"I'll be needing a new passport, ID, everything. I can't use- I mean, Rao can't use his alias anymore. We'll need at least 2 sets."

Ryuhou stared at this "Knight" person hard. This feels familiar. I feel like I've met him somewhere before. All this talk of him insisting that he was Knight Lancelot was... fishy.

"All right I guess. I think we can do that. After this ramen stop, I'll take you over to Verineer. They could help out with your situation. But I want to ask you something in private. Nimbus stay over there okay? We're going outside for a second okay?"

Ryuhou beckoned "Knight" to come outside with him. Once they were outside, Ryuhou turned and whispered, "I know you're really Rao. What exactly happened at the police station?"

"Bright as a tree, as always. From here onwards, I'm Knight. No more, no less. 'Rao', well, 'Rao' is now under investigation by something a lot larger than the police. Possibly the national defense force. It also appears their Rider network and its possible database is a lot more complicated than I can begin to handle on a bit-by-bit basis. Also... don't go around mentioning Rao's name. It can earn you a quick trip to the slammer and interrogation. Though I suppose your Rider form can get out quick, but... getting the higher-ups behind the police to come after you is a bad, bad idea." Knight continued, "It is also why I need state of the art equipment to break into their network. If I can get my hands on the Rider data, there ought to be data on the kaijin that had to do with the skyscraper collapse, and the tunnel incident. There's a lot more to this than I want to admit to, but I'll be needing the help."

Ryuhou quietly pondered this turn of events. "I suppose I can help you out with this. But on only one condition. You have to listen to me and you can't just go and do things that arent very... advisiable. We have to actually work as a team. No foolish errands, no trips that ends up in a raid by bats, and no ego trips. Deal? Now lets go back in and get the ramen. You're paying arent you?"

"Well, I threw up and passed out that night, touch some food poisioning I suspect. Mao was merely helping me by offering to wash my clothes. I was going to pu someting else on," he said quickly. "But then you walked in Ms. Ranfan."

The story made more sense than she wanted to admit. She stewed for a moment, before spitting him with one last glare. "If I hear any conflicting reports, sir, I will hunt you down. Just giving you fair warning." Then her shoulders sagged, as if she suddenly felt years older. Her sister always had this effect on her.

"So, mister Ryuji, what exactly did you come here for?"

"I di- Rao didn't see you come up with better ideas now, did he? Otherwise he wouldn't have had to set up sonic bat traps. His reasoning was sound though." Shrugging, Knight continued, "We work as a team until there is no need for it. This is a mutually independent relationship. I help you kill aliens, you help me find kaijin. Nimbus helps me kill kaijin, I help him massacre his. We don't start interfering, just give help as third party. I don't think you'll want to be named as part of my 'team' when the defense force comes raiding for me. Not unless you plan to die with me."

"I'll pay for the ramen, cheapskate." He added as he turned back. "But next time Nimbus tries to rip me off, I'll rip him a new one."

"That does sound very reasonable. We have to work smarter and more discreetly. We're already in trouble from that skyscraper thing, so we cant be caught or traced back to Vernieer."

"Haha! I'd love to see that! So what are you ordering, Ra-I mean Knight?"

"I concur. If anything, I suspect the police guys at the construction site already knows Verineer is involved from the drones. Of course, this doesn't mean he's working with that woman. Even branches inside the police has it's own rivalries..." Knight smiled. "We can use that."

"Anyway. Tonkatsu, tonkatsu. Fried, oily pork on a tub of steaming noodles. What gets better?" Knight sat down again, patted his companions on the shoulders and dug in as soon as the bowl touched the table. It was only going to be harder from here on.

"You have a point there. After this, lets go to Verineer, they should have new information about the subway incident." Ryuhou mused as he looked at the chef. "Hey chef! I'll have beef ramen with shrimp!"

Ran picked up the Metal, holding it before her face. "So," she said, "I know I'm not alone in this, with all the ones that showed up at the tower..."

There are three others like me, the metal responded. But none of them were at the tower.

"Hm," ran muttered. "A Mystery, then..."

"Yo disciple, I hope I haven't been keeping you. I had something to take care of really quick."

Nodding a bit, he sat up straight in his seat. Putting his knife away, he put down what was the piece of wood on the table. It was now a near-perfect wood scupture of Motoko. He had a very good eye, his teacher had told him. Not to mention, his hand-eye coordination was an important factor in his ability to counter the enemy or choose his next move. Despite his shortcomings in intelligence, after he was able to get the movements down into muscle memory, he could tangle with the best.

"No, its alright. It gave me some time to practice a bit. Do you have a broom? I kind of left a bit of wood shavings."

"If that is what you insist, Hiro. I'll just get changed, I would assume that me wearing your clothes would be a bit inappropriate."

"Alright," Hiro answered as he pulled on a long coat, "I'll be waiting outside."

He went to the front door and called back before stepping outside.

"I left a coat for you by the door if you need one."

Outside, he lifted his leg over his bike and started it up. In the cold months, he always wished he'd bought a car.

"Ngn...!"

There was something...

"Where? ...I can't tell."

Not amused.

"No, I've got it." Motoko smiled when she saw the little statue of her. "And that's very nice, Officer. I think I'll keep it on my desk."

Grabbing a broom, she began sweeping things up. "Looks like today's going to be a busy day, I can feel it."

"What the hell do you suppose that thing is?!" Officer Yagami asked his patrol partner as their cruiser skidded to a halt in front of the beast.

"Not human. Take the shotgun and stay behind cover." The superior ranked officer replied as he got out of the car and aimed his pistol at the monster ripping up the street.

