Seeing the man-bat swoop around towards it's elusive target, a shadow lept silently out from a hole several stories up, and plummeted towards the loathsome beast. Seconds later, the monster found itself slamming into the side of the skyscraper as a white-hot pain erupted in it's side, before spreading out to envelop the creature.

Before it even had time to scream, the man-bat fell away, cut neatly in half. However, the shadow that had seemingly done the deed had vanished without a trace.

"...ninja?" Hiro wondered as he caught the sight of a bat falling in half out of the corner of his eye.

There were more pressing matters, however, as multiple bats were practically staring him in the face. Continuing his charge, he concentrated his will into his sword. He brought the sword up as it began to radiate brilliant light.

"RIDER SLASH!"

In a flash, he emerged from the other side as two bats fell in half in a similar manner to the other. The victory was short lived as Hiro found himself being launched forward by an impact from behind.

"In there?"

I believe so.

"It took you long enough to find it..."

It's the wind...

"Oh son of a..." Mikael swore as his Dyna roared angrily down the road. He had figured it out, he had seen the pattern. He saw that every attack had been within a certain radius of a central point.

So why, oh WHY, did he think it had been a good idea to ride out that radius for two hours straight looking for clues when he should have been checking out the central point?!

"Stupid construction site!" Mikael cried as his bike smashed through the fencing and then came to a skidding halt near the base of the site.

"Henshin!" Mikael held out his right fist and it glowed every so slightly before he was suddenly in his dark blue and black combat armor.

Looking up at the central column, Krieger leapt off his bike and onto the wall, digging his hands into the thick concrete slab and then scaling the side of the smooth, featureless structure. When he reached the roof, he began performing a series of hand movements.

"One. Two. Three." As he simultaneously began to touch points on his shoulder, elbow, and forearm.

"Double Rider Impact." Krieger said plainly as he briefly touched his knuckles together before smashing his fists into the concrete roof at the same time.

Krieger fell through the roof in a hail of concrete and dust, the explosion billlowing inward and sending a rain of powder down on all those within the building.

Kireger landed on the stinking grate and looked around, and a slight noise alerted him to the vertically hanging presence of six sets of eyes in a corner, all viewing him with fear in his eyes. The mask's vision enhancement showed him what he needed to see. Six man-bats, scarred, clawed, bleeding and abused, cowering in a corner. Underneath them all were crates of fruit, only a few meager remnants remained of their food. Apparently, fruit man-bats were ineffective combatants.

"Go, get out of here. Hide someplace nearby..." Krieger said after only a moment. "I'll take care of you after that."

The six man-bats hesitated, then slowly creeped towards the hole in the roof before fluttering away into the night.

Then Krieger turned his attention to the stairwell, striding down it purposefully, he then tore out the stairs leading to the upper section and then drew his handgun. With a few shots he caused enough structural damage to the top floor grate that it came crashing down on the grate he stood on mere moments after he leapt onto the safety of the stairwell leading down.

Now, the upper level of the tower had been sealed off.

Ryuhou sighed in expersation. All of the leads they had checked up had turned out to be false or misleading. "Look, I dont think this is going to work. Maybe we should just split up and purse our own leads on our own. But we should keep in touch in case one of us gets a solid lead or encounter something... What do you think? Besides we attract too much attention being together. We have to be discreet. That goes for you, Nimbus too."

Not amused.

Motoko stepped back, surprised when she saw the man-bat fall in half. She realized, right away, that she was on VERY dangerous ground.

"To hell with this!" She said as she put away her sidearm. Before she could do anything else, she heard a pair of shrieks from above and looked up. Two more bats were sweeping toward her, it was time to go.

Turning around, she booked it for the stairs as fast as she could, reaching the steps she ran up them before coming to a stop at the stairwell's midpoint. Both creatures were now at the bottom of the stairwell, trying to muscle past each other to reach her.

"I guess the steps are as good a place as any..." She muttered when she realized she had no eye-witnesses. "I hope this can go through the interference."

