OOC: Everyone feel free to establish and introduce your character. We'll get the plot rolling later on this week, for now just sorta get into it. IC: The first part of him that touched Japan was his face. The goon behind him had decided it'd be funny to push the American as he walked down the gangplank from the ship to the shore. The result had been the man taking a dive, falling, tumbling and finally landing with forehead on the wet, slimy pavement of the scummy port. Over his head, the dull whine of a faintly flickering floodlight illuminated the night time scene. The goon laughed as his friends gathered around him and soon the five crewmen laughed in synch. Their captain came on deck, took one look, and returned to his cabin, mentally writing the accident report which stated that the American and his cargo had been lost at sea, a terrible tragedy but ce sera... The laughter began to die down as the American rose, blood freely flowing from the large abrasion on his head, a weird smile on his face. As he stood up he began to stretch and pop his body, before calmly walking up the gangplank towards the crew. There was a single moment of hesitation. Then the crew launched themselves at the man. With a few deft movements faster than their eyes could track, four of the five men lay quivering on the deck, clutching broken limbs and moaning in pain. The original goon was untouched, his fist firmly embedded in the American's face. The American stood, unfazed, eyes locked with the goon. Finally, he shook his head free of the blow, leaned in, and whispered. "You owe me now." Before he walked off the ship for the last time. A cargo container on the dock was locked, but after some quick work with a crowbar it was wrenched open and the man walked in. For a few minutes all that could be heard in the dark of the container was the sounds of scraping and shuffling around in the darkness, and then a low roar erupted before a bright beam of light projected straight out of the container. "Let's roll," Mikael said as he gunned the throttle and road his motorcycle out of the container, his large army duffel on his back, and saddlebags packed full. The Harley-Davidson Dyna, painted dark blue with black trim and silver highlights roared as it found the local roadway and drove deeper into Tokyo. |

Date Shuji, age twenty three, arose from his bed with a yawn. His small, but comfortable loft in Tokyo was a mess, food containers strewn amongst the piles of clothes. He had been busy the day before, trying to find a police precinct that was looking for new officers. After a quick stretch, he began his morning ritual, clensing himself before he was ready to really begin his day. A quick clean-up, a breakfast of reheated leftovers, and a suit later, he was ready. "Today, I get into the police training regimen." he thought, making sure the tie was properly knotted. Out the door, and into the world he goes, whistling a bit of a tune. |

The Blade that Cuts Injustice
|
"Fu, fu, fu!" laughter sounded from a myseterious voice, "We have you now, my pretty! Join us or die!" As the young woman backed up against the alley wall, a large group of wolf-like creatures emerged from the shadows, surrounding her. She knew that if she didn't do something fast, she was going to die. But what could she do? She didn't know how to fight. And even if she did, what could she do against monsters? "Never! I'll never be an agent of E.V.I.L.!" As those words shot from her mouth, she mentally cursed herself. That was sure to seal her doom. But she supposed it would be a better fate than to succumb to the things she'd seen. "Fu, fu, fu!" the voice laughed again, "Then I'm afraid we have no choice... kill her!" At the voice's command, the wolf-creatures made their move. Their objective was clear, but why couldn't they have a little fun first? They moved slowly and menacingly, snarling and growling and howling as they drew closer... closer... Fear began to grow in the woman. Had she really made the right choice? Finally, they were upon her. The rough, furry hands reached closer and closer... "My master said this..." came a new voice from above, "'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.' And I, my furry friends, am that fury." The shaggy montrosities looked up to spot a rather dashing man of avergage build standing atop the building looking down on them. The woman didn't know whether to feel relieved, embarassed, or fear for the man's life. At least he must have courage to say such things to monsters. "Fu, fu, fu! Who might you be?" asked the mysterious voice from before. Lightning crashed as the man stood tall and struck a dramatic pose. "Walking the path of justice, I am he who will stand at the top of heroism... Saikyo Yuusha!" "Fu, fu, fu! Bold words for someone who is about to die! You, get him!" Obeying its master, one of the wolf-creatures scaled the building and leapt at the man identified as 'Saikyo Yuusha.' As lightning crashed, the man's leg collided with the monster's face sending it tumbling off the building and into the alley. "Fu, fu, fu! You are strong, but let's see your kung fu defeat all of them!" "Then you leave me no choice... henshin!" |

