SFEX+alpha was the 1st, and last real SF game I ever played and owned. (not counting II) Wish I still had it...;_; |

My only concern is Akiman. =/ I like Udon's art and all, but this means we probably won't have Akiman's designs since it's Capcom USA. I'll miss them. >>; |

Well, not to mention that Akiman left Capcom in 2003 or 4. |

Right. Udon is just fine with me, personally. My personal fave SF was Alpha 2, followed by 3rd Strike. I gotta agree with GT; Alpha 3 was a great effort, but in a lot of ways I felt it tried TOO hard, and lost some of it's overall stylishness. I owned EX+@, and it was a perfectly fine game, but I can't say I preferred it over the others. EX for the PS2 just felt off somehow, as well. Now, if they managed to duplicate SC's 8-way run and used a refined version of 3rd Strike's control setup with cel-shaded graphics, I could get behind a 3D Street Fighter, but personally I hope they don't. I want them to make a wholly 2D SF with all the finesse of 3rd Strike, the speed of Melty Blood, and the graphical punch of a modern anime movie. THAT'S my ideal SF right there. |

Ick, no 3D in Street Fighter. >< 2.5D with beautiful 3D fighters and 2D gameplay? That'd be alright. No evil 8 way run, that leads to block buttons, which leads to pain and suffering. >< |

Indeed. 3d models and backgrounds were great. (Liked Ryu's background the best) Though I do recall being able to slightly strafe a bit in EX+Alpha |

Huh, that's interesting, though I guess that gives it a much better chance at being pure 2D. |

I just want a decent godamn D-Pad. I suck with sticks, but the 360's D-Pad is worse for me than an arcade stick. I had better luck doing the spells in Castlevania with the analog stick than I did with the D-Pad. >< |

I'm alright with the controller sticks, and D-pads are fine, But I personally can't stand arcade sticks and buttons. Don't really like to move my hand a foot away to throw a punch. |

Fixed, thanks. It looks... unusual. Is that an actual gameplay shot? >>;; Maybe it'll look better in motion. |

Not bad for now. Seems like they need to tone down "Lil' Ryu" a bit. I really don't want to see it. |

Ryu looks appropriately slightly older. I still prefer his character design in the Alpha games over the straight SF series, but I think this looks nice. Hopefully the character models will still get a little bit of touch up and the background too, but I like where this is going. |

I gotta say, I really prefer this style to the rest of Next Gen (IE lots of brown and light bloom). It looks unique and stylish. |