Getting up, she looked at the bats with a stolid stare before pulling back her right sleeve and revealing a black-banded wrist watch with a white face. "Initiate JAMPIP SatCom link, Sergeant Motoko Rolland."

"SatCom Link Established." A mechanical voice answered Motoko as she clenched her fist. "Systems operational, clearance granted."

She cracked her knuckles and then opened her hand as the watch's face and her fingernails began to glow.

"Henshin."

The watch emitted a blinding flash toward the bats, causing them to break into howls. Throwing her arms out. Motoko closed her eyes as her police uniform broke apart, starting at the sleeves and then working down until nothing was left. From there, a skin-tight materal swept across her body, covering her from head-to-toe in white. When the material reached her hair, her ponytail and bangs stiffened like blades.

When the bodysuit was completed, criss-crossing lines ran down the fabric, mapping out the sections of the armor. Torso, legs, feet, arms, hands, and finally the face. Over the maps, the black and white armor appeared, crawling up Motoko's body before terminating as a visored helmet. From two holes at the crown two red antennas, her bangs, stood bent half way. At the back of her head, her v-shaped ponytail rose up and then bent down and inwards, the two tails crossing each other.

Lowering her arms, the transformed Rider looked up at the recovering bats.

"Kamen Rider Mustang...transformation complete. Approximate transformation time 3.2 seconds. Diagnostic check complete, clearance for combat granted."

Reaching behind her back, she grabbed a large, laser-sight equipped pistol and aimed it for the face of one of the bats. "Single shot."

"Select-fire mode, Single Round."

"Rider Dead-Eye." She growled before firing a single round that plowed into the bat's face and sent it hurtling backward, the fragments of its skull and its contents splattering across the ceiling, wall, and its partner--which was now free to throw itself up the stairs at her.

Twirling the pistol, she reholstered the weapon before leaping up to the wall behind her. Jumping from the wall to the one to her left, she let the bat smash into the wall before jumping to the wall seperating the flights of stairs. Facing the disoriented beast, she narrowed her eyes behind her mask.

"Rider Kick."

Kicking off the wall, she spun around and kicked the bat creature in the back of the head, punching a hole in the wall in front of it. As the beast went limp, Motoko smirked and held up the V-sign.

"Justice has been served." She said before turning and heading up the stairs. Now that she had her face on, it was time to join the dance.

She had just rounded the stairwell on the 14th floor, she had just begun running up the stairs when there was a loud boom and the floor below her buckled. "Damn it!" She thought as dust filled the stairwell. Undaunted by the clouds, she continued on to the 15th floor.

While he was crouching on the I-beam watching Aj, Zhongfu suddenly noticed a large disturbance coming from one of the beams. Dust and noise had come from one of the upper levels...

Looking down, he saw the opening of that support beam, and jumping down towards it, landed and ran into the hollow structure. Looking up, he saw a flight of stairs. Leaping tens of steps in one leap, he continued up the stairs with a steady pace, breathing steadily as he dashed the stairs using the amazing movement technique of the Complete Perfection School, making near-inaudable taps each time his feet touched the ground.

Wind howled in the block, as a silvery streak wound its way up the inside of the tower, sometimes on the stairs, sometimes on the walls.

Stopping near the top, in the middle of a furball, Rider Gale looked left and right briefly, sizing up the situations.

"Okay... Couple possible-allies, lots of monsters... This could be a lot better..."

I'm sorry, I didn't know the details...

"Very well, then. Rider Gale is ready."

The mirror never lies
It was past 9 P.M. In the middle of a dark alley just off of Tat Boon Street, which was right under the Yamanote Rail, close by to the No.4 Shinjuku Route Highway. A black limo was driving though, at a pace, not enough to call for any attention, but fast enough to get where you were going quickly. At near the end of the alley, by some cracked stairs, a small gray door was there waiting for whoever felt the need to enter. The limo stopped when it got to this door.

