Well, since we've had a staggering amount of support for this idea, I've decided to go ahead and create a sign-up topic for everyone who would like to be part of the upcoming Kamen Rider RP. If you're interested, simply fill out the following form with the pertinant data. Now, I know that some of you might be a bit wary of this because you don't know much about the source material. Well trust me when I say that that doesn't have to stop you. Even though Thrawn and I fully intend for this RP to be just as true to the Kamen Rider spirit as we can make it, we are also trying to make the RP as accessible as possible to anyone who wishes to be a part of it. You don't have to have seen any previous Kamen Rider shows in order to get the overall gist of what we're doing, and in some cases being a total newb might make designing your own character a touch easier, since you won't feel the pressure to simply copy the Riders of a pre-existing show. Thrawn and I will add more information to this and other topics as time goes on, so be sure to check back regularly for updates, and to meet your fellow Riders!! Now, to the nitty-gritty.... Name: Your character's name. Simple enough...unless you're like me. XD Rider Name: Your characters alter-ego when henshined, aka his superhero name. Examples are Kamen Rider Hopper 1 (and 2), Kamen Rider Agito, Kamen Rider Blade, Kamen Rider Kabuto, Kamen Rider Ryuki, etc. Age: Self-explanitory. Most Riders are at least college-age, though you're welcome to be the exception...just make sure you've got a good excuse. You wanna be 12 years old, fine: but you'd better have one HELL of a backstory. Origin: This is one of the most important aspects of your character, since in many ways it'll determine both the nature of your specific powers AND the disadvantages that you in particular will have to cope with. Traditionally, you can group the many and varied Riders into 4 basic categories: Tech Riders, Bio Riders, Mystic Riders, and Kaizou-Ningen. An explanation of the different origins follows below. Concept: A short statement that lets everyone know what your deal is: ie "wandering vagabond following his own path", "elite soldier who never questions an order", or "He who walks the Path of Heaven and will one day rule over all". Personality: A brief peek into the mind of your character and what makes him or her tick. Schtick: This is almost as important a decision as your origin, since it will similarly help determine the exact nature and feel of your powers. Schticks can be anything from a common theme that pervades your powers, to the type of combat you use, to the styling of your henshined form. As an example, the Oni Riders of Kamen Rider Hibiki each used a musical instrument as a weapon, and their attacks were based around a chosen element. The Riders in Kamen Rider Blade each specialized in a particular style of combat, as well as had costumes that not only invoked the usual insect motif, but also was based around the four suites of playing cards. And the Kabuto Riders had armor that gave them super-strength and durability, but could be purged to allow them to access a hyperspeed form that enabled them to keep up with their superfast opponents. Some examples of possible schticks include: Zodiac signs, elements, insects, mystical creatures, combat styles, the Four Gods of Legend (Seiryu, Suzaku, Byakko, and Genbu), etc. Attacks: Here's where you detail those supercool attacks that you get scream out whe it's time to finish off your enemy, a la Saint Seiya or Samurai Troopers (aka Ronin Warriors). Most Riders possess two or three unique attacks, and in many cases a weapon of some sort (though the classic Riders generally preferred their own fists and feet XD). Your attacks should strive to reflect the chosen schticks of your character, and should generally involve SOME sort of posing and so forth. One final note: while elemental blasts and supercharged gunshots are fine, Hadoken and Getter Beam-type attacks really aren't in the vein of Kamen Rider and should be avoided except in the case of an uber-mega final hissatsu...which none of you will be powerful enough to do for quite a while. What follows is a more indepth description of the four Origins available to your character. While it's perfectly acceptable to add shades of one origin to another to give you some color (BLACK and Ryuki are obviously Mystics, but with a technological slant, while Amazon was a Bio Rider who got his powers from an ancient gemstone a la Mystic), please keep things largely in one overall style. If you absolutely HAVE to play a hybrid origin...well, that's what kaizou-ningen is there for. Tech Rider: Your Rider powers come from an assortment of highly-advanced technical devices, including but not limited to a badass suit of armor that ramps up your physical capabilities. You are almost certainly part of a larger organization that both guides and supports you, as well as gives you access to new and better equipment as you need (and earn) it. Plus, since your powers are all based entirely around the tools you wear, you are perfectly capable of interacting with society as a whole, and are most likely to be able to enjoy the simpler pleasures of life as a result. The major downside to this origin is your complete and total dependence on your equipment in a fight. Should you ever lose access to it - either by having it stolen, damaged, or repossesed by your employer - you will be essentially helpless. Plus, if you are part of a larger organization, you'll be expected to follow their orders and agendas to the letter...which can be a problem if they start asking you to do things that you find morally reprehensible. Examples of Tech