"I'm not even sure of my own words most of the time, ...but when lives are on the line... some people just react to it all with humor or something different. I remember one guy who'd react to an incoming enemy by getting drunk and charging onto their ship at his first chance." Images of a drunk man (who looked a lot like "Z") charging onto a boat and yelling bloody murder, rushed into her mind and she chuckled slightly at it. Faris smiled gently at Micerhin and once again reached to grab his hand. "Yes... I'm sure once we get there things will be different, but-" the silver haired woman let the words hang in the air for a moment, wondering if she gave them voice that it would cause something terrible to happen. Faris shook her head and moved closer to Mac. "Things will be fine..." the Viera muttered as she wrapped her arms around his waist. "I have to believe things will be fine." |

Mac raised an eyebrow as Faris chuckled softly at the ancedote he'd just told. Note to self, he thought to himself, Don't mention that 'that guy' was me. "Yes... I'm sure once we get there things will be different, but-" "I know, I know." Micerhin nodded, squeezing her hand slightly, "You still worry. I don't blame you at all, Faris." "Things will be fine... I have to believe things will be fine." Kissing Faris on the forehead, he returned the hug and grinned, "Attagirl." "And they will be fine," Mac pulled away from the hug and looked her in the eye, "After all, aren't all of us going there to take out those threatening them?" |

Faris closed her eyes when he pressed his lips against her forehead. She felt a warmth around as he held her and the Viera couldn't help the small smile that filtered across her face. As she felt him pull away, she opened her golden eyes once more at him. "And they will be fine, After all, aren't all of us going there to take out those threatening them?" She nodded her head and her smile softening even more as he spoke. "Yes, you're right. We'll stop them, together..." she felt her cheeks color slightly and glanced away. Though Faris meant all of their team, it had felt more like she was referring to just the two of them. "Ah... We'll be left behind if we don't hurry!" and with those quiet words, the silver haired woman began tugging on him but didn't let him go. |

Tip continues shuffling along, rambling on to whoever will listen, although this time, Kupek seems to have gotten him started. "One does not become a hero through the desire to become a hero. Such a thing is prideful foolishness, or at best, naivety. Actions are what make a hero, regardless of their intentions, but very few of the great ones have ever sought their lofty position. Oh, it seems you have been misjudged, poor Kupek. A mascot you are surely not; with your ambitions, it isn't likely that you'll survive the first Act. It must be done, I'm afraid. Dramatic tension and all." He pats the back of the Moogle's armor as if to console him, true sympathy radiating from his expression. |

"Yes, you're right. We'll stop them, together..." "That's the spirit," Micerhin's smile split into a grin. "...and... if the worst happens, I'll stay by yo-" "Ah... We'll be left behind if we don't hurry!" "Gek!" Mac found himself crying out as Faris dragged him off so they could catch back up to their party, "Yeah, yeah..." he smirked, matching her pace. |

Kupek nodded at Mac's words of encouragement, then looked to the others. Faris seemed tense, so he decided not to push the subject with her. Tip addressed him: "One does not become a hero through the desire to become a hero. Dramatic tension and all." "Hey!" The moogle shouted, his heart wavering at the thoughts of his own mortality flooding into his mind. "I..I'm not gonna die out here, kupo! Especially not against some dumb Goblins! And whaddya mean 'first act'?!" The mekka stomped angrily forward. "You mean like a story? In the stories my dad always told me, people were always doubting him because of his size, kupo! And he always showed them up, just like I'm gonna do!" The mekka banged on it's chest, making a loud gong sound that disconcerted the moogle inside. "That wasn't such a good idea, kupo," he mumbled to himself. "And besides," he continued, mildly wobbling. "how come the drunk guy doesn't buy it, but I do?" |

Tip shakes his head incredulously. "Yes yes yes, of course like a story, what else did you presume this to be?" He smiles and drops his free hand on the armor's head, giving it a good rub. "But worry not. Generally, only one must die early in the hero's journey to inspire courage and faith, and as long as you don't start telling your life story out of the blue, your chances of survival will increase exponentially. After all, as it stands, you still have the young lovers to compete with." He jerks his thumb towards Mac and Faris. "Ah, young love is so often crushed for the sake of drama. It is truly a sad, sad sight. Making plans before entering the field of battle like this is tantamount to suicide!" |

Zereal listened to the newcomer's sesquipedalian loquaciousness, his commentary on life in reference to fiction, and his comments about the "mascot" not living through the first act. Sounds like someone who hasn't done a whole lot of living... "Life isn’t divided into genres," he said to the pair, leaning over. "It’s a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel. You know, with a bit of pornography if you're lucky." |

Making plans before entering the field of battle like this is tantamount to suicide!" Kupek turned his head to look over at Mac and Faris, and was stunned by the sudden appearance of Zereal instead. "Life isn’t divided into genres. It’s a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel. You know, with a bit of pornography if you're lucky." He nodded the mekka's head as he heard the soused redhead out. "Yeah! he said, "and I'm gonna get lucky, kupo!" It was rather obvious that the word pornography had escaped his ears. |

[[OOC: Well, one more post before bed... X3]] The Viera vaguely heard Mac make a noise but the buzzing in her ears was really starting to annoy her. She gritted her teeth some and waited a few moments to let the ringing subside. As the moments past, the ringing dying down, Faris heard Mac start talking again; "Anything I can do? At all?" She reached out and grabbed Micerhin's coat tightly, "Yes," she once again hissed slightly, "Kill the moogle..." |