The driver quickly moved out of his own door, to the back of limo to open the door. 4 men stepped out of the car, all dressed in dark suits. All had combed back black hair, one with a scar on his right eye, and another walked with somewhat of a limp. What they looked like didn't really matter, as they all packed fully-loaded Walther P99, which could easly do all the talking for them. They climbed up the steps and went to the door, and one of the them knocked on it. A slit on the door opened, beedy eyes peered out.

"What's the password?"
"The Midnight Bomber Bombs At Midnight"
"You got the goods?"
"Do you want me to slap you, Kouji? Would I come here if I didn't have the fuckin' goods? Just open the goddamn door already."

The door opened, and the 4 unknown men walked inside, being greated by the mixed smell of smoke and liquor. They had just walked inside of the Sluggish Carrot, a in which the smoke covered more than just drunkards looking for an escape from from the rat race of live. It was somewhat dimmly lit, people drinking smoking, some passed out in their own filth, others just sleeping off the booze. As the uknown men walked to the though the bar to get to another room, a man bumped into one of them from behind,

"Hey, watch where the hell you're going!" the man screamed as he turned around, and punched the man square in his face, knocking him over, and kicking him while he was down, until another intervened.

"Cut that shit out, Hibiki! We got things to do!"

Spitting on the man on the floor before he leaving, "Hibiki" stormed off in a huff with his cohorts.
=======================

Inside another room of the bar, as the Unknown Men walked inside, was another dimly lit room. Another man was waiting for them, shorter than they were in statue, sitting on a chair, his legs crossed, smoking a cigar, and his fingers intertwined.

"Did he make the payment?"
"Yeah, we got it boss, but he tried to dupe us, not all the money in here is legit!"
"Oh, that's too bad...I'm afraid the merchencide he's paying for is about to become...damaged goods."

The "Merchendice" in question was a young girl, about 17 in age, with long black hair, still wearing her school uniform, and black shoes with red ribbons on them as she'd been in their presense for about a week and a half. Keeping her from escaping, were tight ropes pulled over her arms and legs and a few strips of duct tape kept her from protesting anything verbally. The ropes cut deeply into her skin, and chafed and burned, from her attempts at freedom. Her face was weak from tears

"But if that happens, he's gonna stop paying."
"There's always other chicken to get eggs from" The boss spouted. "Do it, and make it quick."

One of the men walked up the girl, and looked down at her, and pulled out his loaded handgun, ready to do the deed, as the young girl's tears began to flow again, but much too scared to attempt screaming. It wasn't as if anyone (who mattered) would her hear her in the first place..

"Wait a minute" 'Hibiki' spoke. "Mind if we have a little fun with the bitch before doing away with her?
"Go ahead" The Boss said "But you'd better not make a mess"
"A'ight, come here, bitch" 'Hibiki said as he walked towards the young girl, trying to squirm away from him despite being in a corner. "We're gonna have a fun time..."

The other Unknown men just laughed, until.....

-CRASH-

"What the hell was that?"
"Someone's coming in!"

Slow footsteps were indeed heard, as someone was moving slowing into the room, unseen due to the dim light being centered in their area. Wasting no words, the Unknown mean pulled out their Walther P99s and fired into the direction of the footsteps, hoping to make quick work of the intruder. The footsteps stopped, and then started again.

"What the hell?"
"Shoot him again!"

But before anyone of them could consider firing again, a flash of pink whipped out into the light, grabbing one by his leg, quickly dragging him into the darkness. And from the unseen, cries could be heard.

"Oh My God! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!! OH MY GOD, STOP IT, STOP IT, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~!"

Everyone else in the room was soon scared shitless, and frozen in fear. Then a light flew from the darkness, and hit 'Hibiki' into his shoulder, tearing into it, completely, and he screamed an blood curling screaming, holding onto the place that was once his arm. Another light flashed from the darkness, and stopped his screaming, as it hit in square into the head, his headless and lifeless body hitting the floor.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?"
"SHOOT IT, SHOOT IT!"

The Unknowns kept firing into the darkness, as the footsteps got closer, and closer until.....

