Episode 7 is out. A big Tamaki focus this time around, which is a shame, because she's not really all that interesting. Her boyfriend broke up with her. Uh oes! Anyways, by taking away Murasaki without Shinkurou's permission, the Kuhouin family finally found out where Murasaki is, and of the 7's end, they know Yayoi is guarding it as well. Only thing they don't seem to know about is Shinkurou. The next episode will probably jump-start the storyline into a rather serious arc.

7 was great. I wasn't really too much of a Tamaki fan, but the interactions between her and Muraski this ep were great.

And XD@Murasaki and Shinkuro's convo near the end.

Well, looks like 9 will be the big episode, not 8. 8's out, by the way.

Shinkurou finds out that Murasaki doesn't officially exist as a member of the Kuhoin household, and Murasaki's father's son takes over the hunt for her. The men scoping out the apartment made a move by beating up Shinkurou a bit, but ran after Yayoi showed up. Looks like the next episode will showcase a large scale assault by the Kuhoins to recover Murasaki.

Yeah, Murasaki is adorable. Which is why I'm surprised RGG isn't watching this for the hot loli action. XD

Episode 09 is out. Big episode, this one. We found out exactly what's so strange about the Kuhoins, a little bit about Shinkurou's past, and have the confrontation with the Kuhoins that they've been building up for the past few episodes.

Basically, the Kuhoins commit incest in order to have children. All the girls who are born this way have their identities erased from the official record, and are sent to live in the Inner Sanctum to live out their lives cut off from the outside world. At the age of 13, they are raped by their male siblings until they give birth to a male heir, all females being forced to repeat the fates of their mothers within their own lifetimes. Meanwhile, the men marry women from outside the family to make a show of having real relationships, but they never have children with these women. Like those in the inner sanctum, these trophy wives are just tools, albeit tools with a more comfortable life.

As for Shinkurou, we have confirmation that a terrorist attack is what killed his parents, as seen in that flashback early in the series. Not sure how that was related to the kidnapping where he met Benika though. This came out during a cute moment between Murasaki and him.

In the end, some crazy good female martial artist beat the heck out of Yayoi when the Kuhoins attacked, and although Shinkurou managed to knock out a couple mook guards, she easily dispatched him as well. Meanwhile, Tamaki got punched a few times when she got pissed at being suckerpunched by the thugs she knew nothing about, while Yamie simply surrenders after seeing them hurt Tamaki. Murasaki's brother then entered the room, and using Shinkurou's as a hostage, forced her to swear that her duty was simply to bear children, and come with him 'of her own free will'.

Benika chose to let Shinkurou try to handle things on his own as a show of faith... but it seems to have backfired. She didn't send reinforcements, so now Murasaki is back with the Kuhoins. Benika seems to have suspected that it would happen eventually, though. Just giving her the opportunity to experience the outside world and change seems to have been enough, as far as she's concerned, although I doubt she'll simply resign Murasaki to her fate.

Yeah, Shinkurou jobbed even after all the buildup from Benika. Maybe she thought Murasaki's brother wasn't going to bring crazy ninja chick?

Benika had to have been expecting some tough people to fight against Shinkurou after the conversation she had with Murasaki's father.

Also, Shinkurou needs to use his weird arm thing again. =/ I wonder if it would have helped against that woman.

Who knows, but he seems to avoid using it because he feels like he's using someone else's power, when he wants to be using his own.

Holy ****, episode 11 was awesome! The payoff from all this buildup has been more than worth the wait, and better yet, it looks as if it'll continue into episode 12. Shinkurou may still not be on par with Yayoi, Benika or the Kuhoin's elite agents, but that didn't hamper the progression much at all. I can't wait to see more next week.

Ugh, the brother is even worse this ep. Is he screwing his mom? The whole wait in a warm room comment was really odd. >>;;

Shinkurou was great this ep, even if he wasn't able to accomplish much yet. I like how he never gives up. Hopefully he owns some of those assfaces there, like the bro or Lin.

Next ep is the last one... =/

Yeah, I got the same vibe from the brother... >_>

*cough* Anyway, I really can't see Shinkurou beating anyone without using his armblade thing. Hopefully it gets some use in the next episode so we don't have to see him get the stuffing beat out of him any longer. XD

Hopefully a s2 comes out eventually, I really don't want this to end. =/

I started reading the manga today (ch 1-7 are all that's translated so far). It's okay, I like the anime a lot more, but the manga is good too. The manga is a lot more light hearted than the anime is. Some of the main differences are...

-Murasaki is still part of the Kuhoins apparently, since she attended a party and has a butler guy. >>;;
-Tamaki is revealed to be the head of some dojo and is rather strong.
-Ginko gets a lot more screen time, and they really play up all of the girls liking Shinkurou a lot more.

I wish someone would translate the light novels too.

Just watched. ;_;

Great, underrated series! A season 2 is definitely needed! I don't see why they should believe that Ryuuji and the grandfather aren't going to try to pull anything, but whatever.

Yayoi and Shinkurou ownage! Them using the different style was cool. I wonder if Lin died? I was pissed when Ryuuji stabbed Benika, thank god she was okay. I wish Shinkurou would have killed Ryuuji, but beating/slashing the hell out of him was good enough.

The final scene with them walking was cute. I guess since she is free to do whatever she wants, that the manga might be canon afterall and take place after the series?

More people need to watch! Murasaki=3<3<3

Aw, that's it? ;_; It was nice to see Shinkurou own the brother in hand to hand, and then bust out some crazy moves with his horn to save Benika. I almost wish he had killed him, but that would've spoiled several of his ideals. =/

*sigh* We really need more from this show. It feels like a lot of stuff just never got touched on. They could've easily filled another season by tying things into a new storyline involving the Houziki's past, the terrorists who killed Shinkurou's parents and held he and Ginko hostage, or even just something that addresses the shady side of Benika's little organization.

And yeah, that last scene was cute... but a little weird. Shinkurou in a tux and Murasaki in a wedding dress? At the same ages they're at currently? I guess he really is a lolicon. XD

XD Yeah. But seeing her older would give little hope of a S2 IMO, since it would be like a glimpse into the future. At least now I can hope that there will be one! XD

And agreed on the other things too. I'm realy curious about the Houzukis, as well as the bone weapon (only odd/"power" thing in the series!).

Yeah, I thought the Houzuki Horn would end up being a complete red herring until he whipped it out to save Benika, and even then it was only the focus of a short, passing conversation.
