Yesterday saw: Get Smart. Liked it. Smart was more Steve Carrel than Maxwell Smart but that's OK. One of my friends is a fan of the series and hated it. I liked the series and thought it was good. Laughed at all the jokes except the swinging into the wall one which wasn't funny the first time I saw the trailer or the dozen times after. >.> Wall-E. Nice. Could of been better if it had zero dialogue. If anyone is capable of pulling it off these days, it's Pixar. Hancock. Liked it. The initial concept felt watered down but in general a good movie. I have a friend who said it was too super-heroish. Yeah... I also know a guy who said X-Men was too fantastic and unrealistic. >.> |

I liked Hancock other than the first half has basically been revealed in trailers. I think reviewers who say the plot twist makes no sense need to fuck off and die. They hinted at it throughout the movie. I'm surprised people considered it a plot twist at all. I saw Journey to the Center of the Earth. I liked it. A few cheesy moments where you know they wanted to just show off the 3D effects, but my piece of shit theater doesn't do 3D. >> |

Saw Handcock and Wanted. Wouldn't consider either of them perfect genre defining cinematic master pieces, but still fun enough to warrant a few bucks per movie so long as ya like actiony flicks. Still gotta see Hellboy II soon. EDIT: just finished watching The Machine Girl, that movie is what makes me like b-movies, so hilariously over the top and with a piss poor script and crappy effects while being able to take itself too seriously and not seriously at all at the same time. |

Saw Machine Girl, and XD'd most of the way through. How the hell did she survive the drill bra though? I thought for sure she was dead right then. Also saw Hancock tonight. I was... disappointed. I didn't like the plot twist, and the best parts of the rest of the plot were spoiled in the trailers. I really felt like I didn't even need to see the movie. I told my dad afterward that I should have just gone and seen Wanted again. |

I just saw it too. I didn't go in expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. I liked it. Of course some of the better parts of the movie were ruined in the trailers but I guess that's to be expected these days. <_< I didn't mind the plot twist, it's not like it wasn't foreshadowed a little. You could tell so easily that that the PR guy's wife knew Hancock in the past. All her facial expressions and camera angles were screaming it. I just didn't expect it to be the way it was. I probably didn't need the spoiler tags... |

I saw something coming in regards to that, but I just didn't like what it was. =/ EDIT: On second thought, it's not that I didn't like what it was. I just didn't like where it went in terms of the plot. |

...XD Also, the trailer for The Spirit is a stinking pile of... well, I'm sure you can figure out what. I have absolutely no drive to see the movie now, despite Samuel L. Jackson. LOWE PROCLAMATION EDIT: Sex =/= good movie. And that's all the trailer is trying to sell. Explanation complete. |

Yes. They showed this during the previews before Dark Knight. I'll admit and say that I am not all too familiar with the Watchmen, but this looks very nice. I would like to apologize for not knowing or have read the Watchmen. When I get a chance, I will pick it up. |

I saw Mamma Mia. I've watched romantic comedies and musicals before, but this was the first movie that felt like so much of a chick flick that it alienated me. Then again, I tend not to watch movies with names like "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants", so it may not be one of a kind. |

Watchmen is a great read, but it's also a very long read, and at times a rather dry read. It took me three tries to get through it all the way, and while I very much liked it at the end, it's not something I feel I can just pick up and re-read whenever I want...and I re-read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings once a year. |

I just now realized that L: Change the World is not the second Death Note movie, but a sequel to the second Death Note movie, and therefore an entirely original creation. Now I must see it! |

"Blindness" looked good, but i've heard bad things from people who have seen it already. I'm really hoping art season is really good this year. Last year was a bit dissapointing. |

Just got back from X-Files and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I'm not even a big X-Files fan, but my wife is. She squeed a lot. ^_^ There is a cute little scene toward the end of the credits that I'd recommend staying for. |