"Yes," "And that is?" "Kill the moogle..." "..." Micerhin wasn't quite sure how to respond. On the one hand, he did certainly understand how she felt... but he wasn't about to go around being a 'teamkilling fucktard,' as some would call it. Especially to such a nice and well-meaning kid like Kupek. Emphasis on kid. And also that armor would probably be a bitch to get through, a tiny voice in the back of his head rationalized. "...what?" |

"Yes yes yes, of course like a story, what else did you presume this to be? But worry not. Generally, only one must die early in the hero's journey to inspire courage and faith, and as long as you don't start telling your life story out of the blue, your chances of survival will increase exponentially. After all, as it stands, you still have the young lovers to compete with." "You sound like a man who's been reading stories almost his entire life. Such situations and events only occur within the pages of books to my understand. However, you seem to treat life as if it were just another story... Tell me, do you genuinely believe it is nothing but a story to you, and that some of us will die?" Raidou asked. Part of him was curious to know the answer, while the other part wanted to know what kind of stories he had read. "Ah, young love is so often crushed for the sake of drama. It is truly a sad, sad sight. Making plans before entering the field of battle like this is tantamount to suicide!" "It is...?" he asked, turning his head away for a bit and scratching it. "I suppose it is better for me to not have forged bonds with a significant other..." he commented, taking the mans words as truth for a moment. After a moment, it was Z's turn to speak up, with Kupek following. "Life isn’t divided into genres. It’s a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel. You know, with a bit of pornography if you're lucky." "Yeah! and I'm gonna get lucky, kupo!" Within a few moments of the declaration, Rai turned slightly red, bringing his left hand up to facepalm at his rather-stunning revelation of wanting to get laid. "K-Kupek, that isn't something you should announce to the rest of the team, you know..." |

Lufia walked along, shaking her head and dragging her hammer behind her. Hearing Tip's talk about stories and mascots irked her. The 'I'm better than you' tone of voice didn't do much else to help either. Kupek banging on his armor suit and making loud noises just made things worse. "It is...? I suppose it is better for me to not have forged bonds with a significant other..." "Don't listen to him, Rai," Lufia said, shaking her head, "This isn't some story written for people to read for enjoyment. There is no pre-set plot and there definately are no clichés like 'guaranteed death if you talk about loved ones or future plans just before a battle'. It's life." (OOC: Says a character in a RP) She then lifted her hammer anf pointed it at Tip. "...and you!" Lufia said, "If you want to talk as if we're all characters from some crazy story, keep it to yourself. Especially the parts about people being 'mascots' or 'guaranteed death for the purpose of drama'. It's disrespectful and annoying." |

Tip blinks, at least presumably, as the wave of negativity passes his way. Mentally off balance(although is that really unusual?), he quickly responds to Raidou and Dani. "W, well, it wouldn't make much sense for the characters to believe as such anyway, and one must admit that thinking of death as an inevitability is rather depressing and unproductive. But any good story that builds off danger will consistently fall short of its potential if it fails to create a tangible sense of danger; injuries and tough battles just lose their flavor after a certain point. And this group is heading into actual danger, is it not?" Tip shrugs heavily, his large, poofy pants somehow shaking enthusiastically at the motion. "Either way, to think of one's self as invincible is certainly a better way to invite death than to consider it a possibility, wouldn't you concur?" Tip regains his smile as Sendis speaks up on his behalf. "Yes yes yes. No disrespect has been intended by these comments; I am simply analyzing the situation as it presents itself. In fact, no one here can claim to be doing anything different." |

"...what?" Faris let go of Micerhin's shirt and sighed quietly, rubbing her ears. "No, no- I'm just," the woman's face contorted, "I was just angry. Please, just ignore it." She said with another sigh before releasing her ears. They slowly raised back over her head and the left one twitched slightly. Looking over towards the others, the silver haired woman noted that most seemed to be conversing with the new member. "What do you think he did?" |

"Good," Mac had a soft smile, unable to surpress it as he watched Faris' ears twitch and move the way they did, "I wasn't looking forward to the thought of a wanted poster with my mug on it." "What do you think he did?" "...from what I can tell," Mac whispered softly, nodding toward Tip, "new guy likes fiction a little too much. Faris blinked at this and tilted her head slightly, "I don't know, having your picture to carry around with me seems kind of nice." she smirked lightly at him, before waving her hand. "Besides, I highly doubt that you could have taken Kupek's mekka." "...from what I can tell, new guy likes fiction a little too much. I think he was trying to predict our fates via stereotypes or something." The Viera looked back towards Tip and her smirk widened. Mac replied wryly, shaking his head, "But yeah, never been too good on dealing with the giant things." "How silly that is. Everyone knows the man who gives the most exposition is usually one of the first characters in a story to die." There is no pre-set plot and there definately are no clichés like 'guaranteed death if you talk about loved ones or future plans just before a battle'. It's life." "I guess you're right in that regard... However, I can't help but believe their are higher beings looking upon us as we begin our adventure. It's almost as if they were there since the day of our beginning and continue to guide us. What's to say such beings will or will not throw those cliche's at us?" he asked, looking to Lufia. After several moments, he shook his head. "Sorry about that. I sound like i'm speaking nonsense here." It was then that Tip continued to speak about other story cliches and ideals, applying them to their own adventure. "Honestly, i'm not afraid to admit that i'll die. Whether it's today, tomorrow, or several days from now doesn't matter to me though... However, I fully intend to accomplish the goals I set before myself, despite whatever danger stands in my way." he commented, pointing forward towards nothing. "No matter whether we treat this as life or you treat it as a story, we still have things to do. I'd suggest we dispense with the arguing for now and hasten our advance towards out destination." |
