Just for giggles, here's something to hopefully fill some people in on the events between Alpha 3, and Alpha Again. Mind you, this does not take in to account the warping that allows series such as Gravion, Tekkaman Blade, etc. to be in 3A - this is counting the original timeline, pre-warp in 3A. Either way - enjoy! ~ Five years have past since the climatic final between between the heroes of Earth, and the Spirit Emperor Keiser Ephes. With the violence of the Buff Clan silenced, the STMC pushed to the outer reaches, tame for now, Earth would finally enjoy a long awaited peace. But like with all good things in life, this too would not last very long. New rumblings of conflict would soon begin - starting with the monumental drop of the ruined space colony of Junius 7. Aided by the suddenly appearing Jovian Lizards who bore an unknown origin, remnants of Anti-Natural leader Patrick Zala's regime dropped the remnant of the great Balmar War on Earth, creating major devastation; and the opening others needed to move about their own dark plans. The remnants of the Dinosaur Empire, led by an again reformed, refived Emperor Gol, raised Machineland, this time in America, specifically, Manhattan, New York. Away from the heroes of Japan, Gol felt he would finally have victory in his grasp - were it not for Musashi, the infamous pilot of Getter-3. Using Getter-1, Musashi would sacrifice himself, tearing out its Getter Reactor and self-detonating, destroying Machineland and Gol, presumably, at the cost of his life - and the island of Manhattan. The resulting backlash resulted in a ban on Getter energy, shutting away one of Earth's greatest champions due to public outcry. As a new war began between the Earth Federation and PLANT, the forces of the Vegan star system intervened. Making their base on a ruined Earth Federation base, naming it appropriately the Skull Moon Base, the Vegans began their assault on Earth in earnest, hoping to capitalize on the ban on Getter energy, and Kouji Kabuto's being tied elsewhere in the cosmos as a spaceman. Earth would be aided against this new menace by a new champion of justice, a man bent on vengeance against these Vegan invaders, Daisuke Umon - also known as Duke Freed, royalty of the planet Freed, a planet the Vegans had torn asunder in their quest for power. Using the powerful Grendizer, Duke would join up alongside the remaining Japanese Super Robot heroes to fight off the Vegans, while also preparing to battle against Emperor's Gol slowly developing Dinosaur menace. As the Earth Federation made its next ruthless move, an attempt to destroy the PLANTs with nuclear weapons once more, PLANT would be aided by a new party - an interstellar species of alien observers, called the 'Einst'. Without so much as another word, the avatar of this species, named Alfimi, would destroy the weapons and the attacking Earth Federation fleet, leaving more questions than answers. A third party made their move in to the war effort. Nergal Industries would create the powerful battleship Nadesico. Tasked with heading to Mars to deal with the new threat of the Jovian Lizards attacking the Barmians there after they uncovered an ancient relice, the Nadesico, captained by the beautiful Misumaru Yurika, headed to the red planet with incredible enthusiasm. PLANT's chairman, Gilbert Durandal, would send peace keeping forces to help in the humanitarian problems facing Earth after the drop of Junius 7, now called 'Break the World'. Additional in-fighting in South America would draw ZAFT's attention, and a young reporter named Jess Rabble would help bring all these problems to light in the years following this war. The turning point in the war would come a scant few months after its beginning. Berlin, Germany, would be laid to waste by the forces of the Earth Federation, and more specifically, a branch of Blue Cosmos known as LOGOS. The ZAFT Special Forces Unit attached to the new battleship Minerva would fight the Destroy Gundam, aided suddenly by the appearance of former war hero Kira Yamato. The Vegans would also make a move during this, seeming to aid the LOGOS in destruction of the Coordiantor sympathizing city. Shinn Asuka, ace pilot of Minerva's Impulse Gundam, would watch as Kira Yamato destroyed the Destroy Gundam, piloted by a person he knew personally, and cared for. The ensuing media blitz used by Chariman Dullindal would be used to sway the public against Kira Yamato and his sympathizers, as part of a shadowy plot to remove the biggest variable of his coming plans - Lacus Clyne. With LOGOS destroyed, the cancerous tumor of the Earth Federation removed, humanity once more began to work together. But unfortunately, the first mission this new army embarked upon was striking down one of its own. 