Getting out of the police car, Yagami popped open the trunk, grabbed a shotgun, and then moved behind another abandoned vehicle to take aim at the weapon.

As more squad cars arrived, Yagami's patrol partner called out to the monster. "Put your hands up, now!"

Enough lazing around, the metal said, after a while. There are disturbing currents on the wind...

"Do I have to?" Ran asked, opening her eyes.

Yes.

"Fine." The girl grabbed the metal, and went over to the staircase that led up to the roof...

In a flash of light, Lee donned green and black armor and a helmet that was reminiscent of a cricket. "W-what just happened?"

"It's a henshin belt," Reika said, "it allows the wearer to don the armor that the belt contains, which in the case is Ketto."

"Don't worry, this is mainly a prototype that will be used for future armors. You probably won't be asked to fight for real, and we'll come up with a new job for you once this task is complete."

"Really? That sounds great! What are we going to be doing today?"

Getting up, he brushed off his legs to get any wood shavings that were on them off.

Meeting Hiro outside, Jahnavi slid on the jacket that he left for her. A bit taken aback by the motorcycle, she was a little unnerved, having never ridden one before. She has seen them many times before, but it never crossed her mind that she'd ever be on one. Looking at it a bit curiously, she wondered if it was going to be safe to use.

Getting on the backseat, Jahnavi then wrapped her arms tightly around Hiro's waist to secure herself; she had this extreme fear of falling off.

"Ready when you are," She said

"Ready when you are."

When Jah got onto the bike, he could feel her wrap around him tightly. He could tell she was uneasy. She really had nothing to worry about. He did, afterall, do all his own stunts.

"Hmm..."

"Don't worry," he said as he revved the engine, "I don't fall off... much."

With that, Hiro popped the front tire up and sped off.

"Don't worry, I don't far off... much."

"That does not sound very comforting..." She commented, tensing up a little bit as she heard the engine rev up.

Swallowing a bit nervously as she she began to feel the bike move, she grit down tightly on her teeth. It was winter, and she was afraid of slippery roads. Plus the bike didn't seem too steady to her, but then again, what did she know about motorcycles?

"Aiieee!" She yelped sharply when the bike began to gain speed. Not only did her grip get tighter, but she rested her head in between his shoulder blades and clung there.

I hate bikes, she admitted internally. To be honest and truthful, motorcycles was a very big fear for her back home.

"Put your hands up, now!"

The thing turned around slowly, hearing something, but not understanding exactly what it was. But it was those same things that chased after it last night! The same covers, same flashing lights, and those objects in their hands?

And that meant, they were trouble. And trouble was to be taken care of until it was no longer anymore trouble. Tensing up, the beast walked slowly towards the offending persons, it's long tonuge lashing around it's "mouth"

"Just unfasten the belt if you want it to power down." Reika said, before presenting him with a folder.

"These are the details of your training. Read over them and be ready to start on them tomorrow."

"You wanted to see me sir?" Shuji said, as he approached the van garage.

"Date," Houji said, "There was a mysterious derailing accident this morning in the subway."

"And that means what?" Shuji was a bit puzzled why he was being told this.

"Something caused the accident, survived, and apparently abducted the conductor." Houji reached into his coat and pulled out an envelope.

"This is a copy of your orders." He handed them to Shuji.

"And my orders are?" Shuji said, examining the envelope.

"To discover the cause of it, and should it turn out like the last set of mysterious disapperances, kill it."

"You mean, you want me to use Inago in battle?" Shuji's surprise was evident.

"Yes, the Board cleared Inago for live combat. You will not travel by van, but rather by a motorcycle, as we do not wish the loss of extra members." Houji turned and walked on past the van garage and into another one, which contained several motorcycles.

Shuji followed and admired some of the bikes.

"This," Houji said, placing his hand on a metallic blue motorcycle. "is the bike you'll use."

"Wow, that is a real nice bike." Shuji admired the bike.

"Do you have the Inago HUB?" Houji said, to keep his underling from going too far in fawning over the bike.

"Sure." He pulled the Henshin Unit from his pocket, then pulled back the sleeve on his left arm to show that he was wearing the Brace.

"Good, now get out there and find out what really happened." Houji handed him the key.

Shuji, having donned a helmet, mounted the bike, started it up, before being guided to the exit by Houji.

"I'm going." Shuji speed out the exit, heading towards the main body of subways.

Jah was holding on tighter than before. Hiro chuckled internally. He felt a little mean, but riding was something he had the utmost confidence in and the skill to back it up.

"Did I mention I'm also a stuntman?" he called back.

It was a while before they got into town. Hiro toned the ride down considerably as they went. He just wanted to show off a little. Unfortunately, they were now stuck in a traffic jam.

"Oi..."

"Did I mention I'm also a stuntman?"

"No, you failed to mention that!" Jahnavi yelped sharply as she tightly shut her eyes, her voice was slightly muffled a bit due to her being so close to his jacket.

Despite Jahnavi's usually cold, and harden exterior, there was one thing that could break it: A bike ride. Worst still, she had no helmet, which didn't ease her fears in the very bit.

"Oi..."

Letting out a soft sigh of relief as the bike slowed down, Jahnavi loosened her grip and sat up straight. Running a hand through her hair, she took deep breathes as she felt and heard her heartbeat pound loudly in her chest.

"Thank you, Shiva..." she prayed softly, taking another deep breath to calm down

"Thank you, Shiva..."

"Heh..." he sighed to himself.

Traffic was still at a stand-still. No one was moving. They waited... and waited... and waited... until people began running past.

"Uh..."

"I can feel it..."

"Jah..." he said as he got off the bike, "stay with the bike. I'll be right back."

He began jogging past the cars.
