But he's not short enough!

Well that's good to hear, hopefully I can enjoy the movie despite the PG-13 rating now.

I want to see this Deadpool scene. Not sure about the others. Who else did we need a follow-up on, anyway?

Sabretooth since he's so important to Logan I guess. Maybe Gambit since he's also a popular character

Schrodinger's Deadpool.....why does this sound like a crazy story arc idea that never made it to print? Maybe it's just me....

Well just got back from seeing it. Normally I'd say that the movie was bad, but having Hugh in it especially with no shirt for a significant portion of time upped it up to so-so.

Just got back from seeing it.

Not enough time given to a lot of characters. I liked how all of the Origin crap lasted like five minutes and stated much more clearly before a pretty neat war montage.

Wade was great. He got some fun lines starting off. The toy basically spoiled how he was going to look at the end for me but the fight with him against Wolverine and Sabretooth was quite fun, but it is strange seeing a Deadpool with forearm blades, teleportation (well, I guess he did it in MUA2), and optic blasts. The post-scene credits for us shows him reaching out and touching his decapitated head. His eyes open up and he tells the audience, "ssshhhhhh," as it goes to black. I bounced in my seat.

Agent Zero doesn't have any kinetic absorbing powers... and he's not German either. Just does lots of crazy jumps and gunplay. Fun to watch, but doesn't do justice to the character.

Sabretooth is great. Cunning, downright evil, and there is a hint of him being sexually violent too. There never really is any satisfying battle between him and Logan though. I was hoping he would get lobotomized to help justify that Sabretooth was a nonverbal fucktard in the first X-Men movie but no luck there.

Hugh Jackman does a good Logan. I'm not sure how they did it but there are some scenes where he is shown as being shorter than other characters and he is even called runt once. That pleased me.

Patrick Stewart makes a cameo as a younger and walking Xavier.

Emma and Scott work nicely together. ^_^

Gambit was tolerable... so... guess that makes it a good Gambit performance for me.

EDIT: There are an old couple whose last name is Hudson who help Logan out after the admantium bonding. They of course are tragically killed, but I thought it was still a nice nod to Guardian and Vindicator.

Gambit needed a better accent and Xavier looked really weird thanks to the crappy green screening and whatever they did to smooth out Patrick Stewart's head. The CG work on Wolverine's claws was also a bit dodgy at points too now that I think about it. Grah stupid movie.

Also I didn't get the Deadpool one, and we got shafted with Wolverine's first meeting with a badly casted Yuriko.

Were there any added scenes of Wade besides the ending? Or was that just a rumor?

He only shows up twice, three if you count the after credits ending, so probably not. I dunno though I didn't download the leaked movie.

Sounds exactly the same. A few nice snippy comments about the General in the elevator ride up, some killing and a couple more witty remarks... then disappears until the end.

Yeah, it was the same except for the endings. "Shhhh...." was neat, though.

Logan and Victor were great, Wade wasn't around long enough, Gambit's accent needed work, Cyke was sadly more awesome in this than in all 3 previous movies combined, Stryker was actually a pretty good villain, and Blob was fun. Not a GREAT movie at all, but a decent one.

Now gimme a sequel with Deadpool driving Logan insane and chatting up the movie audience.

More like how Sabretooth was here: the villain who keeps showing up, only instead of it being because of sibling issues it's because Wade just feels like bugging him. And at the end, they team up to kill the real villain, bitching at each other the whole time.

Haha, I can get behind that. Especially if I can hear cancer voice Deadpool.

I can dig that.

I'd also settle for a team up between The Comedian and Deadpool.

Break only rules created by men, uphold only what is true and everlasting

Honestly, I loved the movie. And I have no strength or desire to sit through the first three X-Men movies at all with the minor exception that I do desire to see Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut.

Some Spoilers:

The other X-Men movies just try to make X-Men too realistic . . . and I just have a hard time trying to buy a Marvel movie being made into something realistic. It just doesn't work for me. It works incredibly well for DC (except Superman) . . . but Marvel's characters are inherently cartoonish. The other X-Men movies are waaaaay too hard for me to buy into.

This, on the other hand, didn't try to hide any cartoonish nature whatsoever. The movie was so over the top that it was an amazing joyride. They didn't bother trying to make Wolverine's claws look realistic and just made them look as "ouch!" as possible. Gambit was just absolutely ridiculous breaking up an entire sidewalk and destroying an entire silo with ease. Deadpool was over-the-top incarnate. The rest of the team was just crazy. The explosions were all massive and sloppy.

Liev Schreiber did an amazing job as Sabertooth. Sabertooth was great.

Wade was hilarious. I can't wait to see what they do with him in the future . . . though I do hope he drops some of his new mutant abilities.

My favorite part of the movie was the first five minutes peaking with the death sentence. Sabertooth's "Wake me up when it's over" made it perfect. I honeslty could have been satisfied by a movie about Wolverine and Sabertooth in the Civil War, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam.

My only gripe was the ending. I know, I know, Logan has to lose his memory. But I would rather have it done at the beginning of a second Wolverine movie and not at the end of this.

Gambit was cool, too. I wish the movie had more of him.

Also, not every reel of Wolverine had the same post-credit ending. Some had the Deadpool ending, but others did not.

My reel had Wolverine in a bar drinking. A Japanese lady (aka Lady Deathstrike) asks him if he's American. Logan says he's Canadian . . . he thinks. LD asks him if he's drinking to forget. He says "No, i'm drinking to remember."

I think that "drinking to remember" one was in the leaked proto-version of the film too, Zero.

It was.

And ironically, I hold the exact opposite view. To me, DC's characters have always seemed far less realistic than Marvel's, due to the constant mythical overtones so many of them possess. A friend of mine once remarked that the major difference between DC and Marvel is that - on the whole - in DC, the heroes are portrayed from the viewpoint of "gods among men", while Marvel characters are invariably shown more as "men who are as gods".

Sounds about right. And I'm pretty sure the Japanese lady wasn't Lady Deathstrike, but Mariko.
