"Here you go, Diana kupo. No worries about taking too much or paying me back, okay?"

The Nu Mou took the proffered potion bottle gratefully, and took a small sip. "Thank you... uhm..." She blushed. "I... didn't catch your name."

Signi got to work healing up the wounded, doing her best to cure the most injured first to conserve energy. "I should probably wear a nurse outfit if I'm going to be the medic. I'll at least get some looks..." She mumbled with a smile, wiping the sweat off her forehead.

"How many times is this now?"

"Haha, I wouldn't worry about that. You look plenty nice enough as it is without such an outfit." Raidou spoke as he passed by Signi, carrying one of the wounded villagers and placing them in a line of other wounded. This was going to take a while, but someone had to do it. "You sure you have enough power to heal all of them by yourself?"

Marik silently carried some more of the injured over to the designated area. It was just something that had to be done.

At the signal, Lufia walked over to the town to help with the wounded. She also really hoped that there'd be some Ethers coming in return.

"Well, I have the 'Medic' outfit covered," she commented after overhearing some of Signi's comments, "I'll take care of the more severe wounds."

"Oh, blessed and humble hand of God, life and..." Lufia chanted, closing her eyes and clapping her hands. She focused as she slowly spoke each word of the chant, sensing the people in the most pain, picking out the details of the injuries, and the amount of power needed for each, "...compassion and deliver us... CURE 2!"

Sparkles of green light gently descended upon a number of the wounded townspeople, their injuries healing up as the spell's power flowed through their bodies. The mass-Cura spell took about half of the MP that Lufia had recovered in the night and she wobbled a bit at the sudden drain in power.

"There you go," she said with a smile, steadying herself on her hammer and wiping some sweat off her brow, "All healed up."

"Thank you... uhm...I... didn't catch your name."

"Me? I'm Kupek Moguru, Chemist in training and eventual Engineer!" The mekka lifted it's arms and flexed, trying to impress the girl. Inside the armor, the yopung moogle was grateful that Diana couldn't see him directly. His shoulders were hiked and he was blushing. She was pretty!

The fallen villagers, practically in unison, all stretched and moved their bodies, testing the extent of their healing. Aside from remnant aches and pains, they all seemed to be doing alright. All that was left was a lot of rest.

"Who are you guys, anyway?" the villager from before asked.

"A group sent by the King to deal with the Goblins," Derry replied.

The villager let out an amused huff, "Looks like he sent the right group. You definitely did a number on them."

He looked back at the corpses of the fallen.

"Anyway, welcome to the humble town of Pyre. Where your dreams come true and you're covered in bees."

Derry simply gave the man a blank stare.

"Kidding of course," he assured them with a chuckle, "Anyway, if you all need anything just ask. I'm sure everyone's pretty grateful you all came."

"Big or small, I really don't want to see another bee for a while..." Lufia said with a sigh, "Also, does this village have any Ether in stock? It'd be really helpful if I, as well as the other magic casters in our group, could get some."

"I'm not exactly a magic guy," he replied, "But I'm sure one of our shops has what you're looking for. Saige, by the way. Call me if you need anything."

And he was off.

Diana smiled timidly at Kupek. "I am... Diana Hypello, summoner in training. Thank you again." She ducked her head in a bow, and sipped on the potion.

After finishing cleaning up her area, Xun walked to the rest of the group and asked. "I don't suppose anyone would know what Goblins would want out of this village other than wanton destruction?"

"Goblins don't usually have complex motivations," Dani said. "Other goblins doing it would be reason enough, and we have ample proof of that. The actual source of all this goblin agression could be far away..."

"Thanks." She said, exhaling as she went about curing the injured. "I'll manage somehow, I'm pretty good at this." Lufia walked over and mass healed the entire group. "Haha, I suppose that helps too." Signi chuckled, falling to her knees and taking a breather.

"Are you two all right?" Sendis asked the mages with some concern, "it won't do for you to tax to exhaustion yourselves."

Diana looked over at Sendis. "Ah... I'm just... a little tired... is all." As the adrenaline from the fight drained away, her voice had reverted back to its quiet murmer.

Diana looked at Sendis with some confusion, then at herself. "But... I am already sitting down...." Indeed, as soon as the battle had concluded, she had slumped against the side of the wagon. Still, the other woman was right; she needed to regain her strength.

"Diana kupo's alright, miss Sendis," Kupek offered as well.

The mekka started rummaging through the satchel at its side a bit. "I've got some ethers here for anyone who needs them, kupo!" the young moogle shouted.

He looked to Diana. "Not a ton of'em of course, I need to stock up on the materials to create more beyond this. But I still have plenty."

"All right," she said hesitantly to Kupek. "Sorry if I'm coming off as overbearing."

"If... it is not too much bother, then..." Diana smiled timidly and gratfully at Kupek, as she set the potion down gently.

"All right, Sorry if I'm coming off as overbearing."

"No, not at all, Sendis kupo! Better to have someone care for you alot than not at all, I always say." He popped his head out of the top of his mekka, and flashed the armored woman a bright, if somewhat weary, smile.

"If... it is not too much bother, then..."

He looked to Diana and blushed, holding up an ether. "Not a bit, kupo."

Diana took the proffered ether, and took a long sip. The feeling of her magical energies being replenished was a huge relief, and she smiled again at Kupek.

"Thank you again, Sir Kupek," she said softly.

Kupek smiled goofily, and the mekka raised it's arms, pushing it's fingers together bashfully.

As Diana took a good look at the embaressed moogle for the first time, one thought came uppermost in her mind.

God, he was cute!

She giggled lightly; she couldn't help it, as all the stress finally drained away from her system. Kupek just looked so adorable doing that, and the mekka increased the cuteness several-fold...
