"Er... does she think I'm using a bad pick up line?"

Hiro felt a little embarassed, but maybe that's not what it was. She really didn't even look like she understood him. Maybe she was a tourist or just didn't know the language, she did look like she was from somewhere else afterall.

"Maybe she's from America? Either way, who doesn't know English nowadays?"

He decided to try again in English,

>"I said, 'lovely evening, isn't it?'"<

"Ah..." Jahnavi let out softly, nodding her head a bit, now understanding the young man in front of her. She thought herself lucky that she found someone who speaks a language she can understand. Jahnavi herself only knew two languages: Hindi and English, and since she's only spoken Hindi back home, her best bet to get her around anywhere was her second language.

"Yes," she said softly with a faint British accent. "Indeed it is. Very nice."

"Yes, Indeed it is. Very nice."

Hiro could hear the slight accent in her voice. He'd be lying to himself if he said it didn't sound cute. He'd also be lying if he sad he didn't feel slightly awkward. He wasn't too great at speaking to people he didn't know, but as Ichiro Tsurugi, he had to be.

"You don't seem to be from around here," he said innocently, "Where are you from?"

"How many times is this now?"

"Huh... Huh... Well everything seems to be over for the most of it... I better hurry and get back to the van. Jake and Mike are probably waiting for me to get back by now. Once we get back to JSSDF headquarters, report to the Sarge, and then report to bed." Aj said, as he got up and began to run back towards the parking lot that had their van.

"Eventually, we'll cross paths once again... By then, I should be a bit stronger... In the meantime, I should research these... 'Kaijin' and 'Gaijin' sometime. I'd attempt to get data on the new Riders as well, but i'll respect their privacy... I only wish I could be a Rider. Then I could help defend the city as well!" he spoke with fire in his voice, as he made a pose, and held his shotgun into the air.

"The loyal gun of the military! Kamen Rider... Uhhh... Damn, I can't think of a name... Bad-ass moment failed. Well I better hurry on." he said, as he ran down the alleyway. On the other end, he popped up into the parking lot, where Jake pressed the horn for the van. Running towards it, Aj leapt inside, before he closed the door behind him. he stored his SPAS-12 and the Assault Rifle on the small weapons rack, before taking a seat at the wheel.

"We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow..." he said, as he pulled out his cellphone and called the headquarters. After telling them about his situation, they confirmed they were going to call in a tow truck to bring them back to base safe and sound. Once they got back, though, they were going to have to do quite a bit of explaining...

Is this guy with THEM? Jahnavi wondered to herself as she looked at him. If he is, then I'll have no choice...but if he isn't, well...just keep your answers vague.

Deep down inside, Jahnavi felt a little awkward, this being the first human contact she's had in months that wasn't totally confrontational. Yet. Still, she kept her guard up and chose her words carefully. She didn't want to tell him what he didn't need to know.

"You don't seem to be from around here, Where are you from?"

"India," She answered simply, though not giving anything more specific than that. "I just...arrived this evening." She finished, telling somewhat of a half-truth.

"India. I just...arrived this evening."

"Wow, India?"

Hiro had never been there but had always wanted to check it out. Travelling the world was one of his goals.

"Come to see the sights?" he continued.

"Um...." Jahnavi blinked a bit, somewhat taken aback by this question. She wasn't prepared for someone to ask her that, so she tried to think up of a quick lie.

"No, not really." She said calmly, taking a deep breath. "I actually came here by mistake. I was supposed to go back home, and I somehow took the wrong plane."

"I'm home!" Motoko announced as she opened the door. Of course, silence greeted her, the curse of being single. "..."

Letting out a sigh, she walked in and kicked the door closed behind her. "Maybe I'll get a cat or something." She muttered to herself as she turned on the flourescent light that illuminated the small kitchen and living/bedroom combination that made up the almost the entirety of her apartment.

"You have five new messages."

Motoko lifted her finger off the button of the answering machine as she opened the cabinet and picked out a large cup of instant noodles.

"Motoko-chan, it's your mother. You haven't spoken to me in days, next time you're not saving the world we should get together. Call me back when you want to meet, bye!"

Smiling, Motoko filled the cup and popped it into the microwave. Her mother was right, they would have to meet at some point.

>"Ears open, Sergeant! This is your father!"<

By pure reflex, Motoko snapped into salute, and the chuckled when she realized it was the answeringcmachine.

>"Your mother says you've been AWOL, don't make me have to send some MPs up there to look for you."<

Motoko smiled. "Sheesh, I'm fine Dad." She said to herself.

>"If you are fine, don't be a stranger. Fly down to Okinawa and see your Commanding Officer, bring your mother too. Well, time is short, dismissed Sergeant."<

Saluting, Motoko hit the save button before the beep, she loved her father's messages. "Some vacation time in Okinawa doesn't sound too shabby..."

