That's the cheapest I've seen this thing.

The SPEC line is an offshoot of the SOC line isn't it? So the high price is expected, especially since there's diecast metal. If that was one of my all-time favorite mechs, I would gladly pay $60+ for it. I mean, it comes with a stand, is pretty much complete as far as accessories go, and looks pretty damn accurate proportion wise. I'd say it was a very good representation of the Dragonar-1.

I mean I like the GFF line, but after a few years, even I think they're way overrated. They sometimes come with shoddy paintjobs, and pieces don't always stay where they're supposed to. Plus, one small accident, and....BAM...there goes the $40-$50+ you spent on that GFF. At least the SPEC figure looks a bit more sturdy and might be able to survive being accidentally knocked off a shelf or desk.

Same will happen to Die-Cast figures too, it is just a "Pot-Metal" you know, and yea , GFF are over rated and tend to fall apart with a little breeze, the new Full Armor Gundam looks good but is a piece of junk, the older ones` tend to have a better paint job (I am looking at the Titan version MKII and GP01 as I say this) and other then the first one or two lack the big ass gaps where the pieces meet (if i end up buying a more I am just sticking to the old ones) Back to the subject on hand, 60 dollars for that hm? looks/sounds better then most GFF I have seen for the same piece.