Mechanical Bird of Kira Yamato

It was a sunny day on the beach. There were a number of people on the sand, playing, with a good number out in the water, swimming. It was about noon when he arrived, with a big orange raft tied to his waist. But then... *** "Are you telling me the truth?" "Yessir, I swam here from the mainland." Sighing, the police officer held his head before leaning forward again. "You do know what this means, don't you?" "What, sir?" "We'll have to deport you." "But the ship I was on was attacked by terrorists a good distance away from the shore! I had something REALLY important to do, so I ended up swimming the rest of the distance. And here, this is my passport. There's my visa." "Hmm... We'll have to look up on this... Sighing, the young Chinese man lightly banged his head on the table. [A few hours later...] "Ugh... FINALLY." Walking out of the building in casual clothing, he sighed before looking up at the sky. Would saving the world really have to involve issues like THAT all the time? Sighing again, he picked up his bags and began seeking a hotel or some other place he could stay at... In the big city Tokyo. |

Acrid smoke, bitterly pungent, drifted across the barren wasteland. The smoke danced across the landscape drifting over the prone, and beaten bodies of numerous armour clad soldiers, some with their limbs, and/or heads ripped off. A figure clad in green armour stood in the rough center of the strewn bodies. The figure had one arm wrapped around the arm of a soldier, and was casually beating the man with a tightly clenched fist. Each hit resulted in a thunderous impact, that boomed across the barren landscape. The soldier staggered under each blow but the figure didn't let him fall over, and semed to be enjoying himself. One of the fallen soldiers struggled to his feet and picked up a weapon. Painfully, and step by step he snuck up on the armour clad figure and raised his weapon strike. With inhuman speed the figure moved aside and swung the soldier's companion around and in front of the strike. The soldier recoiled in horror as he watched his friend cough up some blood and die with a gasp. The figure released the body and let it fall to the ground. "Such nonsense," he intoned, advancing on the last soldier. "Brother! You're death won't have been in vain!" The soldier declared as he prepared himself. "Bastard...I'll kill you now and bring peace back to my people's lives!" The figure looked at the soldier and laughed derisively, before charging forward, faster than the soldier could react, and planted his fist inside the mn's chest cavity. "Manners," he said in a cold voice, as the landscape, bodies and green armoured man faded away... Ryuji Nakajima's eyes snapped open. Shaking his head he sat up in his bed, and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. "That dream again, huh?" he said quietly to himself, as he got up and dressed in a pair of loose slacks and a t-shirt. As he left his room, cluttered with textbooks, and clothes strewn about the floor and everywhere else, Ryuji felt a sort of pang in his heart. "Darn it," he muttered quietly, as he walked back to his neatly organized desk and retrieved the softly glowing, diamond shaped green amulet. Rubbing his finger over the Mantis that was embosed onthe surface lightly, Ryuji found himself wondering yet again just what this damn thing was. "Ryuji! breakfast!" his mother's voice rang out. Snapping out of his thoughts, Ryuji put the amulet on, pulling chain that was attached to it over his neck. Making sure to hide the thing underneath his shirt, the young man opened the door and went to eat. |