"......AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

The figure looked to be, but simply couldn't be described but anything but inhuman. The figure was tall, and lean...except it had no face. Where the eyes should be, there was only slabs of flesh, same with it's mouth and nose. What was there, were one of it's hands peering at them. As the hand had a blood red eye in the middle of it's palm, moving wildly. And in the middle of it's chest, was a gaint gaping mouth, filled the brim with sharp teeth, and a long tonuge lashing out to both sides. Inside the month was blood, bones and flesh.

Before the other Unknown could react, the unhuman figure quickly moved up to them, and dug it's hand into the chest of one, and crushing the other's skull, and they too, fell to the ground lifelessly. The boss looked on fearful of his life, already dropped his cigar, and looked up at the creature.

"STOP! DON'T KILL ME! I'LL GIVE YOU MONEY! DON'T KILL ME!"
The figure said nothing as it walked up towards him. Unlike his foolish cohorts, he sprinted for the door, as fast as his little legs would take him. He didn't get far, as the unhuman figure reached it's arm out, and managed to reach the man across the room.....Either way, the man was quickly pulled in twine, his blood spilling all over the floor. Then the unhuman figured turned on the girl, barring down upon her, and looking into her eyes, looking as her tears followed.
======================
The unhuman figure sat in the middle of the room, it's "mouth" chewing on a severed leg, black shoes with red ribbons infront of it..

The remaining twelve man-bats reorganized themselves by using their flight ability to put themselves into several different attack formations. They swoop down at the gathered riders again, each small group swooping in a different way.

CRASH!

Hiro looked up after he recovered from the hit to see one of the landings fall and seal off the top. He could feel something stirring up there much different from the bats. He also felt two more similar impulses.

"What?"

An armored figure had appeared by the stairs wielding a gun and a silver knight-like figure had appeared elsewhere. They were quite different but similar to himself. He wasn't sure what to think of it.

"Well if they're here to help..."

The bats above were splitting into formations. One group raced toward him at incredible speed as the others flew at the newcomers.

"Watch out!"

The group that dived toward Gale got an unpleasant surprose when the rider leaped straight into the air, kicking off their backs to attain extra altitude.

And when the armored form reached the apex of its jump, it did not come down.

Looking at the swarm approaching her, Motoko put away her pistol and held up her hands.

"Rider Tonfa!"

In each hand, there was a brief flash of light, and a tonfa appeared in each hand. Spinning the tonfas, Motoko got into a stance.

"Rider Tonfa...SET!" She shouted as she held them in a reversed grip, and charged into the battle with the bats.

The light shone and twisted around Shuji's body as it formed something. One the light show was over, Shuji stood encased in a dark green armor. The face was obscured by the armor, but a green light gleamed behind the face guard.

"What the...?" Shuji stared down at himself as he took stock that he was covered in armor now.

"This," Houji said, gesturing to the armor. "is the Armored Warrior System that we have been working on."

"Does it need to be so heavy?"

"You're techinically only accounting for about 80 KG of the suit."

"How much does all this armor weigh then?"

"Around 1000 KG."

"..."

"Check your right hip, there should be a lever there. Pull it and yell "Restraint off!" "

Shuji finds it and pulls it. "Restraint off!"

The thick armor shimmers and breaks into motes of light before being pulled into the wrist of Inago.

Change Locust!

"What the...?"

"Much lighter isn't it?"

"Yeah. But where did all that go?"

"Back into the henshin unit."

"Oh."

"I could tell you, but it contains to much jargon and stuff like that to be useful."

"Ah."

Shuji walked over to the window and took notice of the armor's now insectoid appearance.

"I'm... a bug?"

"A locust to be precise. Now... do you want to learn how to use it?"

"Sure."

Houji leads him off as Reika recovers and looks to the ceiling with tears brimmed in her eyes.

"Yuu... it finally works, Yuu!"

Now on the 9th floor of the construction site tower, the trio still found no sign of the man they had chased into the construction site, nor did they find any clues as to what had happened to the missing people. They were just about to give up, then a loud crash interrupted them from higher above in the tower, causing them to look up to the ceiling. Nodding to one another, they double-timed it.

