I was really hoping the movie would end with Wolverine cutting open Deadpool's mouth, and that somehow allowing Wade to regain control. XD |

THAT would have been awesome. Hell, that would have made the movie for me. EDIT Actually, I just realized something. Considering that Stryker is controlling Wade via computer, you can easily argue that if Wade survives this, that whole process is gonna leave him completely fucked over. And considering if he regens from this, he won't be in exactly one piece... ...ok, so it still leaves the arm-blades, the teleportation and the eye-beams, but maybe his regeneration knocks out those powers for good as they're somehow detrimental to him? Wishful thinking, but hey. |

Um, first of all you DO realize there's about 14 minutes of footage missing from this cut, much of which DOES involve Wade, since Ryan stated in an interview about a month ago that they decided to add additional footage of him later on due to positive test audience reactions to the character. And Deadpool recovering from this is almost a certainty, since Reynolds has also said that he had been approached by Marvel execs twice about a spin-off involving Wade, and HE was the one who refused to commit, since he wanted to wait until the movie was finished before deciding on something like that. As to Sabretooth, according to the director THIS is who he is, and it is "a blatant retcon for the better". The reason Sabretooth in X1 doesn't know all this was because it was the first movie, and they hadn't so much as planned the sequels yet, let alone a prequel. Hence why 'tooth was just a bit character. His entire inclusion was to give Wolvie someone to fight in X1, as well as to help perpetuate the theory that Magneto was after Logan the whole time, so that the Rogue twist would be a surprise. I dunno IF there will be a 'pool solo movie, but there's a definite possibility for it. Too much is happening behind the scenes. It'll just depend on Ryan's willingness, and the box office receipts. |

I fully confess to not knowing that before you typed this, Bossman. Or at least, not recalling that. As such, I'm still actually mostly satisfied with the movie as-is. It's still enjoyable, it's still a good popcorn movie and it's still better than X3. This may because of no Storm, but that's beside the point. Really, my only complaints are how 'Dudepeel' looks, as 4Chan has nicknamed him.
Oh, wow. Dear lord, I hope Reynolds commits eventually. I mean, while I don't think a Deadpool movie would be overly successful, it would be literally awesome to see more of the character (hell, I'm now going to go to theaters for the finished effects and the other 14 minutes of Wade).
That... makes a lot of sense. I mean, I understand the whole 'didn't plan it yet,' which is why I made the comparison between Big Boss' confession and Sabertooth in X-men. It makes up a few plotholes, but all for a much better and more convincing story. If we have an X4 somehow, I would love to see this guy return as Victor/Sabertooth just so we can have a good version of him fighting Wolverine.
Oh, indeed. This said, Ryan's always wanted to play Deadpool (and, technically, he's only played Wade and Weapon XI right now...), and the fandom has been behind his desire almost 100%, so if plans for a movie are made... I can't help but see Ryan being behind it all 100%. I know for a fact that I would do all I can to support a Deadpool movie - even buying action figures. Because it's friggin' Deadpool. ...speaking of, I should go pick up his classic-costume action figure. |

Yeah, the current theory is that he'll grow a new body from his head, which eliminates the arm-blades, and that his other "add-ons" will short out like you described as a result of his healing factor going out-of-control to rein in the cancer he'll get from the radiation exposure. I don't expect we'll get an actual X4, since all the current projects are spin-offs (and so many characters won't be coming back). However, Jackman has said he'll keep playing this character so long as he likes the scripts, and I wanna say that new Victor was optioned to return for a sequel to THIS, so there's a definite possibility of another brawl between them. In fact, I'm more inclined to say that Wade might show up as Deadpool in a 2nd Wolverine movie along with Sabretooth, rather than going for his own movie just yet. But then, that's also because I want him to appear in this Cable movie, too. XD Also, you know who was REALLY awesome in this? Blob. I mean, he didn't have much reason to be here, and he ended up much like a glorified cameo, but DAMN he was great while he was there. |

I can't help but agree with you there, Bossman... ...but feel I must note that it's disturbing that they're adding realistic man-jiggle. |

That would have been awesome. This all said, Blob and Wade were damned well done - and I honestly am hopeful for the inevitable "Wolverine 5", so to speak. Sure, X2 was a lateral move and X3 was a good leap backwards, but this is easily a step forward again. |

Well, then, it's a good thing I certainly deleted the Wolverine Movie from my Hard Drive and completely plan to go see the movie anyhow. And even if I still had the movie, which I don't, I would still be seeing the movie anyhow. Hell, this only made me want to see it more. ...yeah, that movie's not on my hard drive anymore. Nope, never. :ph43r: |

Yeah, I still plan on watching it as well. I purposely watched the first 45 minutes while skipping over scenes that didn't directly involve the characters I was most interested in to leave a few surprises for myself. |

And I'll fully confess to skimming through parts of the movie rather than watching the full thing. So I've really only paid attention to about 30 minutes of the movie total - and there's another 20-ish minutes to the movie that I'm going to have to go see at the theaters. And the special effects being finished... ...though I greatly enjoyed the actual unfinished effects. It's like a B-movie... but better. ...and I'm totally not hanging onto the movie to show my mom when she shows up this weekend. Nope. :ph43r: |

Except that 14 minutes of Wade making horrid scatological jokes at Vic's expense would still be funny. Your troll-fu is usually better than that, SG. Randomly, as I sat back and thought of how Weapon XI seems like such a lame concept on paper, I also realized that this was EXACTLY how I could see Wade writing himself. "Let's see, I need to have claws like Logan, only bigger!! Yeah, like swords in my arms! That'd be awesome! Oh, and laser eye-beams; every end boss needs those. And hey, can I get my teleporter? No? Well, can I just teleport without it? Cool, that's even better!! Man, I am gonna ROCK!!" |

You know....I actually can see this happening. Along with him coming up with a reason for why Weapon XI should have the common sense superpower. On the topic of the "14 minutes of extra footage", you know what I want it to be? Wade after the fight with Logan, healing at Bea Arthur's home. Followed by some 4th wall breaking as only Deadpool can do. |

Good. Hugh Jackman makes for a great Wolverine, as we've already noted from past movies. He's also developed pretty well, as the only character besides Stryker, Agent Zero and Victor to get constant screentime. |