There was a rhythmic bumping as Li Ranfan danced among the target dummies she had jury-rigged, two wooden pieces shaped like kukri grasped in her hands. It was a kata she had designed herself, set up to test her agility and striking force. Every one of the dummies was suspended on a rope, and her goal was to complete her kata without being hit by the dummies, as well as making each one swing a certain distance. This was partly because she wanted to test her abilities, and partly because it helped her concentrate on studying for physics. As each dummy swung upwards due to the applied force of the blow, she calculated the work done, the energy of the system, the shift of kinetic energy to potential gravitational energy, and attempted to calculate the velocity as they arced back down. This routine sounded simple in practice, but she had never actually managed to make it more than halfway through before being hit several times with the dummies. This time was no exception. As she pivoted on her right foot to realign herself with the dummy that she thought would already be back on its way towards her, she was pelted from the left, and then slammed into the one swinging down from behind. She let out a small yelp, barely managing to strike the two encroaching on her from the other directions away. She escaped from the swinging maze, and collapsed, grumbling. On the other end of the training hall that belonged to the family was a TV, that was blaring some cheesy theme as some guy transformed into a suit of armor that fought evil. Ranfan had never really acquainted herself with the show, other than knowing the name Masked Rider. It was a hit with her friends, but she had found the show lacking in terms of real experience with transformations. Still, she supposed, if she ever needed to watch something, it could provide some level of entertainment. She slowly crawled over to the TV, not bothering to roll over so that the screen was right-side-up, and just watched. |

Lee began his trek back to his small apartment. He was out on another one of his daily runs, which he did out of bad habit more than anything. He took off, weaving through the mass of people that crowded the sidewalks of Tokyo at this hour. Even with all the obstacles, he easily pushed his speed past what most people could accomplish. A red light...he thought to himself as he came to a crosswalk. Just as soon as he finished his thought, the "Walk" light lit up, "Lucky, lucky!" Lee exclaimed, dashing fast under the sign. Just then, a black SUV ran the red light and came hurtling towards him. Without breaking a beat, Lee swiftly jumped over the vehicle, landed on the other side of the crosswalk. He didn't even bother to turn around as he continued his run. "That one could be useful..." The driver of the SUV said to the person in the passenger's seat. "We'll deal with it later, just drive." The woman replied somewhat coldly. |

Lightning struck once more as Saikyo posed and glowed. In a flash, an insect inspired armor encased his body. A few more poses and a flash of lightning later, he spoke... "Masked Rider!" The mysterious voice that was once so proud and sinister not had a hint of fear when it spoke. "All of you, attack now!" This time, all of the wolf-creatures diverted their attention toward armored man and began their approach. The woman simply stared. "I will take care of them! Run!" But she didn't. She had to see for her own eyes if this warrior was the one she'd seen in her dreams. As wolf upon wolf encountered the Masked Rider, he fought them back with expert skill and extraordinary strength. He really did seem like a hero from a legend. "What are you doing? Kill him!" The wolves quickly surrounded him and lunged forward with blinding speed. In a split second, they were upon him, but before they could strike, Saikyo's voice roared. "RIDER JUMP!" He was suddenly up in the air rising higher and higher until he could rise no more. It was time for the finishing strike. "RIDER KICK!" Saikyo's leg seemed to catch on fire as it glowed brilliantly during his descent. Lightning crashed as his foot slammed into the pile of creatures causing them to explode. The woman looked on as he posed one last time before his armor seemed to dissolve off of his body. It was him, it had to be; the one she'd seen in her dreams. As he turned to walk away, she called out to him, "W-wait!" He stopped and looked down. "Stay out of trouble... princess." "What?" Fighting E.V.I.L. for all time~! Credits roll --- Sitting in his living room, Hiro shut off his TV. He was always so critical of his performances. "I don't know about this show... I think it hits just a little too close from home." He went over to a chair in his kitchen and pulled a jacket off of it. "But I guess that's why I've got these." After putting the jacket on, he removed a pair of sunglasses from his inside pocket and donned them. "Time for Ichiro Tsurugi to go on patrol." He walked out of his door and mounted his bike. He was heading into town. |

Waiting at the corner, Shuji nervously ran his fingers through his reddish-brown hair. This was his dream, to protect and serve the good people of Tokyo from the perps that prowled the street, As he crossed the street, he fell into the lull of the crowd and the overwhelming crush of humanity. He was no one special, to anyone except his family he left behind Utashinai. Coming to Tokyo had been his way of escaping the crushing anomity associated with growing up there. He was just a young man, still a boy at heart, with a peculiar dream. He moved along, heading towards the precinct he was to apply at for training and possible employment. As he fretted over his drab grey suit for the umpteenth time, he missed the sensation of being watched. "So... this is our canidate?" "As much as I would like to say no... yes." "Scraping towards the bottom now are we?" "It's not like YOU get any say in who we recruit." "Tch, whatever. You're not even important enough to be named." "Neither are you." "I hate you." "I know." |