The next too messages were very short, as though the person who left them had hung up as soon as they heard them. The third one was longer...but the only sound coming from it was a steady panting from the other end of the line.

"Message deleted."

Motoko sighed. "Pervert..." She muttered, that was the sixteenth message of its kind she had recieved.

The ding of the microwave alerted Mototko, who quickly drew out the cup of noodles and grabbed up a pair of chopsticks. Walking into the living room, she stripped down to her bra and panties, and then sat down in the chair next to her bed and turned on the TV.

"Cup ramen, late night romantic comedy, a quick shower, and then bed..." She said to herself as she began slurping down some noodles. "Today was a busy day."

Getting out of the cage wasn't difficult. It just needed to be completely destroyed because for the life of him, Rao couldn't find the deactivate switch. "Sleep in the dojo if you want, I'm going out for a little."

With that, he started his bike and veered into the highway that would lead him back to Shinjuku. Tuning into the police channels, he was in for a shock. A building had collapsed in the middle of their entrapment. Damn! This has to do with the manbat case, I know it. But who- Ryuhou? No. He said he was going home. That means the other Rider I saw some nights ago. To bring down a building... does that fool know no sense? No... he might have been working with someone else. Damn damn damn! It would have been an excellent chance to see how many Riders there are... no matter, if they're active, I'll find them.

Stopping some distance from the collapsed building, he watched some of the lingering participants scatter. Too late, I guess... defense force, police... they're all here. No Verineer signs. So Ryuhou didn't come. Cursing, Rao rode his bike to the park where he had met the other two. The giant rock was still there, glistening with a cold, sharp light reflected off its surface.

He was tempted to sit on it, but instead, Rao chose a bench that looked more comfortable. As he laid his head back, he heard snippets of conversation behind him. It just happened to be the movie star in disguise [does he really think glasses help?], chatting up some girl. They spoke in English, but he could tell neither of them were exactly comfortable with the language. Ah, youth.

"Wow, that sucks... I hope everything's alright."

Hiro shook his head. That had happened to him on a trip to America and had left him wandering around looking for a place to stay. It was quite unpleasant.

"I hate it when that happens. I ended up in Chile when I was trying to go to America. The people were nice but... it wasn't exactly fun times."

"I'm not being very Tsurugi-like am I?" He silently thought to himself as he felt another impulse, "Someone's here... Not an enemy I think but... Maybe I should be careful."

Rao knew it was a mistake to stay near this place. The couple had taken notice of him, probably. If he could remain quiet and pretend he was just sleeping, perhaps he could keep listening... it was risky, but there was always a chance that they hit a topic that lent information as to what happened.

Much later, the tow truck had come along to collect their van, bringing the trio of soldiers back to JSSDF headquarters. The 3 soldiers knew they were going to have to explain alot when they got back. Everything from how they had to fight mutated bats, to the appearance of new Riders, based around his favorite television hero.

"Huh... Let's our report ready, guys." Aj said, as they began to near the headquarters. The towtruck pulled the van into the garage that kept the other military vehicles they contained. The tow truck left the van in one of the parking spaces, while other soldiers of the JSSDF rushed over to repair it. Stepping out of the van, Jake and Mike rubbed their heads, while Aj came out fixing his overcoat. All 3 then proceeded towards the exit.

"Ok guys... Here goes nothing..." Aj said, as they exitted the garage area, and proceeded to go searging for the Sergeant.

Another lazy day had hit Lee like a ton of bricks. "It's so boring today." He said, strolling through the park with his hands in his pockets. Craining his head back, Lee gazed at the sky, counting the clouds quietly. He strayed off the path as he did so and not a few moment later, crashed to the ground.

"Ow..." Lee muttered, looking back to see what he tripped over. "W-who are you?"

Standing outside of the Colonel's room, Aj's Sergeant stood there at the door, waiting for his 3 soldiers to finish their telling the Colonel about the report. To him, their story was nothing short of crazy and the result of a drinking day gone horribly wrong. However, he reserved final judgement for the Colonel... Inside of the room, the 3 looked slightly nervous as they gave their report to the head honcho... So far, the Colonel didn't look so surprised.

---

"... That's it for the report, Colonel. We couldn't find the suspect we were trailing, but we did manage to find out something much more unnatural. Apparently, there was a horde of mutated bats, and these people in costumes were fighting them. Whatever they were, they had superior weapons, technology, and skills compared to us. I believe they're based off of... Kamen Rider." Aj said. Obviously, he knew he was sounding pretty ludicrous right now, but he figured the truth was better than nothing.