"Something's definitely going down here, and i'm going to find out what/ First a guy with a bent bat comes strolling in here, now a loud crash in a construction site when there isn't any construction workers around? I small trouble." Aj said, as he continued up the stairs. Trailing behind him, Mike lifted his arms and smelled himself as he ran off.

"Sorry, that was me, Aj." he replied simply, while Aj sighed.

"That's really gross, man... Don't you know when to shower?" he asked, before shaking his head and continuing to try to run up the stairs quickly. They didn't know how many more steps they'd need to climb til they reached the top, but they wouldn't let that stop them.

"Finally!"

Mao found a small crawlspace on a little platform next to the long ladder around the 10th or 11th floor, she guessed. Popping her head out, she found the cage of girders before her; she'd have to be careful.

Thanking her athletic prowess for her sense of balance, she ran along the supports towards the main column, the sheer height giving her a run of adrenaline from the impending danger. Coming closer, she could hear sounds from the occasional small grate in the walls.

"What's going on inside!?" she wondered aloud, shining her flashlight on the column's wall as she neared it. There was a small, two-feet wide grate nearby at about waist-level; she crouched down to peer through it. She couldn't see anything, the walls were too thick.

Pulling out her knife, she spun it in her hands once, the handles spreading out like wings hence butterfly knife. Holding the "wings" as the handle, she poked around the grate's edge, and found that it wasn't secured. Probably someone got lazy and just jammed it into the depression without bolting it, she thought. Pulling it free, she set it next to her, then shimmied her way into the opening. Crawling forward the whole ten feet distance, she found another grate, but this was secured tight. She was just about to curse when she saw just below her on the inner stairs something interesting.

"Isn't that that cop lady... Motoko?" she murmured, seeing Motoko on the stairs below her. And facing off with her were monsters!

"Wow...!" Mao exclaimed in a tense breath. Bringing out her digicam, she pressed the button with silent clicks several time. Then, Motoko did something strange that almost made Mao drop her camera.

The bright flash took her by surprise, and she yelled as she winced her eyes at the light. Thankfully the manbats' screams drowned hers out...

Shaking her head, her vision came back, and she peered inside again. Now Motoko was gone, and there was someone in some form of super armor fighting the bats!

"Mo... Motoko turned into that??"

Her curiousity spiking, Mao started taking pictures again of the cop-turned-suited hero fought the manbats. Finally, Motoko killed the bats and went up the stairs, leaving Mao to stare after her in shock.

"That was awesome!" she exclaimed, stuffing her camera back into her pocket. "I knew there was something odd going on, but this... this is like out of Kamen Rider Eclipse! Are Riders real?? That suit looked pretty similar..."

Though she wanted to look around more, she realized that if there was this kind of fighting it could get dangerous. She inched backwards until she felt cool air brush her legs, and then she squeezed out of the hole and replaced the grating. Taking the precarious route along the girders, Mao had only gotten a few meters from the column when it shook violently. The shaking reverberated along the girders, throwing Mao's balance as she lost her footing. Flailing her arms, she tried desperately to catch herself. Her hand caught in a loop of power cable, and she clutched to it as her weight shifted. Thankfully the cable was secured, and she regained her balance using it.

"What... what the hell was that!? An explosion??"

Her heart pounding, Mao scurried back to the corner column, entering the crawspace and mounting the ladder again, descending quickly. She had to get out of here!

As the trio of men continued up through the construction site, they began to wonder if the man they saw ever came up this far, or was still somewhere down below. Still though, even if they didn't find him, they needed to find out what made that loud crash, and if it had any importance on the kidnapping cases. It was still too early to give up.

"Hey Aj, once we get out of here, can we go back for more pizza? I heard alot of people mention japanese pizza wasn't so good, but I didn't taste much of a difference. And since i'm still hungry, I figured we could go for more." Jake replied, while Aj shrugged. There Jake went, including the other 2 with his use of 'we'. Still, the pizza was ok, for the most bit. It wouldn't kill them to order another pie or 2.

