I loved that scene. Hell, I loved the whole damn movie. For my money, it was everything I could've wanted in a Speed Racer movie, and everyone just seemed to be having an utter BLAST making it. Quantum of Solace is Friday, so I'm definitely gonna see that, and just because I was a sucker for the first two, I'm gonna go see Transporter 3 after that. Didn't even know there would BE a third one 'til the other day. XD |

I can’t wait to see Quantum of Solace. It seems to be getting favorable reviews from everyone so far. Hopefully I work later in the day Friday so I can see it before I clock on, but I don’t think that I will. |

I thought Speed Racer was good. Could of been better with less talking and more racing. Convinced my friends to see it but it didn't last more than a week here. |

I know what you mean, I saw the commercial a couple days ago and wondered when the hell that happened. I'm kinda hoping it's more like the first one than the second, for some reason the second one didn't quite do it for me. |

Second one was too American. Part of what gave the first one it's feel was the European setting and vibe from everything. |

Son of a... I took home a Quantum of Solace teaser v.2 and final one-sheet today. This is good as they are both really nice looking. The bad is that I accidentally tore the final one-sheet. That’s a shame. I’ve never quite seen a poster that has the same texture as the final one-sheet has. Also, again we got screwed out of Watchmen posters. That’s a shame too. Finally, I really hope we get one of these one-sheets: http://img20.imageshack.us/my.php?image=th...toodstillf5.jpg |

Saw QoS last night, as a stand alone film that would've sucked, as CR pt. 2 it was terrific. Only thing I didn't like about it is that it seems that with the customary gunshot silhouette at the end they could either say that it's closing the CR storyline or just beginning a Quantum storyline for the next film depending on the box office numbers. Asd hates that kind of ambiguity >< |

I totally dug Quantum of Solace. The first half of the movie just flew by in some spectacular chase sequences. Last half barely slowed down. I want more. I am absolutely loving Daniel Craig as Bond. |

QoS was really good, though I agree that it doesn't stand on it's own well at all. Personally, I'm expecting the next movie to continue the QUANTUM theme, but have no other real connections aside from that. It's sort of funny to see how much the spy franchise has changed in Hollywood post-Bourne, and while I don't wanna see the Bond films become just a British version of the Bourne franchise, I think the overall change is going to be for the better. Bond spent 20 films being the suave, lady-killing playboy who carried around more implausible toys than Inspector Gadget, and since Casino Royale was a total reboot, I've got no real problems with the direction the franchise is now taking. I hope Craig has at least 2-3 more Bond films in him, though. He's just too perfect in the role as it's now being defined. |

I watched a hand full of movies yesterday. I started with Role Models. It was a pretty good film. It wasn’t a really funny movie like Tropic Thunder or Zack and Miri, but it still got some good laughs out of me. The plot was extremely predictable though. I then moved on to Quantum of Solace. As an action film, it was really good. I really loved the pace of the film and its direction. As a Bond film, I’m not sure that I’m sold at all. It really didn’t feel like a Bond film. It seemed like more of a standard action movie. The move of the scope shot didn’t help at all. I’m really unsure of why they did that. It didn’t tie into anything that happened and it only seemed to irritate the fanboys. After QoS I finally sucked it up and watched Max Payne. What a drop off in quality that was. It was a prime example of when writers just string plot points together without really thinking them through. I’m still lost as to what Mona’s character was even doing in the story. She seemed to just be there and was never really developed outside of being Natasha’s sister. Was she a cop, a gangster, a figment of Max’s imagination? She could be anything really. Also, the whole drug thing hurt my brain. If it only worked on 1% and drove the rest to violent hallucinations, then why did it seem to have no effect either way on the people that were taking it at that party. Nothing in the movie made sense if you just think it through really. The one thing that I did learn though, Olga Kurylenko is unbelievably attractive. |

Yes she is. I also saw QoS. I'll echo what everyone else said. Good action but not the Bond we know. Which can be good and/or bad. I think it's more on the good side. |

We had a special today where people could turn in 5 can goods to the Salvation Army for a free ticket to any movie before 5 and it had some interesting results. Nobel Son sold a whole 5 tickets all day. 4 of which were sold after the special ended. For what I hear is a good movie, that is an interesting result. Also, Punisher didn’t even break the 100 mark and about 30 of the tickets were sold after the special. Unlike Nobel Son though, I hear nothing but bad things about the movie. |

From what's been said, it's much worse. And from the parts that I've seen, I have to agree so far. It just seem silly and stupid. I'm still going to see it however. Ray Stevenson is dead on as Frank Castle apparently though. |

Saw QoS yesterday. Good timing too. Last week I watched CS on BD with my friend. I was surprised when QoS started that CS on BD looked better than QoS in theater. Especially without the kids ruining the experience. >< I think CS and QoS might be my favourite Bond movies so far. Not that I remember much from the old ones. They are definitely better than the Brosnan movies. Didn't have time to see Punisher. I enjoyed the Thomas Jane movie. It sucks that it took this long for it to come out that Jane had to move on to other projects. |

I'm with you there, Shin... but from what I hear, this movie isn't really about Jane's Punisher. I hear this is the "I EAT BABIES! RAWR!" Punisher who's a total dick and completely unsympathetic. |

Ironically one of the biggest reasons people have been saying they don’t want to see the new Punisher is because Jane isn’t in it, but at the same time, just about the only consistently good thing that has been said about it is that Stevenson as the Punisher is dead on and out does Jane in the previous movie. |
