Dammit, I just noticed Kenichi Sonada was at ACEN when he wasn't announced when I checked months ago. Shit, I would have gone if I had known he was there. >_< |

http://www.kaiyodo.co.jp/revoltech/yamaguchi.html Looks like the Detroit Metal City Revoltechs are official. We'll see if August really will have TTGL, Enki (who will probably have the rest of the Gurren Wing parts), and Laevatien. Yoko and Nia are supposed to get Fraulein Revoltech releases now too. Now I don't feel so bad for missing the Konami MMS Yoko. |

My sentiments exactly, though I have to wonder which ones are better...the Fraulein Revoltechs or Max Factory's Figma figures. |

Lazengann, YF-19, and YF-21 are all available at HLJ now. Gurren Lagann itself is backordered now. |

Gurren Lagann, Eva-00 Rebuild, and Hot Rodimus arrived today. Gurren Lagann is a big Revoltech and takes up most of the box front on its own. Interchangeable heads, the shades can come off with the forehead? of Lagann and can be replaced with an alternate forehead piece, and there is a separate piece to use the shades as a weapon. The cute thing is that it comes with a Core Drill that you can detach the drill part from the key part to use as a weapon for GL. I traded stands with Eva-00 for it though since Eva-00's stand has a dual revoltech joint which is good since the back skirt of GL does not move so it really needs a piece that can maneuver under the skirt and still be able to move. The side skirts have revoltech joints on their own for good movement, I just wish it went for the back skirt too. Eva-00 has double ended knee joints, is easy to pose in general, and comes with a pallet rifle, counter swords, and a gigantic gatling gun that looks fantastic. It also sits pretty high and stands over the rest of my Revoltechs. GL can also hold the counter swords pretty well on its own. Hot Rodimus... popping off one of his fists the peg detached from the hand and stayed in the forearm which took several minutes to wiggle out. >_< The guns are great and they are both quite different but manage to look matching. His alternate head kind of sucks for me. The visor was either not fully painted blue or it was partially painted over. Anyway, has a Revoltech stand so you can make him do diving Inspector Tequila poses. |

Well I got the Gurren Lagann Revoltech in the mail yesterday. I like the thing a lot actually. My only problem with it is that the figure has a pretty poor paint job. There are random lumps on it. I also got the Black Getter in the same order. That thing just managed to piss me off. The left arm kept falling off. When I tried to put it back on, another piece would fall off. When I put that random piece back on, the damn arm would fall off again. The cape also barely ever wants to say on as well. The figure looks nice, but it gave me too much of a headache. |

I took off the ammo clips under the arms myself. I put them on the other night though because I put Hot Rodimus, Black Getter, and Dante all in dual wielding gun poses together. ^_^ The cape is a bitch at times. >< |

Even though I would much rather have a REVOLTECH Arbalest, that Laevatain looks awesome and will most likely be my first REVOLTECH figure. As for that other Gurren Lagann, is it exactly the same as the other one only with all those drills all over the body? |

Looks like it has the drills all over and the drill part is silver instead of gold. I'd like to just steal one of the forearm parts off of that one. >< |

TTGL and Enki are supposed to be 09/15/08 according to wikipedia. |

Lazengann arrived over the weekend. No revoltech joints in the wrists was a shock. Instead they simply attach by a peg. He has a drill that can come out of his wrist so you simply place the piece between the hand and forearm. He has a two-drill piece that attaches between the elbow revoltech joint and the upper arm so you can impale thingies with them. You can change his stomach plate out for one with the teeth. The hole for the stand is placed in the tail actually so he is pretty hard to pose and not be too top or forward heavy to tip the stand for. >< It can be done though... just kind of tricksity. He comes with the Gurren Wing backpack and it has the center wing included. Again, I'm guessing the side wings will come with Enki (who I hope is accesorized out the wazoo... please have attachable extra arms and the helm!). Anyway, the nice thing about the stand is that he can easily tower over the other Revoltechs and can sit in the back and still be seen easily I also got an Eva 01 Rebuild. Looks great with the swords that came with 00 Rebuild. Light on accessories though. Comes with some alternate shoulder binders with one being a scope and communications equipment and another has a prog knife coming out of it. Weapon-wise there is only the progressive knife which comes with a nice spark part you can attach at the tip. Comes with an alternate head with an open mouth. |

The Rebuild movie did not piss me off. Of course I know they are going to fuck it all up again by the time it is over. The things make for neat toys though. Maybe I'll eventually warm up enough to the Evas themselves that I won't curse whenever they show up in an SRW. |

Lazengann is strange. It looks great, but the neck joint is kind of strange and the wrists feel fragile since they are pegs and not a joint (for the drills to be placed there). HLJ shipped my Laevatein. I should be rambling about it in like 9 days. |

Well if the joints are Pegs on some crucial parts it makes it or them in general averagely fragile, If figures are to be posing too often without them breaking due to parts exchange. |
