Well folks, this is it: the topic I've dreaded making for a long time. Back when I first postponed this RP due to the crap that was swamping my life, I said that I wasn't going to let this game die so long as people still wanted to play it. And then, when I finally tried to get it off the ground once again, I reiterated that as long as my players still wanted to play, I'd find a way to make this game work. But now, I'm afraid that's simply no longer an option. When I came up with my original 3A idea, it was probably one of the most ambitious game ideas I've ever conceived. After all, the original SRW @A was the longest-running and most successful RP we've ever done, so anything that was gonna build upon it would hafta be equally as grand in scope to be successful. At that has proven to be the Achilles heel of this game, because in order for it to survive, it needs a tremendous amount of support to keep it aloft, support which it simply can't get any more. Ever since the restart, player participation has dwindled to less than half of it's previous level, and that's simply not enough people to keep this thing afloat. And while I've considered various ways to increase the interaction between our few remaining players, the amount of added time that it would require is simply unfeasible, not to mention the fact that it would be altering this RP into something fundamentally different. And I'm not gonna rip out the heart and soul of this game just to keep it artificially alive for a bit longer. Now, I don't want anyone to feel that this is somehow their fault in particular. If there's one thing I've learned over the last few months, it's that sometimes shit happens, and you just can't do much about it. Many of our veteran players had their real life priorities change, and in so doing they simply lacked the time to be involved in something like this. Seriously, how can I complain about something like that, especially after my own issues. Others found their attentions drawn away by other RPs, which is also understandable. The fact that anyone was willing to tough it out in my game for this long makes me both very happy and more than a little humbled. To everyone who was involved in this endeavor of mine, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. While I'm a longtime gamer and GM, this was the first time I'd ever gotten a chance to do so for all of YOU. I consider each and every one of you here on the Guild to be a dear friend, and getting to do something like this for you all was a dream come true. I can only hope that perhaps someday, when things are different for all of us, I might be allowed to do something like this for you again. In the meantime, I want to wish my fellow GMs good luck with their current and future games, and my players all the best. And remember, more so than anything else.... ...have fun. |

Well, I'd rather you not screw over your life trying to manage this for everyone, so this was probably a good decision. The initial delay in the game, at least in my case, sort of made it hard to get back into when it started back up. Real Life issues with other players definitely were a factor as well and you can't do much about it, so I don't think this was the fault of anyone or even everyone. |

Well, I don't want to have anything interfere with your life and evyerhting, I know your busy just about all of the time. But I can't say that I'm not horribly disappointed, if not crushed with what all of the things I'd written/thought beforehand. |

I know, and believe me, I feel the same way. I had SO many things I wanted to do, and it galls me that I have to leave things half-finished. But, with so many of the players unable to post, there really isn't much alternative. About the only way this RP could survive now is if I rewrote the storyline to require only a few characters, and restructured my plans to make them far more active and scripted. But, that would require me to be on pretty much constantly to monitor things, and would force several of the story elements to be altered beyond recognition, or just dropped altogether. And even then, like I said...it really wouldn't be 3A anymore. However, I'm sure that at some point SG will start his MXA idea, and there's always the chance you could port your ideas over to it, angry. |

Considering how often it's stopped, i'd assume this is the real deal. Sorry to hear that... But you've got more time to focus on your life without having to lead us about. Go and do what needs to be done, eh? |

...damn, and I'd finall gotten enough free time to catch back up in the RP again (only a page or two, but still). Like you said, though, Bossman, life happens. It sucks that it does, but it seems that the December through April months are the worst for RPs around here for one reason or another. Either the players get swamped from school or vacations at certain times during that part or something. And I had finally figured out how I wanted to write Vic Cross too, damn. :lol: Ah, well. It was a good run, even so. Hope to see you around the next time we get a large RP started, Bossman. |

Yeah, this one's permanent, I'm afraid. I just can't make this RP work when so many of my players can't be a part of it, and even if I could, I wouldn't want to. I mean, the player interactions are what this is all about, yannow? |

I had no plans either. Rough ideas, perhaps, but no plans. For Max, there were things I was thinking about ranging from how to I would make an upgrade transition work to if he was going to suddenly snap and go ballistic on everybody with some trouble people receiving some happy time with his hand or brig time. |

As this being my first endeavour into making fleshed out characters (all the ones I did before were just simple side-characterish fellows), I had alot of plans, so out of everyone, I'll probably miss using Abeni the most. |

I didn't really have a grand scheme or anything big to go by... Most of it was usually thought up on the spot. Big and elaborate, or secretive plots weren't really my strong points. |

Well I guess I can think of a few things. Arns would have gotten that full armour upgrade that I posted in the mecha topic. My battle Team would have eventually become a somewhat credible threat. Plus we had a Final Nagahama Special cooked up too. Uh Kaina would've come back. At some point. And then cue Final Dynamic Special since we actually had all the Dynamics filled out this time. |

Junko: - She would have been revealed to be a Mycene Princess, directly fathered by Ankoku Daishogun, a la all the hot princesses of evil SR enemies in the old classics. She would have been a bait for Tetsuya(which he took) in order to bring despair to the pilot of Great Mazinger even after Daishogun's death. - Junko's upgrade would have been a Femme Super Robot about half as powerful as base Mazinkaiser, with its own version of Kaiser Nova. Fei & Yan: - Their Koukijin would have been busted up during a fight, and their pleas for help would be answered by the Ranbu and Kojaku guardian spirits, making the true JakuBoOh/BoJakuOh or w/e. |

I was going to have Feena blow a giant hole in Shirogane while on the moon, and Zeravire forces showing up to harass the Alphas even more, but that didn't get to go as planned, so... XD |

Other than pulling ouy the Lyovern in the far future when there probably would be stuff too deadly for a normal Real Robot to fight, I had no plans. Caine and Alice were just along for the ride. |