Riders are Riderman, Kamen Rider G3, and the various Riders from Kamen Rider 555 and Kamen Rider Kabuto. Bio Rider: Rather than gaining access to some kind of device or something that allows you to assume your henshined state, you actually MUTATE into a fearsome creature with tremendous physical power. In Rider form you are fantastically strong and tough, and you have access to weaponry that is an outgrowth of your physical form: ie claws, fangs, pincers, spines, etc. You also probably have enhanced senses and a fast rate of healing, depending on what your Rider form is based upon. But best of all, YOU can never be caught without your powers. No matter what happens, you can always assume henshined state as long as your are conscious, making you a near-constant threat to your enemies that must not be underestimated. On the negative side, there is no way around the fact that you are NOT human any longer...if indeed you ever WERE human. Being a Kamen Rider means that you are always a step apart from the rest of the world anyway, but you are a good two or three steps beyond that. You are never comfortable around other people, either because you don't understand them, or because you fear what they might do to you if they knew what you really were...or what you might do to them. Examples of Bio Riders are Kamen Rider Amazon, Kamen Rider Gills, and Shin Kamen Rider. Mystic Rider: At some point you found or were given an artifact of some sort that transformed you into a Rider and granted you fantastic powers. Whether as a result of magic, psychic power, or a pact with some ancient creature of legend, you possess many wonderous new abilities, some of which may not even be limited by your henshined state. You possess tremendous versatility, and you almost ALWAYS have a trick or two you can pull on unsuspecting attackers. The key note to be made about this origin is the mysterious nature of your powers. Simply put, most of the time you don't know any more about them than your enemies do (or worse yet, you know LESS about them than your enemies), and that means that often you won't know you can do something until it's almost too late. On top of that, you are dependent on a mystic item in order to access your powers, and while it might be easier to conceal than a Tech Rider's suit of armor, if you lose it you are in for a WORLD of trouble...especially since YOUR item is guaranteed to be much harder to replace. Examples of Mystic Riders are Kamen Rider BLACK/RX, Kamen Rider Kuuga, Kamen Rider Agito, and the various Oni Riders from Kamen Rider Hibiki. Kaizou-Ningen: Translated as "altered" or "remodled human", you are a product of science gone wrong. Someone or something decided to use you as an experiment to create a powerful warrior, and as a result your body was tampered with in more ways than one. In many ways you possess the advantages of all three previous origins: you still look human on the surface, but you always have great strength, even when not henshined. You also have access to numerous useful tools and abilities in your henshined form, and the scope of your powers is really only limited by the imaginations and abilities of whoever did this to you. Sadly, just as they possess the advantages of all three Rider types, kaizou-ningen also possess all of their weaknesses. Suddenly being able to punch a moving semi is all well and good, but what happens when you try to push some little girl out of the way of that same semi? Your body is unnatural now, and you will experience the same disconnection with your fellow man as a result. Furthermore, the experiments done to you have left their own unique mark on your body as well: ranging anywhere from mental instability, to physical rejection of your new implants, to much worse. And let's not forget that whomever it was that made you is still out there, and they probably aren't too happy with the fact that you aren't under their control anymore. Most all of the classic Riders from Hopper 1 to ZX embody the concept of a kaizou-ningen. |

Name: Mikael Rider Name: Kamen Rider Krieger Age: 26 Origin: An American biker who, after getting into a bar fight found himself confronted with an inhuman monster. Mikael was defeated, and slipped into unconsciousness to find himself on the operating table in a strange laboratory. He came to discover that he was at the mercy of a mysterious organization, and that they were "repairing" his broken body... and "upgrading" it as well. The reason for this was that he was to become a Masked Rider, a warrior of vengeance. Mikael agreed to this, the alternative was death or being crippled, and even becoming a weapon was fine if he could feel the wind on his face again from the back of a motorcycle. His physical strength, speed, reflexes, and senses were all enhanced to beyond that of a normal man's, and he was given a special device which allowed him to transform into a strange "masked rider" form. This armored form increased his physical powers, and offered greater offensive capacities with weapons and special attacks. Armed with these powers, Mikael was released back into the world, along with his motorcycle which had been given several upgrades in performance, and he was told simply to seek out evil where it exists and eliminate it. To that end, he has now come to Japan. Concept: "I was a scholar once. Then little more than a vagabond. Now I'm not sure what I am, but who I am is becoming clearer." Personality: A man wise beyond his years, Mikael has a natural love of combat spirit blended with a natural philosophical slant and serene state of mind. As a result of his modification, though, his personality has slanted from being merely quirky to being downright WEIRD at times. Schtick: Beating the enemy with quick, vicious, decisive blows. Attacks: -One. Two. Three. Rider Impact: By touching panels on the shoulders, elbow, and forearms, Krieger can begin activation of his finishing blow, the Rider Impact, a powerful attack which sends a charge of energy down to his fists where it is then explosively transmitted into his foe. The only way to activate the attack, though is by touching both knuckles together, and power can only be transmitted via the hand, not out through the entire arm. -Ridergun: A gun reminiscent of a pump-action shotgun with a paddle handle and shortened barrel. -Riderblade: A pair of knives stored in sheathes on Krieger's hips. -Ridergun2: A semi-automatic handgun. |