"based on what you just said to me... I don't think the man you 3 were following was the suspect. Rather, those Kaijin you fought were most likely the real culprits. No doubt, the missing humans are long gone, but at least this threat is over for now." the Colonel spoke back... Leaving Aj and his 2 friends with their mouths hanging open. They weren't expecting that kind of reaction from their boss... Nor were they especting him to know about them.

"How long have you known about these 'Kaijin', and when were you going to tell us about them? What the hell is a Kaijin anyway, and do we have any weapons that can defeat them?" Aj asked, as he stared at the Colonel. The man got up from his seat, while Aj, Jake, and Mike all took a step back. The man turned to the window and looked out of it, staring at the bustling city of Tokyo. Seconds later, he turned to face them.

"I've known about these 'Kaijin' for a long time... Military and peacekeeping organizations tend to cover them up any way possible. I felt you soldiers didn't need to know about them because your job involves you to keep the peace against certain threats. Fighting monsters far beyond our power isn't listed in your job description. I like to keep information on a 'need-to-know' basis." he spoke, keeping his hands behind his back.

"'Kaijin' is basically a monster. When they usually appear, it means trouble, so we try our damndest to capture or destroy them, before they can further disrupt the peace. As for us possessing weapons to defeat them... It's questionable, at this point. So far, conventional weapons don't have much of an effect against them. We've lost many soldiers to them in the past, which is why I chose to cover them up now." he continued, now stepping towards Aj, Jake, and Mike.

"Now that you 3 know about them, i'm going to ask that you keep quiet about all we've talked about today. Don't ever reveal this information to the news media, or there may be a large crisis at hand. Meanwhile, we will continue to investigate here. Since you've confirmed there to be 'Kamen Riders', the threat of Kaijin may not be as great as I had previously anticipated." he spoke, as he turned and walked back to his desk, taking a seat.

"Remember what we talked about this day, and make sure none of it leaves this room. Dismissed!" he yelled, to which Aj, Jake, and Mike saluted the Colonel. Turning, they all exitted the room in single file. Getting up from his seat, the Sergeant looked at the 3 soldiers, his arms crossed. He didn't look too happy with them having gone out on their own to try to attain information on the kidnapping case. At that moment, he chose to slug the 3 of them.

"Tch... You 3 in the future need to realize that you're military men, not police officers. You can't go around seeking out mysteries to solve. Now get back to your cabins and get some rest. Tomorrow, you have a rough day of training ahead of you." the Sergeant spoke. He had no idea what was said within the room, but he wasn't going to let it stop him from training them... And simultaneously punishing them.

"Tch... We know of this, yet can't do anything about it... This sucks... Come on, let's get back to the cabin." he said, as they all walked away, rubbing their jaws.

"Beep! Beep!" Ryuhou awoke to the sound of his wrist device going off. And I was having a good sleep!

"Yes, this is Ryuhou here. Mmmm. You want me to come up to headquarters to check on this suspicious situation at the tower? No problem, I'll come up as soon as possible."

Ryuhou turned off the wrist device, called a cab and rode over to headquarters.

--A Short time later--

"Whats the situation on the collapsed situation? It was still there last night when I drove by it on the way to the mountains! How could it have collapsed overnight? I want you to investiage it as soon as possible! And do it discreetly!"

Ryhou sighed as he left headquarters, being hungry again. He walked over to his favorite ramen place. "The usual! Oh Ryuji paid for my bowls last time? Oh, sorry about that. I had an emergency to handle. I'll give my thanks to him the next time I see him!"

Exiting the shower wrapped in a towel, Motoko dried her hair off as she dropped down onto her bed. The News was on the television, the reporters covering the disastrous collapse of the building she had left.

"They're calling it a structural failure..." Motoko sighed. "Technically that's the truth but..."

She recalled the non-chalant behavior of that Rider, and clenched her fist. "That Jackass..."

Tossing the hair-drying towel aside, she laid back on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. Her thoughts were growing more troubled by the moment, new Riders with devastating abilities, and monsters...monsters she had never seen before outside of those goofy Tokusatsus.

Lifting up her arm, she looked at the watch on her wrist. "Now the thoughts aren't going to leave me, even now the adrenaline rush from fighting as Mustang is still there. I just want to go out there and..."

The face of the watch seemed to glitter, as if to entice her. "...And do it all again." She smiled.

Sitting up, she picked up her schedule and looked at it. "I haven't called-in in ages, if I take the day off tomorrow...I'm sure I'd get away with it."

Quickly, she set down the schedule and picked up her cellphone. Dialing a number, she was answered by a woman.

"Hello, Tokyo Metro Police."

"Yeah, it's Motorola." She replied. "Can you tell the chief I'm taking the day off tomorrow?"