The motorcycle, like a great silver bird, roared along the road like the wind, intent on its target... "Or at least," its rider said, under her breath, "I wish that's how it was..." It was rush hour, and the traffic was slow... And the Pizzas strapped between the wings at the back of the bike were no doubt getting cold. "You know," she said, conversationally, "It wouldn't be bad if you could change the bike back. A vespa, it's fine to go slow, but with something like this, it feels like a crime..." I'm sorry, came the reply, softly echoing in her head. it doesn't work like that... once the host is chosen, it can't be changed... Ran Hououji sighed. It was a typical day... she almost wished another monster would appear. And above all, she hoped that she got there soon enough that the pizza wouldn't have to be free... |

The arcade was full. Nimbus was standing outside that place, waiting for his friends. “Bloody hell! Where is everyone? It’s already 1! I’ve been waiting for one BLOODY HOUR! ARGH! Where are they? Ah screw this! I’m gonna get something to drink first!” Nimbus started walking to the nearest convenience store to get some soda to drink. While he was walking, his mobile phone rang. “Yo! Sorry man, we’re gonna be really late. Something came up and we had to do stuff first.” “Could’ve told me before. I’m already at the arcade, and its already PACKED! I doubt that we’re gonna be able to play there.” “Don’t worry about it man. We’ll see you soon!” “Fine! I’ll see you guys later then.” |

Ryuhou Takami, age 22, woke up in a small apartment in a suburb of Tokyo. Another day on this planet has begun... Will it end as another day without a sign of them? I hope so. Hmm, I'm hungry. Now what to eat... Ryuhou got dressed and strapped a device to his wrist, then walked outside of his small apartment to his favorite ramen restraunt for some breakfast. He ordered some Beef Ramen and started to devour it, when his wrist device beeped. He threw some money at the stunned manager of the ramen restraunt and ran outside. "This is Ryuhou. What's going on?" "We might have found a sign... You better get over to headquarters ASAP!" Looks like they're here at last. I hope I'm ready for this... Ryuhou called a cab and rode off to headquarters... |

Glancing at his watch, Ryuji sighed. He was currently sitting on his Vespa with a bag of packages to be delivered. Unfortunately, the traffic was thick and he was moving at a crawl. "Ah well. That's life in Tokyo," he said out loud as he putted forward another half a meter. |

"Aw, come on! Can't you get through this traffic? I need to get to where I'm going in a hurry!", Ryuhou exsperated as he sat inside the back of the cab he had called, which was 30 minutes ago. They hadn't even made ANY progess at all, and the meter was running... "Better call headquarters and let them know of my situation." Ryuhou spoke into the device, " Headquarters, Ryhou here. I got caught up in the traffic. It'll be a while before I can arrive to headquarters. Please hold out for me, thanks. Ryuhou out." Ryuhou sighed. The world could be in a lot of danger and he was stuck in a cab which was going no where at all. Figures, thought Ryuhou. |

Cheerfully, taking out the Bento Box that his mother had lovingly packed for him, Ryuji decided that it was time for an early lunch break. Taking a wiff of the delicious food, Ryuji sighed happily. As he chewed on some fish, his eyes caught sight of a BEAUTIFUL, silver motorcycle, that was apparently being used as a pizza delivery vehicle. "Woah. Now that's a bike," he said. |

