Goddammit Raiden! Learn to knock.

And I think I might just get the 360 version since I'm not that addicted to Achievements anymore, and I know if I try to force myself to get the trophies, I'll just get stressed out and enjoy it less like so many other games.

I agree...Trophies and such can get frustrating and arent all that worth it at the end of the frustration. Just enjoy the game. and if trophies are easy then go for them.

I don't do achieves/trophies at all unless it's a skill-related one. Grind achieves can go suck a cock, I play games to have fun and occasionally challenge myself, not waste my life killing 1000 tripods.

That's why you should do what I do: beat and enjoy the game first and get the fullest out of it. THEN you go for the trophies. I look at you sometimes and I feel like you spend time gunning for the achievements first. If I didn't take my time and enjoy the game first, i'd feel like the trophies were killing me as well.

And I will agree grinding achievements are the worst. It's pretty much why I do my best do avoid a lot of Dynasty Warrior games.

No the worst are online based trophies, followed by pure fucking random luck trophies, and THEN Grind trophies. Honorable mention, ones that require extra playthroughs.

I completely agree. I wouldnt bother getting trophies for a fighting game. I was going to platinum srw og 2nd. But i decided to give up, its not worth it. I just want to enjoy the game.

I don't even LOOK at trophies until my second run, minimum. And honestly? Most times I don't even care then.

I think the silliest achievement I've ever gotten was from Darksiders. One of 'em is for cumulatively traveling a certain distance on your horse, but they'd cut a significant amount of planned horse-centric areas so the best way to get it was to rubberband your controller and let it run in circles for a number of hours. I felt really, really silly.

Tales of Vesperia had a similar one as well. And the same remedy. Though stupidly, when I 1st attempted to get it I forgot to counter in the battery possibly dieing and and system auto shut off kicking in.

Another one of that was probably the most tolling ones physically on both player and the 360 itself was
"7 Day Survivor" from Dead Rising.

You had to survive inside the mall for 7 full in game days. And each days=2 hours in real life. So you literally had to play for 14 hours straight, Plus add in an hour or 2 for loading times, and just taking breaks by freezing the game via the guide button. AND, you can't save in In this mode. (Infinity mode)

And you couldn't just stand in the security room, since you had to go out and get food and water every so often, otherwise you'd die of thirst.

Wow those trophies sound ridiculous. I understand giving a challenge but dang are they trying to challenge ADHD or something? Getting S Rank in revengence mode may be my only hold back. all the other challenges are fun enough.

S ranks wouldn't be that bad due to Checkpoint abuse and the game only recording the completed runs.

It's very hard and up bosses with no damage that's the hard thing.

Up to now I've only been aiming for the amusing achievements like "Series Over, Problem Solved" (MGS3 HD) and "Is it hot in here?" (A:ZOE).

I get to hack shit up in MGR, so I win as far as I'm concerned. XP

Really underrated game, I felt. I never did check out the sequel though.

You really should play Darksiders 2. I won't say it's perfect, but it DOES feel like they really got to do a lot of the stuff they were wanting to do with the first one, especially in terms of scope.

So Randomly, we did the vocal versions, but how would you guys rate the BGM/NON vocal versions of the songs?

My current ranking is probably (This is based on the original versions, not the maniac/platinum mix versions)

1-The only thing I know for Real (Slow intro we got from the original rip)

1.5- The BGM from the Kojima final cut trailer. >.>;

2-Stains of time (It was low on my vocal list but when comparing all the tracks without the vocals,...well, DEM guitar riffs)

3-Locked and Loaded

4-Red Sun

5-A Stranger I remain

6- It Has to Be This way

7- I'm My own Master Now

8- The Hot Wind Blowing

9- A Soul Can't Be Uncut

10- Dark Skies

11- Return to Ashes

12- Collective Consciousness. I Disliked the vocal version, but just seems to hate this entirely without lyrics.

Fun idea:

1. Get MGR Umbrella Bag
2. Blow into it to make High Frequency Balloon Blade
3. ???
4. PROFIT

So anyone have any luck with any of the no damage achievements?

Ironically from the vids I saw seems no damage on UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS seems pretty easy since all his moves are really predictable, and just maybe the QTEs can mess you up.

Personally, I have problems with getting S on bosses on Normal, let alone No Damage.

I do get the feeling that Played Ball is easy to predict though. Fun fight.

Oh. Hey Sonic, good to see you finally turned up.

I haven't touched any games lately due to some crippling depression issues, but I'm hoping to get working on the No Damage achievements soon. I'm thinking Sam will be easiest due to predictability and how quickly you can get to the fight.