"T-tomorrow!? Motoko I...ugh...whatever you have planned for tonight, don't get too drunk."

"I promise. Who knows, I might swing by and bring you something." Motoko said as she removed the towel she wore around her and went to grab some clothes.

"Call me before you do so I can tell you what I want, okay?"

Motoko quickly pulled on her undergarments and then went for a pair of loose slacks. "Sure thing. Talk to you later."

Minutes later, Motoko stepped out into the Tokyo night, zipping up a light jacket as she left the stoop of the apartment building.

Back in the soldier's room, Aj changes to some more generic clothes after his long say. Having finished showering not too long ago, he stretched. He felt like there was other things he could do. However, Jake and Mike were pretty tired from their experience that day, and chose to simply go to bed early in their respectful rooms. Aj, on the other hand, still felt energetic.

"Ehh... Maybe a little walk to the pizza shop will do me some good... Or maybe i'll go look at those motorcycles I wanted." he said, as he grabbed his black overcoat and put it on, before leaving the small building. Looking around, he headed down the street to go to the pizza shop. From there, the auto motors wasn't too far off, so he could eat and then go take a look.

Forever "That Guy"

Ranfan hadn't really been of mind to respond to Mao's departure. She had, rather, felt a burning need to go somewhere. It was a foreign sensation, one she was not used to feeling. She knew the reason for it though - Raijin had a reason to contact her, and did so by implanting a destination and drive in her mind. She had a vague concept of when, but no clue why. All she knew was the little snippets of what Raijin forced her mind to realize - he had sensed the disturbances caused by certain creatures. After pondering, he had even managed to figure out where they were operating from. And tonight was the time to strike.

And so she had been ordered to go.

So when she showed up to watch that...chaos...she had been horrified. The burning in her mind was intense, ordering her to join the fray. She couldn't. It wasn't any inability to - she had, on an afterthought, taken her ofuda and kukri with her. That wasn't the problem. No, it had to do with the fact that she was shaking. She knew that her preparations had been for this day, that her fight against evil was to start here and now.

She wasn't ready for it.

All she really felt was an agonizing pain in her skull as she ran as fast as she could from that scene. It was chaos, hell, everything that she was supposed to fight against, and she couldn't even bring herself to transform. Faster and faster she drove herself, tripping several times, scraping up her knees and rubbing her hands virtually raw.

In that time, the burning, throbbing sensation in her head got worse and worse, ordering her to turn around. This was, after all, the reason Raijin had even granted her the power to transform. And for her to forsake her duties because of such a base instinct as fear...well, it didn't suit Raijin at all to simply watch.

He would not take away her power yet, but her failure was noted...and punished.

Kneeling on the ground just inside the gates of her family's estate, she screamed wordlessly for some time - she had no idea when the pain started and when it subsided. All she knew is that eventually the burning pain ended, and she could finally, shakily, force herself up onto her feet and manage to stumble into her room and collapse on the floor.

This is the price you pay for betraying my trust once. Raijin had not communicated using words, but the sensations had corresponded with what Raijin had desired to communicate. I will not accept such betrayal again.

Walking through the streets of Tokyo, Motoko smiled as she passed the bright lights of stores, night clubs, and bars. Even at night her city was alive, ripe with activity and excitement. Sure, there were other cities that were just like Tokyo--and she had been to them--but there just wasn't anything quite like her Tokyo.

"I love this town." She said to herself, when she overheard some very poor singing from a nearby karaoke bar.

As she continued along, she passed three men who were smoking outside of a bar. She paid them no mind, but they no doubt noticed her. Glancing to each other, the men glanced at each other and then discarded their cigarettes as they turned and began walking after her.

'Huh... I kinda expected him to resist,' she thought, appraising Ryuji's bare chest with a little grin.

"Yes, your pants too. I'm not letting you go home with barf on your clothes, OK?" Mao said pointly, crossing her arms and tapping a finger.

"And no, I'm not going to tell you to take off your undies," she said, rolling her eyes. Seeing that Ryu wasn't all too eager to comply, she walked over and reached out for his pants, kneeling to yank them down out of his grip. In her annoyance she didn't quite notice how... scandalous the two would look if anyone walked in.

Rounding a corner, Motoko glanced over her shoulder briefly when she eyed the three men she had noticed following her for the past while. Deciding to play it cool, she headed over toward the nearest open place--a ramen shop.

"I just had some earlier, but then instant stuff has nothing on the real deal!" Ducking under the curtains, she sat down at the end of the counter.

"Soy ramen please, nothing fancy." She said to the cook, who quickly went to work on her order.

Next to her, two of the men who had been following her also sat down. She immediately frowned...Americans, just like her.

"Oh God...oh God...oh God..." She thought to herself.
