Oh, I know. But just about everyone who could be considered a villain is dead or captured, and there just isn't much for anyone to do but be like, "Oh, I figured out all that whale crap. It is... *insert long revelatory speech*"... which usually doesn't make for an exciting climax. Even with 3 episodes to do it in, I have absolutely no clue what's going to happen.

Really? I totally didn't even notice the seiyuu connection. He must've had fun playing such different roles at the same time. XD "I'll rapezorz this loli in 6 years... and, er, save Jun? Woo?"

In other news... EPISODE 24 GEEEEEEEEEETTO!

EDIT: Well, the episode is primarily a flashback of the 'event 10 years ago' everyone keeps talking about. Spoilers:

Shin accidentally killed his parents with his persona after Ayane attacked them with her own Persona... after she died during their experiments. Ayane freaked out after that, and caused her persona to explode in a shower of Whale Feathers... which seem to have caused widespread, temporary Apathy Syndrome, causing numerous accidents from drives and even a commercial jet plane. Ryou had Komatsubara block out his memories of the incident, but Ayane returned them to him in the episode. That was a shock. We also get confirmation that Morimoto really did die... Akihiko and Megumi visit her grave during the episode. ;_;

Ayane remains vague, as usual, only saying, "in exchange for that girl, you've attained your future." I assume she means Morimoto, but I'm not sure what she's getting at. And I repeat, I have no idea where this is going. It doesn't seem to be leading to a conflict with Ayane, and even the episode preview shows very little happening outside of more talking. Did we already hit the climax? Because it seems clunky to basically end the plot and then waste 4 episodes saying, "oh yeah, here's all those things we didn't tell you before..."

You know what? This isn't really a complaint over Ainex's release speed, just at the fact that I still have no idea what the last episode is going to be about. I'm grabbing the RAWs. >_<

Just watched 24. I didn't really understand Ayane's line about the future either.

I'm also tempted to dl the last two eps since Ainex is somewhat slow. >>;;

Well, I know where it's going now, after watching 25 RAW. Spoilers:

The episode starts with Shin not feeling so well. Ayane keeps appearing to him, and he seems to be physically hurting from something. Akihiko and Megumi come over, and Akihiko has a serious talk with him. I couldn't understand what it was about.

Meanwhile, Inui is with the rest of the organization he, Ryou and Akihiko work for. They're loading all the people they captured from the Marebito's stronghold, and Inui doesn't seem happy about it. Suddenly, Ghost-Ayane appears above real-Ayane's capsule, and releases her. Ayane's Persona creates a blast of energy that instantly kills anyone who's never had a Persona, and Inui is suddenly the only person left alive. He runs up behind Ayane and plants a tracking device on her back before he Persona sends him flying off to the side.

Shin goes to visit Takuro, and the two have a talk about everything that's been going on. In particular, Takuro seems to talk about he and Megumi, and what happened to them 10 years ago. Shin leaves, and heads to the beach. The camera suddenly shows that he's sitting the same way as the people with Apathy Syndrome... and he loses himself in a hallucination of his family being reunited again in a garden of flowers as Ayane begins rampaging through the city.

A whale feather falls upon the detective's assistant's head in the hospital, and the detective gets call, supposedly from Inui. Akihiko gets one too... but when he tries to get a cab, the driver seems affected by Apathy Syndrome. He tries to run down the street... but is stopped by Ryou, who appears in front of a pillar of rising whale feather. Ryou tells Akihiko that he's in the way, and appears to be ready to attack.

Meanwhile, whale feathers spread throughout the city, and at the beach, Shin and the other Apathy Syndrome cases disappear...

Shit is going to be crazy! I gotta watch the episode 26 RAW now.

EDIT: Grr, the RAW I got cut out a little bit early. >_< Oh well... anyway, the finale wasn't as good as I hoped. I felt like the plot kind of meandered for a bit after the big Marebito showdown, and if they'd managed to cram two of those episodes together in order to add another one onto the end, it would've been perfect. As it is, it went by a little fast. Hell, Inui, Akihiko, the detective, Megumi and Takuro are hardly even in it. >_<

Watched the last 2 too.

It really pissed me off. 25 was okay, but 26 sucked. Let's kill off Ryou again, ignore every chara that isn't a Kanzato, etc. Also, THANKS FOR WASTING FIVE GODDAMN MINUTES SHOWING AN EMPTY HOUSE. >>;; The fight scenes were kinda neat I guess. I really wish Akihiko would have done something awesome in the series though.

I agree that the series became much weaker after the Marebito stuff.

And (spoilers) what the hell was with Eiko randomly possessing the detective's assistant, and then neither of them showing up for the rest of the damn series? >_<
