Looks more structured than your typical Scary Movie. ROFFLE @ Leslie Nielsen scene. XD This has inspired me to start Leslie Nielsen and Mel Brooks movie marathons. XD New stuff involving them? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Waterman_Movie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaceballs:_The_Animated_Series |

Comedian looks the best, followed by Rorschach (which is rather easy to do). Nite Owl's costume works well, though I would've almost preferred it to have been less Batman-looking. Ozy's is fine, but now we're gonna hear Bat-nipple comments for months again. Silk Spectre...I sunno if it's the actress or the costume, but I just dun care for it. |

Been thinking about it, but I'm probably just gonna go play Smash Bros. with my friends instead. Let me know how it is, since we've been sorta undecided on it. |

Spears are always in abundance. I haven’t seen it myself as I’ve been working since it’s release, but it seems to be at best okay. A couple of my coworkers already went to see it and neither of them liked it. |

I've heard "10,000 BC" was meh from the boss of a friend of mine (he's the manager of a video rental store). The era of epics (and their wannabes) is finally coming to a screeching halt. As for 2008, so far, I throw my hat in with the rest of the "I'm dying to see Dark Knight" crowd. |

Friend watched 10,000 BC with his wife. They didn't like it. They both walked out of the movie. In his case, the is the second movie he's ever walked out of. |

Just saw Forbidden Kingdom, and though it was a bit on the cheesy side, I did enjoy it a lot. Jackie Chan and Jet Li should definitely do more movies together. Jet Li playing Sun Wukong was great and I never get tired of Jackie Chan's drunken style. Both females in the movie were really easy on the eyes as well, especially the leading lady, Sparrow . I'll definitely be picking up the DVD when it comes out. |

Watched it this morning and loved it. I may disappear while working tomorrow and Sunday to watch parts of it again. My only complaint was that it needed more of Bingbing Li. >_> |

Is that the name of the actress who played the white-haired witch? If so, I agree with you. I was kinda hoping they were going to fight in the desert instead of the whole "we'll let nature kill them off" thing. Loved that scene in the cherry blossom orchard though. Hot ladies + whips is always a good thing. |

Forbidden Kingdom was great. It was a kung-fu movie for kung-fu movie fans, and it did a damn good job of fulfilling the stereotypes without becoming TOO cheesy and self-referential. Jackie and Jet do some of their best work in years in this movie, and as one of my friends points out, this is the happiest I've ever seen him on camera, though with the role he's playing I can't blame him at all. I also gotta give special props to the kid playing the Traveler (they say his name all of twice, so I don't really remember it). Being forced to be the central character in a movie alongside BOTH Jackie Chan and Jet Li means that you're gonna have some massive footsteps to walk in, but he actually managed to pull it off without overshadowing either of them in the end. Everyone just sorta flowed together, and it worked beautifully. I had a few niggling nitpicks with it, but since that's all they were I won't tarnish my praise of this production with something so trivial. If you love Hong Kong kung-fu cinema, you have got to see this movie. End of discussion. |

The one thing I did like about the movie was it was the perfect mix of kung-fu and wuxia for me. |

Yeah, it was. I also liked how they did the Jade Warlord's chi magic: not too over-the-top in terms of pyrotechnics, but with that same ethereal feel to it. My one serious complaint was that the framing sequences in the real world felt very tacked-on and rushed compared to everything else. |

All I gotta say about the real world parts is LOL @ the fucking Bostonian guido. Also, being a former Kung-Fu/Wuxia student myself, it was nostalgic seeing him struggling with Ma Bu (Horse Stance) and Jet Li making fun of him doing it. Back when I was taking classes (more than a decade ago) my Si Fu (sp?) would make us do Ma Bu and Gong Bu for like the first 30 min of class, one time putting a hot cup of tea on a saucer on our knee (during gong bu or bow stance) and we had to make sure we didn't spill any. I remember my legs being so sore after class every day. |
