You beat me to it. IY should get a "real ending" since the manga ended. But we all know it will really be a non-ending end. |

Well, the manga's ending WAS pretty conclusive, and this is supposed to be a direct adaptation...not the emphasis on "supposed". |

The IY manga had a conclusive end? I know it ended and someone around here mentioned the ending, guess I forgot how conclusive it was. But we won't know about the anime ending until it airs. |

Yeah, Rumiko's manga are typically much better in the ending department than the animes are. Even Ranma had a fairly satisfying ending (at least for it). Basically, Naraku reassembles the jewel and bonds himself to it. InuYasha manages to destroy him, and so Naraku then pulls Kagome's soul in with him by trying to make her use the jewel, causing her to end up trapped inside with him. She instead wishes that the Jewel would disappear forever, causing Naraku to disappear and her to go back to her own time. 3 years later, a portal opens up to the feudal era again, and she decides to go back and stay with InuYasha. Miroku & Sango get married and have a ton of kids, Rin lives with Kaede and is visited by Sesshomaru a lot, Kohaku is a demon hunter, and everyone lives more or less happily ever after. |

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-...kekkaishi-anime Well, not exactly a surprise, but maybe this means it'll get something resembling a simultaneous release here. ...pfft, yeah right. This is Viz I'm talking about here. XD |

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-...ast-on-thursday Not that this'll stop hundreds of groups from subbing it, probably, but it is still nice. |

Well, the first episode definitely managed to get the ball rolling in a pretty epic way, though I gotta admit I was sorta thrown by the fact that they didn't have any sort of recap. I actually had to hit Wikipedia to be reminded of who some of these people were. XD Next episode looks to be a farewell episode, too.... |

I'm not sure if I'll watch this or not. I dropped the manga a good bit before it ended, but for some reason, I want to finish out the story. |

Well, the anime ending is pretty much the same as the manga ending, and I thought it was fairly satisfying, myself. |

I'm still on the fence about watching it too. The series went on for so long without development that I seem to have written it off the never-ending-ness as an ending. I almost feel like the perpetual "to be continued. . ." doesn't even need to be expounded upon at this point. Besides, it lets me avoid what is sure to be an eventual Kagura BAD END, and there was a long period where I found her to be the only character I cared for in the slightest. |
