Well, some of these should come as no surprise. I'm enjoying: -Code Geass r2 -Macross Frontier -Vampire Knight(still tentative, depending on if the plot goes anywhere) -Persona -Trinity Soul-(continued from last season) ..and that's all I've got. I also tried and dropped: -XXXHolic Kei(felt very weird, and since it is a season 2 and I'm probably missing something, I set it to the side despite the fact that it didn't seem bad) -Nabari no Ou(Main character was as interesting as an old brick. He never talks, seems to have little to no personality, and consists only of an ancient power and the fact that he occasionally acts gay to throw people off. Lame to the MAX) ...so what else am I missing out on, and what is everyone else watching? |

Outside of the ones you already mentioned, I'm really enjoying Kurenai and Kanokon. |

Holic is only good if you've watched the first season (and/or the movie), or the manga. I like it, anyway >.> |

Toshokan Sensou (yes I despise the idea but I like it so far) Soul Eater (if you like slapstick stuff and outlandish animation) |

Trying Amatsuki first. I've only watched the opening animation so far, but dead LORD is this show ugly. It makes One Piece, the previous record holder for ugliest freaking anime, look like a piece of art. I swear, did the manga-ka hire a 4 year old to do his character designs or something? Gah! ...I'll still give it a try, but jesus christ, it's already got some really bad marks against it. I didn't even watch One Piece because the art bugged me so much, but this is in a whole other league... |

New stuff only? Downloading Gundam 00 and Macross Frontier so I can watch them when the mood strikes me. I know I say this a lot but someone needs to do Shinchan. >> Speaking of fansubs, http://www.animenation.net/blog/2008/05/09...-sharing-anime/ |

I think the American anime companies just threw a party. It's win-win. They're not the bad guys, and they get what they want. XD |

Decided to continue with Mnemosyne. Clannad (TV) was enjoyable, so the next season should be something to watch out for I guess... Couldn't stand the movie though - Kyoto Animation really just makes everything else look ugly. XD @ ZS, RE: Amatsuki. I saw the opening as well and just quit it straight up. Downloaded, but haven't had a chance to watch Allison and Lillia yet... I think that's what it was called :P well, something like that. Haven't had a chance to see Kamen no Maid Guy yet either... Anyone care to guess the causes of that? Clue: Starts with "W", ends with "irk" as usual :P (I'd say "ork" but then it's not as phonetically sound... XD ) |

Got myself to watch the first 10 minutes or so of Amatsuki one in fast forward. Looks like the premise is a guy who got stuck inside Everquest, or something. I like it, so I think I'll actually give it a try. Surprisingly enough, the show itself looks 10x better than the OP, which helps too. XD |

Okay, I've watched all of episode 1. It really does seem pretty interesting. The main character is a modern-age student, who when taking a virtual reality tour of a half computer generated, half physically constructed mock-up of Edo period Japan, he finds himself attacked by a Nue, a creature from Japanese mythology. It slams his head into the ground, and is about to kill him when he's saved by a young swordswoman. He quickly realized that during the fight, the goggles that allowed him to view the virtual features had broken, and despite that, the sights of the real world have failed to return to him. He then falls unconscious as the damaged bridge beneath him shatters. He awakes in a strange dwelling, and is greeted by a familiar face. Shortly before his disappearance, he had a conversation with a classmate who had also been tasked with the make-up assignment of writing a paper on the virtual tour. Toki, the main character, had thought that the guy had simply wandered off, but after regaining consciousness he discovers that, despite having talked to him just a short while before, his classmate has been trapped in the Edo period for the past two years. Apparently, there's a big difference in the progression of time between the two time periods. Not much else happens after that, and the episode closes with the swordswoman, Toki and the classmate going to meet someone important. I'm very interested in the series now though. It's inclusion of Japanese history and mythology, two things I don't know much about, are really intriguing, and I can't wait to see more. |

Having read Fushigi Yugi... now. Very much no. Although that may be because the shitty ending it had sucked all the fun right out of the rest of the series(and no, I don't count all the shit that happened after the initial plot was resolved as part of the series). |

Speaking of which... I was actually interested in Fushigi Yuugi back... years ago. And then I unwittingly picked up a yaoi doujin (first contact), and dropped it like a large building material. And then dropped the entire series because the imagery latched itself on and hung on like a bitch. |

I thought the series was great... and just when it began feeling a little cheap, characters started dying. And then at the end, the plot resolved itself in a shitty way and everyone came back to life, absolutely ruining everything that had come before. Also, Yui's a bitch. She didn't even get raped, and thinking that she did was her whole reason for turning evil. COME ON! XD |

So I've caught up on Amatsuki... trying Toshokan Sensou next. While fighting over books is awesome in theory, I'm still on the fence after watching the first episode. I'll probably give it until episode 3 before I make a decision on this series. |

Has anyone watched Monochrome Factor yet? >>;; I only watched ep 1... I don't know how the manga is exactly, but when I read it came from a shounen mag, I XD'd considering how... gay it is. Lots of shounen-ai atm. |

I'll add that to my 'try a few episodes' list, I guess. I don't know, I think I'm ready to drop Toshokan Sensou after episode 3. I might watch 4, just to see what the heroine will do, but the very idea of the plot bothers me beyond what my suspense of disbelief can handle. What kind of government would create two government sponsored organizations that directly oppose each other, and then heavily arm them so that they have their own little self-controlled civil war? It's fucking retarded, pardon the language(however appropriate it may be in this case). EDIT: So I've tried one of Lowe's, one of Nabe's... I guess I'll take one of Orochi's suggestions next and try Kurenai. |

I'm loving Kurenai as of episode 2; in fact, even from the beginning I was enjoying it. The characters seem very well fleshed out, and just their interactions are enough to keep me interested. I'm definitely picking up this one. EDIT: Woah, episode 6 was awesome. Funniest thing I've seen in an anime in a long while, anime that are supposed to primarily be comedies included. XD Jennifer~~ Margaret~~ |