The Blade that Cuts Injustice
|
Name: Hiro Kageyama / "Ichiro Tsurugi" Age: 21 Rider Name: Kamen Rider ECLIPSE Origin: Born under a solar eclipse, Hiro had always felt different from others as he grew up. He felt a certain spiritual connection to the earth, moon, and sun which manifested itself artistically. In school, he kept fairly to himself and was involved in music, theater, and art. After graduation, he worked on theater in the community before being spotted by an ambitious director and signed up for a yet to be determined television series. During the shooting period of the pilot episode, which was going nowhere, Hiro ventured into the forest for a solitary walk when the moon began to block the sun. The last thing he remembered was a red shimmer in the sky before falling unconscious. He emerged a day later without a memory or what had occured. One thing was certain, his body felt great, perhaps a bit too great, and he now fashioned a peculiar belt. When he got back, there were many inquiries, but Hiro simply said he had gotten lost. The cameras started rolling and Hiro was owning the camera like a- when suddenly a very unnatural creature emerged from the forest. The crew fled in fear, leaving their equipment, but Hiro stayed. Something inside him told him to fight, that this creature was a threat to all things under the sun and moon. He confronted the powerful monster and was able to fight it back for a limited time despite his only fighting experience being stage combat. His assault didn't last long however, as the monster quickly turned the battle around and overwhelmed the would-be hero. Beaten and struggling to stand, Hiro felt an impulse jolt throughout his body. As if from heaven, a beam of light shone down on his body and filled him with power, he rose to his feet and allowed the impulse to guide his body through various poses until it compelled him to speak the word that would change his life forever; "Henshin!" Within seconds, Hiro found himself undergoing a brilliant transformation. He was now encased in insectoid armor and great power flowed through his veins. The fight had truly begun. "RIDER PUNCH! RIDER KICK!" The powerful blows collided with the creature. For a moment, there was silence, stillness... EXPLODE! When the explosion cleared, the monster was gone and Hiro felt at peace but knew that his job was not done. He could feel similar evil across Japan. Running off in search of his fellow cast and crew, the armor halted him before disappearing from his body. When they all met up, they returned to the site to collect their equipment. Deciding to call it a day, they all returned to the studio to review what footage they'd shot that day. They were surprised (all but Hiro pleasantly) to find that their cameras had recorded the battle between the monster and some strange armored man. "Kamen Rider ECLIPSE!" They had found their show. Against Hiro's protests, the group got to work setting up the story about a masked hero fighting the monsters of a mad scientist with Hiro playing the lead. In the end, there was something missing; something to set it apart from other super hero stories. "Well, Hiro rides a motorcycle, so let's have our hero do that!" And thus, the "Masked Rider" television series had begun. At first Hiro was worried that it would expose him, until he figured it would be the ultimate cover. Who would suspect a television superhero actor to be the real thing? But just in case, he brought a new charcter to life. As Ichiro Tsurugi, a proud, arrogant, yet righteous man of justice wrapped in a slick suit and sunglasses, he would become Kamen Rider ECLIPSE and defeat the evil roaming free under the light of the sun. Concept: "If you don't fear the shine of the sun, then bring it on!" / "On the stage of life, there is only one lead. When the curtain falls, I will be the one to take a bow." Personality: As himself, Hiro is a fairly quiet, intellectual, and artistic man. He is very kind and honest and connected to the Earth. However, he is very skilled at a great many things and while Hiro may not show it, his pride in his skill shines through big and bold as Ichiro Tsurugi. Schtick: (Mystic with slight Kaizou-Ningen) "Martial arts" and "Swordsmanship" Attacks/Powers: "Sol Stone": The source of Hiro's power. He himself knows very little about it or its origin other than that it's there and that it got there during his first day of shooting. It resides within his body, mind, and soul and seems to resonate with his will. The hidden power carried within has only begun to emerge as Hiro battles evil. "Sense": Hiro is able to detect strange, out of the ordinary things that have been touched by the light of the sun (directly or indirectly). His ability to detect such things is dependent on how often he has come across it. "Solar Flare": (First Shouted Appearance: Episode 4) ECLIPSE concentrates his energy into his Rider Belt and releases it as a brilliant flash of light to blind enemies. "Rider Punch": ECLIPSE's arms glow with the light of the sun, allowing him to perform various punches assisted by its power. Moderate damage. "Rider Kick": ECLIPSE's legs glow with the light of the sun, allowing him to perform various kicks assisted by its power. Great damage. "Sol Blade": A powerful longsword created by a beam of light from Hiro's hand. Its edges are sharper than the greatest man-made blade and may or may not even be metal. Can be used de-henshinned, but only ECLIPSE can perform Rider Slash. "Rider Slash": Hiro's ultimate technique. The Sol Blade is charged with energy and unleashed upon the enemy for massive damage. |