"Jake, man, you need to learn when to focus on the mission and not on the food. Right now, an enemy could have taken advantage of your complaining and shot me or Aj. What would have done in that situation then?" Mike asked. However, Aj shook his head and continued on. Mike did indeed raise a good point, but his own words were about to come back and bite him.

"You may be right, but your complaining about Jake not paying attention could have also cost us our lives." Aj said, his eyes never leaving the line of sight ahead of him.

Spinning, Rao drove a kick and another bat into Nimbus' hand instead.

"Sorry, I don't like bonding with other men through flying chiroptera."

The bats were persistent little buggers. Even after switching off the sonic pulse emitter, they kept attacking. Bad plan. So what next? Rao continued kicking bats in the direction of Nimbus as he tried to think of a next step. "You know... "This might hurt a little."

Rao drove a stake through Nimbus' bats and his own until there were multiple wings layered upon each other, then finished it off by kicking it into Nimbus' out-stretched hand. "Bat kebab. I hope those bastards show up soon, so I can tell them I murdered their mothers, cousins and friends with complete prejudice."

"I suppose we can go scouting around in the city, but that can wait till tomorrow." A remaining bat fluttered near Rao, and was brought down by an axe kick that splattered its guts across the sensitivity switch. Unfortunately, it also activated the cage, trapping Nimbus and Rao. Twirling the tonfas, Motoko lashed out at the first bat-creature, smashing it in the side of the head and sending it spinning away. Turning around, she back-handed the second with the club, knocking it aside.

The third bat got lucky, punching Motoko back and sending her crashing into a steel beam. Not even winded, Motoko took one of the tonfas by the end and threw it, smashing the bat in the face.

"Come on, get up!" She said as the tonfa flew back into her grasp. "I'm only getting started with you!"

The three bats complied, getting up and surrounding Motoko.

Gale's one-time stepping stools flew up toward her, Shreiking and moving their claws into an attack position.

But the rider was having none of that. As the winds that suspended her whirled around, sne punched her right fist into her left hand, before spinning around and drawing it back.

"GALE PUNCH!"

A strong, straight punch in the monsters' direction sent a blast of wind, that knocked one of them all the way into the wall.

The other kept coming.

Walking on through the tower, it had been a while since they had seen anyone or anything. One level earlier, a loud sound forced Mike to shoot in it's direction, forcing a rat to run away. Both Aj and Jake looked at the man before sighing, and having him put the safety on his gun. They'd much rather NOT get hit by friendly fire.

"I think we're almost at the top of the tower now... Maybe that guy's already here... ok Mike, now you can take the safety off of the gun. Just make sure you point it away from us, and try to actually aim at the bad guy." Aj grunted, as they began to walk up to the next level... And stopped promptly, as they saw several creatures and people duking it out. their first intention was to lie low to avoid detection.

"What the hell are those things!? They look like something out of a sci-fi horror movie! And those guys... They look like superheroes... Is this some sort of movie? This all seems... Strange..." he muttered to himself in his head. A bead of sweat actually rolled down his head. If all of this was real, then what the hell was he supposed to do?

Twirling a tonfa in one hand, Motoko watched as all three monsters surrounded her from all sides. Twirling the weapon faster, she nodded to the bats. "Come on."

All three attacked at the same time. The first that reached her took a tonfa directly in between the eyes. Ducking under the claws of the second, Motoko slammed the other tonfa into the bat's gut before dropping down on one of the tonfas to raise her foot and kick the other in the chin, sending it headfirst into the ceiling.

Pushing herself onto her feet, she deactivated the tonfas and drew the White Mustang.

"Select-fire mode, Burst Automatic."

The laser sight on the weapon beginning to flicker, she pointed it at the bat in front of her. Three laser sights appeared on the bat creature's body.

"Rider Burst."

She squeezed the trigger, and a brief brrp! followed as the White Mustang fired a burst of several rounds into the creatures chest. Turning the pistol onto the other creature, she fired another burst, both creatures stumbling back injured.