The application went as you might expect. The rigamarole about how it's the police's duty to make sure criminals are brought to just and such. This station, however, had to say that they never had a canidate quite so eager. "I don't think we'll ever see someone as eager for quite a while," the station chief had mused when told of the bright eyed canidate. Little did they realize that there were forces at work trying to ensure they never saw this particular canidate again, either living or the same in any way. "So.. we tail the guy, find an isolated corner, jump out and grab him?" "Yeah it's simple." "Too simple." "What, you think someone is going to swoop down and save the guy?" "No, but what if we lose him?" "It's a good thing neither of us are driving. Besides, I aced the kidnapping exam at the henchmen school?" "Really? I didn't take that, I was too busy trying to perfect being menacing." "I can see you failed." "Like you were any better? If we passed them all, we'd at least have gotten names." "Or faces." "Or something more than this dead end gig." "You said it. Look, he's coming up on an alleyway, get ready." Stopping, for whatever reason, Shuji looked around before thrusting his right arm into the air in jubilation. "Yes! I did it! I impressed them, I know I did!" Shuji shouted, whom was so engrossed in his celebration he didn't notice a van pull up behind him.... ...nor the door... ....and certainly not the two henchmen who jumped out and promptly drug him without resistence into the van, which promptly sped off. |

Where there is darkness, there will be light. Where there is injustice, there will be justice.. Where there is justice, there will be me. Eyes closed, Rao lay atop of a thatched roof, drifting off to his own warm fuzzy dreams. It was peaceful in Tokyo, especially the mountain regions. It was also a superficial well being. Drug lords, loan sharks, rapists, murderers, shoplifters; you name it, Tokyo has it. There were any number of crime dens he could just waltz into and trash, but that did not solve his problems. He needed to take them out by the batch, not one by one. It only made the job harder when they started using less conspicuous places as hideouts. And the damn police was useless at catching them anyway. Lifting a leg, he brushed straw off his black jeans, then proceeded to do the same for the purple shirt he donned for today. A same shirt with the same colors and wing patterns on the back three sizes smaller had been given to him for his birthday present any years ago. It had been his treasured shirt for days, until it was soaked with blood. His parents' blood. And then it had been soaked with the blood of sinners. The mixture had been nauseating, causing him to retch and rip the shirt apart. Nevertheless, he sewed it back together, and it ever since had been a piece of hung art on his bedroom wall, amongst the countless pieces of believed-lost art he 'retrieved'. Each night, he would venture out into the streets of Tokyo, and tune in to the police radio. Even absolutely incompetent idiots had their uses, and the police was good for information, if nothing else. Hunting down crime organizations was his shtick. Why they couldn't understand that was beyond him. And tonight... tonight's air stirred. It was uncomfortable even in the setting sun. Something was going to happen. He could feel it in his blood. And his blood boiled. Grabbing a silver-and-black belt from his pile of clothes, he strapped it on quickly, and grabbed his usual white wind jacket. He didn't need it, but the belt needed to be hidden. Thumbing his right hand, Rao made sure he could feel the unusual bumps on the back. That was a tool of his. A tool for fighting injustice. A tool to cleanse the world. Climbing onto his bike, a slightly modified Ducati with a few "special properties", he revved it and sped down into the streets of Tokyo, helmetless. The wind roughed up his hair, but that didn't matter. Where I am... there is judgment. |

It’s been a month eh? Since that incident in Mt Fuji. Heh, our plan to camp there and watch the sunrise was crushed because of them… They took everyone to their base, and ‘modified’ us. It’s like we’re some kind of materials or something. Bloody people! I wonder if these people who called me are really my ‘friends’ not some kind of kaijin or something. Nimbus thought as he was walking to the parking lot where he parked his motorcycle. “Oh well, whatever. If they’re not my real friends, I just have to beat them. Shouldn’t be too hard.” He turned on his MP3 player and put on his favourite song: Break Out! “Minagiru Passion. Honoo no Showtime. Original Soldier…” Goes the song. As Nimbus was about to ride his motorcycle, he realised something. “Yo dude! Change of plans. Meet us at the ramen place under Shinjuku bridge. We’ll see ya in 30 minutes or so.” Nimbus starts his motorcycle. That motorcycle is a special one. He found it when he escaped from that base. It was just in some garage. Nimbus thought that it would be better to use it rather than just leaving it there. Since then on, he always rides that bike wherever he goes. He calls it the ‘Victory Tornado’ He rode his motorcycle to the ramen place where his friends told him to go. Is the food good there? It better be, else, they’re gonna PAY for it! Cause I’m REALLY starving right now! |
