Almost as good as Lowe ^_^

Okay, I jsut picked up SF4, I suck so bad at fighting games, and i need to get some semblance of skill up by the weekend, I can preform a quater circle maybe 1 out of every 10 attempts. Any suggestions of some characters I can get away with using that won't require me to use quater circles? Or anyone who is forgiving for people who have no skills, or even someone who is cheese. |

I know what you mean. Better stick with Ken or Ryu. The alternative is charge characters. >.> |

So I'm probably going to sound like an idiot but what are my choices for charge characters, and how does that work? |

Charge characters = People whose moves are performed by holding in one direction for about a second, they quickly hitting the opposite direction plus an attack button. The major disadvantage for Charge characters is that their Super motions are also Charge, which means that for some characters you get the annoying Upwards Charge Super (Hold Down-Back, press Down-Forwards, press Down-Back, press Up-Forwards plus the Attack button). The thing you learn very quickly with Charge characters is to constantly be holding Down-Back so you can throw out any move at a moment's notice. As for your options, well, unless SF has massively changed... Guile - Only has two moves, a projectile and an anti-air flip kick, but along with command moves he has a lot of options and is overall a very strong and popular character. Has an Upper Charge Super. E. Honda - Actually has a variety of move motions, including a button-mash multi-slap, a body torpedo, a falling drop, and a special throw (360 motion). I don't play him all that often so I'm afraid I can't give a fair evaluation. Blanka - Has mostly charge moves centered on "human cannonball"-type attacks, along with a button-mash move that electrifies him. Can be good if you can learn to find the weaknesses in an opponent's offense and punish them by throwing yourself into their faces. Balrog (Mike Bison in Japan) - His moves are almost entirely straight dashing punches (dunno if he retains his leaping headbutt; in past games it was Reversal-only). Never got a whole lot of use out of him myself, but he's not bad. Vega (Balrog in Japan) - A highly agile character whose moves center on wall-jumping. This makes him a little easy to see coming, but if you can pull it off he's a holy nightmare. M. Bison (Vega in Japan) - As a boss character, he's as strong as you'd expect. In addition to a couple of forward-flying moves (a body torpedo and a scissor kick) he's got a couple of leaping moves that you can use to really confuse people. Hope that helps. |

Watching some videos of it, it looks pretty fun, though I still think how the characters look in-game is retarded. |

Saw the DLC for the extra costumes. Not interested for 300pts. Only Sakura's last costume interested me. For Example, I didn't like that it's the same dress but different colors for Chun Li. The only person that didn't completely follow that pattern was Sakura, who's last costume at least looks different than the rest of them. |

Chun Li has one or more charge moves if I'm not mistaken. |

Chun Li is pretty much 75% charge moves, if not 100%. |

Same here. <3 Sakura as you know... it was nice seeing an ACTUAL variation to her costume. It is a cop out though. Looks like they just added collars here and there with some of them, and then trimmed the fabric off most of the rest. And Amuro pretty much has it down pat. I totally forget about Honda's grab though... And yeah, Chun Li is mostly charge. As I've mentioned too, another big disadvantage with the charge characters is when you go online. Any semblence of lag, no matter how small the delay sometimes messes with the charge input. Another disadvantage to it is when an opponent's move goes through you and puts him behind you afterwards - thereby negating the charge. One example is Bison's (we'll stick to the US/English version names) Psycho Crusher using HP. Even if you block the move, he keeps moving through you and ends up on the other side. Another might be if Guile is right beside you and flash kicks right over you - he may sometimes end up behind you. Obviously, plenty of other ways for it to happen, but I think the point is made. |

After about 50 hours of playing, the dpad is messed up. It doesn't really work with diagonals too well, which is very annoying when jumping, or tiger uppercutting and tiger kneeing. =/ When it first came out, some people were complaining about their diagonals not performing properly, but I was happy when mine seemed to not have that problem. Now mine does. =/ |

aww... that sucks to hear... hopefully it's an isolated case. They didn't bother bringing that green controller down here, so this is really a shame. hmm... I'll see what other reports bring in <_< but definitely less consideration for those pads now. |

Definitely play on 1 round for arcade mode. I finished it with Gen tonight. I just jumped in and beat the hell out of him whenever he punched or sonic boomed. Just jumping in jamming on fierce works surprisingly well for 13 hit combos actually. o_O; Finishing with Dhalsim was a pain. Still got E. Honda, Blanka, Balrog, Vega, Rufus, and El Fuerte to go. >< |
