Bricked is when the PSP becomes useless because people mess up the CFW process, etc. With a Pandora though, you wouldn't have that problem. I thought you were saying that it couldn't be hacked or something because of that weird screenshot, that's why I said that. >>;;

I didn't look at your screenshot, and thought it was a pic of a bricked one. XD

Yeah, 'bricked' basically means your PSP has become an expensive paperweight.

Aw screw that, I'm definitly waiting for the battery.......When ever they get it back in stock ;__;

OoC, once you got the battery, how long/hard was it to install the CFW?

It's pretty much a 10 min or less process.

Stick the battery + magic memory stick, it loads up a black screen asking what you want to install, select CFW, and it flashes it to your PSP. Then take the battery out, and continue with CFW installing from the main mem stick menu.

So basically

-Equip the batt/card and turn on
-select CFW from the black screen

Does the system shut off by itself, you shut, or do you put it in sleep mode or somthing?

might need to youtube the last part. I do not want to ruin it so soon >_<.

You'll see it telling you what it's doing, and then once it's done, it'll tell you to press a button or something IIRC.

How old is yours?

I think got it in June '06, but I can't remember. It might have been earlier than that. It's the old fat one. I just wish it were more usable, or that there was something I could do about it... :\

Don't worry... that's what happened to my PSP too, although my warranty was still active. Apparently it isn't that uncommon of a problem.

Same. Don't bother installing the 1.5 kernel though, that's fat only.

It was something that was used back in the day for homebrew stuff (from the 1.5 OFW). 1.5 kernel isn't compat. with the slim though.

I kind of expected a random youtube video showing how to do it before datel came out with one. Unless, of course, I've just completely missed those videos.

I never had a choice anyway, since I was only cashing in my warranty... but that's still pretty awesome.

Good: Now that I know the PSP 3000 is hackable, I'm sold on getting the warranty. Already noticed some scratches on the screen from saturday morning =/

Bad:...still,

GOOD: The blue PSP is closer to KOS-MOS/Rockman, etc than others.

Bad:......The 3000 silver/ice blue is technically more KOS-MOS' shade.......

Can anyone tell me a way to save files to the memory stick via USB without the media manager?