'Operation Angel Down', a plan proposed by Dullindal and agreed to by the Earth Federation, was the operation to remove Kira Yamato and the Archangel as variables. Begrundingly, the Alpha Numbers assembled for this mission accepted it, fighting through the sympathizers of Lacus to eventually face Kira, and defeat him. Shinn Asuka would prove victorious, seeming killing Kira with his own hands. Athrun Zala would turn rogue during this, forcing Shinn to also take the life(apparently) of his up to then mentor. Meanwhile, at Mars, Nergal's Nadesico would succeed in reaching Mars and securing the ruins, defeating the Jovian Lizard detachment with the assistance of Ryuuzaki Kazuya's Daimos, and the Combattler Team. Nadesico's ace pilot, Akito Tenkawa, would be apparently killed during this battle, facing off against a red machine piloted by a mane named Hokuten. Hokuten's forces would also kidnap Yurika, leaving the Nadesico in the hands of Ruri Hoshino, and leaving them with the realization to see their comrades again, they would have to take the battle to the Jovian Lizards doorstep at Jupiter. Neo Getter, the solution to the Dinosaur Empire problem with the ban on Getter in place. As the battle moved to space for the rest of Earth's heroes, Neo Getter faced off against the fully revived Emperor Gol, with America's Texas Mack in tow. Aided by the sudden appearance of the original Getter team using the infamous Shin Getter, Gol was again beaten; this time for good, and his Dinosaur Empire destroyed permanently. Up next on the Federation's plate while the Nadesico handled the lizards, was the remnants of LOGOS and the Vegans, both located on the moon. The forces of the Alpha Numbers would split in two - the real robots heading to Deadalus to face off against LOGOS, and the Supers heading off to finish off the Vegans. The Jovna Lizards, meanwhile, would be defeated. Thanks to the efforts of Tsukumo Shiratori, peace would be agreed between the two sides. The Nadesico crew would learn of the Jovians - a group of colonists cut off from all outside contact thanks to the machinations of Paptimus Scirocco and Crux Dogatie. With the defeat of the Balmar, the Jovians finally felt safe to begin exploring space, and meeting with their human comrades once more, but their exploration drones, the 'Lizards' would either be malfunctioned, or programmed by right-winged Jovians who believed in hot blooded domination, rather than peace. Yurika and Akito would still be missing. Back at the moon, the battle on Daedalus would begin. ZAFT's Minerva, and the Albion would ruin the base with ease, following LOGOS' use of its REQUIEM cannon, destroying numerous PLANTs, ending the lives of millions. ZAFT would take hold of the base after its easy defeat, but LOGOS' then leader, Lord Djibril, would make his escape. His escape would not go as planned though - as a black machine would obliterate the ship he attempted to leave on. No one among the Alpha's would recognize the machine that aided them, but as the Nadesico joined with the Alpha Numbers following this operation, the president of Nergal, Akatsuki certainly would. The Vegans would attempt the unthinkable on their side of the campaign; attempting to revive the giant combined Primeval defeated on the moon years earlier. They would succeed, but only hurt themselves in the process - it would be rogue, creating a multitude of Zonders that attacked them as the Alpha Numbers attacked them as well. Duke Freed would have his vengeance, defeating King Vega with his own hands, but the rapidly growing and spawning Combined Primeval was a new problem - a new problem handled with ease by the sudden appearance once more of the Einst, and their avatar Alfimi. Earth Federation soldiers Kyosuke Nambu and Excellen Browning would defeat Alfimi, but be left with again, more questions than answers. With all threats seemingly handled besides the Einst menace, Gilbert Durandal made his move. Announcing the 'Destiny Plan', his own plan for moving humanity ahead was something that divided the Alpha Numbers right down the middle. While people like Gai Shishioh believed in free will and the pursuit of happiness by ones own hands, the more cynical fights like Camille was sick of humanities constant need for war. The battle would then go ways - as the Alpha Numbers either decided to be for or against Durandal's plans, or not even participate anyway. But all fence sitting was ended as Durandal obliterated the surrendering remains of the LOGOS, and then quickly made its aim Orb with the aquisitioned REQUIEM cannon. The Alpha Numbers moved against Durandal, joined by the supposed dead Lacus Clyne, Kira Yamato, and Athrun Zala. The Minerva crew as well joined in the fight, Shinn Asuka especially, after fighting alongside so many veteran heroes, believing in the power of humanity to continue on, and better itself without outside influence. Employing the Martian Successors, or what remained of them, Durandal fielded Hokushin and his troops against the onslaught, feeling that even bloodthirsty killers like Hokushin have their job in society. Hokushin would be killed - by Akito Tenkawa, appearing within the Black Salena, his mind and body destroyed by a month of terrifying experimentation by the Martian Successors hand. Yurika as well would be found aboard Durandal's fortress of Messiah; another Successor plot Durandal was ignorant of. REQUIEM and the Messiah would fall, and Gilbert Durandal would be killed, leaving a bittersweet legacy of wishing for the better of mankind. This bittersweet moment would not last long, as the Einst would make their move; absorbing the dying Messiah and creating the Einst's greatest weapon, the Stern Regissuer. Transferred to a special dimension only known as "Einst Space", the Alpha Numbers would fight off and defeat this alien menace, leaving the Earthlings would the knowledge that it was some sort of observer race, coming to the 'land of beginnings'. To do what, the Alpha Numbers never really knew, but seeing as how they threatened life on Earth, and in the colonies, they had to be eliminated either way. Peace would again reign, as a mysterious life form stirred on the moon... ~ There ya go! |

Very nicely done, SG. Don't think Banpresto itself could've done much better. |
