs/disabled. Basically it all looks meh and anything that dies just disapears once it hits the ground.

Hopfully Online won't be affected. Only did a quick Single player run. Also hopfully this wont affect any mods or character models I decide to install.

Gave it a try with the mods. Seems alright. Though I've never really played a shooter on PC before, mainly stuck with consoles. Might have to just use a gamepad.

I mainly got the Nep mods first, but so far only 2 characters showed up that way. On the WOrkshop page though I could only find the ones for goddess forms, not normal Neptune. IF doesn't have one so she doesn't count. Still need to get the Metal Gear mods.

Heathen!

Anyway, try to stick with the mouse + keyboard, is my advice. There is some adjustment, but people usually adjust quick. If you're having too much trouble, decrease mouse sensitivity and slowly increase it as you get better.
