I just randomly got in to this franchise a while ago, thanks mostly to Kagato. I really am addicted to this show. I'm up to about episode 38 as of right now. I plan on reading the manga once I see through the anime that covers up to where scanlations start(the end of volume 8), then seeing the movie after I see where it sorta adapts to, then all the Gaiden movies once I finish reading the manga. Whew, that's a lot to do. Anyway, I think the series in amazing. I love post-apocalyptic backdrops, so that in addition to the great, epic characters and fun fighting styles employed is making this out to be one of the best things I've gotten in to in the last few years. Anyone else dig this shit? |

Most people tend to do so in HnK. The only ones who didn't were Rei, Jesus, Raoh and Souther >_> |

I've loved FotNS for years. Oddly, out of all my friends who like anime, I'm the only one who really likes it, though. |

Editted SPOILARZ in title so I can type how I please. I just finished Part 2 of the anime. Rei was an amazing character. His final battle with Juda was great, though the revelation Juda always loved him most was sort of weird. I didn't like Rei seemingly being broke over it though, after Juda had dedicated the last few years to degrading and destroying women. He deserved what he got and then some. As for other points, Raoh's first battle with Ken was epic as hell, can't wait for more of Raoh. Other random points, after finishing part 2: - Mamiya is my 80's waifu. God, I love her. - Lynn is my 80's loli. She's cute as a button. I'll probably take my time on the anime now, but since I've watched up to where the raws end and the manga scanlations begin, I'll probably start up the manga here in a short while. |

I've actually started watching this last week, currently at episode 23. I can't seem to find any place when to get episodes 60-109, though. They seem to have vanished of the internet. |

Very awesome. Been waiting for this for a while. I really like this take on the character designs, and it's good to see that the fighting won't be toned down any. Also, proto-Fuunsaiki = win. |

I just finished through the final battle with Raoh in the manga, and just, WOW. A final battle hasn't gripped me like that in ages. It was much shorter than most recently 'final battle' offerings in manga, but it impacted me a lot more emotionally. I feel like such a loser, Raoh's final words made me tear up a little bit. |

Well, then I guess I'm a loser, too. Raoh was actually my favorite character in HnK, and in some ways he was the reason I never quite jumped on the Master Asia bandwagon like so many others. |

A lot of the reasons a lot of people seemed to like Master Asia so much I had already experienced with Raoh: ass-kicking villain who isn't REALLY a villain with kung-fu horse who has an epic, manly death that causes you to shed tears when you realize the true nobility in the character. I mean, I still liked Master Asia, and I'll admit when I was first exposed to HnK and it's later storyline it was severely fragmented so I had precious little idea of what was going on, but I always remember when I first saw the end of G-Gundam thinking just how much it reminded me of Raoh. |

Sounds reasonable. It gave me a lot of Asia vibes as well, but Raoh struck me harder. Probably because it was a man wrestling with his own pride and love. |

Well, I just finished the manga last night. What an amazing ride, it was. The post time skip stuff had a hard time living up to the first part of the manga, but the final battles with Kaioh generally made up for it, as well as the Kung Fu Jesus stuff of the last few volumes, including Ken's last interactions with Lin and Bat. The ending was well done in my opinion, and in the end made this manga one of my top five favorites ever. Now on to the Densetsu OVAs, and Souten no Ken to prep for Ten no Haoh... |

Everything is on YT if you don't mind the quality drop. Both Raoh Gaidens, and Yuria and Toki Gaidens. |

*Stretch* Well, I've pretty much read and watched all HnK related materials subbed or scanlated. Well, except: HnK 1 58 through the end All of HnK 2 Toki-den Souten no Ken 1-12 (rest isn't out subbed yet...) Shin Hokuto no Ken was... so-so, but the last fight was pretty darn good. Of the Gaiden movies I've seen so far, I'd probably rank either the first Raoh movie or Yuria-den as my favorite. Raoh Gaiden II was fairly decent, and it gave a good rendition of Ken and Raoh's final fight, but I enjoyed Souther's appearance in the first Gaiden a lot more(great villian). I've read four volumes of the Souten no Ken manga, and wow, it's a great read. Kasumi Kenshiro is a fun character. |

Yeah, I was really bummed when Raijin went under, since I was enjoying getting an American release of it. In a lot of ways, I think I enjoyed Blue Sky even more than North Star, just because of the possibilities the setting gave it. |

Well I watched the raw, since I doubt anyone plans on subbing this show. Was actually really good. Didn't tone down the HnK violence at all, which I was pleasantly surprised by. I guess the episode pretty much sets up Raoh's rise to power. The next episode seems to detail Raoh's first encounter with Koku-Oh, which should be really fun to see. I also like how the show almost seems to be making Souga and Reina Raoh's Bat and Lin in a way. Shows a nice comparison between the roles of Raoh and Ken. Overall, so far a real fun show. |
