That's not how Bandai does things. They'll release a separate MG Sword Impulse, then maybe later and do an MG Impulse "Final Battle Version", which will just be the Force with the Sword Silhouette thrown in. |

Apparently, it IS how Bandai does things X3 (not rubbing it in your face, so don't get me wrong, k?) EDIT: Posted Image |

I'm a little peeved that they didnt' include the whole Sword Silhouette ala the 1/100 Metallic Force Impulse. Then I could've just made it into the Sword Impulse (my fave pack of the 3 default ones). |

Well if they're throwing in an Excalibur then I wouldn't mind one Defiant then either. << |

What? It just shows Impulse totally missing with the anti-ship sword... Actually, in that pic, I think the MG Freedom looks better than the newer MG Impulse. |

<_< ...just...the pose...nvm... ANYWAY...looks like they're adding the little "beam at the end of the sword" part just for that kind of pose... EDIT: More pics from Toysdaily *refrains from comments...might be "corrected" again <_<* http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/viewthread...&extra=page%3D1 |

It's only "missing" because they weren't about to wreck one of their own models for fear of hurting sales. :P |

Sweet they added the little beam? Now I need a MG Freedom and an X-acto knife. Mm yeah look at those sexy porportions on the MG Impulse. Very sweet. I just might keep mine separated. |

I actually think accurately showing the scene with the sword actually going through the MG Freedom would've been a really nice display for advertising. I mean, I can tell they were trying with the camera angle and all that, but it's still seems like a lame attempt to me in that picture. I'm sure Bandai could've paid a decent modeller to accurately recreate the scene for a few glamour shots. Oh well, I will agree that it's a very nice looking kit. I would've preferred the Sword Impulse, but I guess that's still a possibility in the future since they already have the mold for one of the Excaliburs, the 3 Impulse parts and the Silhouette glider. |

They could have done that, but Bandai prefers everything to look pristine and beautiful on the box photos (which is what that picture will inevitably be). And I like Sword Impulse better too, but at least the existence of a Force and the Excalibur means it's potentially easier. |

http://www.picspay.com/uploads/ngeekhiong/...mpulseMG_01.jpg Looking really Oowashi there, Force Silhouette. It's funny 'cuz the 1/100 Oowashi and Shiranui packs are MG-compatible. |

How do you figure? Two wings? A thruster at the back? It attaches to the back of an MS maybe? |

Same general shape, the variable wings, the coattails, the positioning of the fins/spoilers/whatever, etc. |

The boxart, though very cool looking, just seems odd to me. I don't remember the Force Impulse ever using that combination of weapons in the show other than in the Freedom stab scene. I thought for sure we were going to see the Force Impulse with an Excalibur dashing towards the Freedom, but I guess they decided to go a different route. |

Yeah, but at that point Lunamaria had switched over to the Sword Silhouette, she wasn't using the Force Silhouette anymore. Plus that battle was in atmosphere, not in space. |