Name: Sanshiro Tsubaki Rider Name: Kamen Rider Zerstörer Age: 26 Type: Kaizou-Ningen Origin: Sanshiro had two great loves as a child: baseball and big, loud engines. The son of a talented motorcycle mechanic and college ball player, he'd grown up around plenty of both, and was in ball teams from the time he was old enough to join the local little-leaguers. As he grew older, it turned out he'd inherited his father's talent for the game, and was looking to become one of Japan's rising stars as he entered high school. Unfortunately, not only was Sanshiro good, but he knew it, too. His ego grew along with his skill, and by the time he'd made it into the pros, he had already become infamous as an arrogant, hot-tempered loudmouth, who turned to illegal bike races to get his fix of adrenaline off the diamond. After a heated argument with an umpire turned nastily violent, he was thrown out of baseball entirely, and only avoided jail time by going underground, becoming not much more than a roaming thug, riding around with biker gangs and living on the edge. Even then, his luck ran out, as one joyride turned wipeout nearly ended his life. He didn't come to for a long time... and almost wish he hadn't, for he was in a strange lab when he awoke, his body already being transformed into something not quite human. It was excruciating, and when 'they' tried to work on his mind, it nearly snapped on him. In a fit of superhuman rage, he broke free of his mysterious captors and fled into the night. Now, with his mind in more or less working order, he wanders Japan, looking for signs of his assailants. Assumed dead by the world that knew him, he keeps up the appearance of a biker thug, waiting for a chance to show those who would make monsters out of men just how good a job they can do... terminally. And hey, he'll never be bored at this rate. Concept: Free-roaming destroyer, out for vengeance and monster-smashing. Personality: A bit deranged, thanks to the experiments that made him what he is. Likes to smash things. Still has a healthy dose of the arrogance that got him kicked out of pro ball. Always on the lookout for the bastards that Kaizou'd him... even if can't quite remember who they are. Schtick: Baseball, Biker-punk thrashing Attacks: Rider Bat: Pulled out from either arm. (Thanks, Gunbuster.) It's... a bat. Rider-reinforced and spiffy-looking, but still a bat. Used primarily for smashing things, often on bike-mounted drive-bys. Bats can be pulled out of both arms, but Sanshiro only dual-wields when he's really annoyed. Shock Sphere: A purply-black ball of energy, roughly baseball-sized, fired out of the suit's palms. They go boom when they hit things. Not horribly damaging, but has a good amount of force behind it. Rider Chain: A chain that's normally wrapped around Zerstörer's torso when not in use. Useful for all the stuff a normal chain would be good for, i.e. tangling, thwacking, drive-by lashings. Has a weight on the end which can hook to the bat generators, which can allow it to form an anchor/claw thing, for grappling and climbing things. Fun at parties. |

Name: Ryuhou Takami Age: 22 Rider Name: Kamen Rider Taigron Origin: Tech. Concept: "A Survivor who's aiming for the stars to save his people's future" Personality: Serious, but can be light hearted and hotblooded at times. Backstory: Kamen Rider Taigron is an parallel universe version of Metal Hero Taigron. The Story is basically the same. The planet of Taigronia got invaded, so before being captured by the Interstellar Empire, they sent a boy to earth in hopes of finding help to repel the invasion. The differences end there. Instead of having data on how to become Metal Hero Taigron, the data shows how to become KAMEN RIDER TAIGRON. The story changes from there as well. Taigron lands near Okinawa and is saved by a Fisherman and adopted. There, he gains his new name, Ryuhou Takami and is raised by the Fisherman and his wife for about 3 years until he became 18 years old. Then he set off to Tokyo to find a corporation called Verineer Technologies to help use the data on Kamen Rider Taigron. He spends 2 years in Tokyo helping Verineer Technologies build the equipment and henshin unit , also training intensitively in preparation for the present day when the Interstellar Empire arrives. Schtick: Sword and Double Gun Fighting. Also uses dimension technology. Attacks: "Dimension Gate, Access! Positrion Flux Rifle, FIRE!" Taigron docks his guns together, then a rifle module is pulled out of a special customized dimension and combines with said combined guns for KR Taigron to access and fire a powerful blast. "Dimension Gate, Access! Axiom Breaker Blade, Activate! 1, 2, 3, GO!" A sword is pulled of the same customized dimension then Taigron opens a portal and runs through it. The result makes it look like Taigron is running at high speed and making many slashes then finished with a charged final Slash. Has an effective range of up to 50 yards. The longer the distance, the less portals that can be opened. 50 yards=1 portal, 25 yards=2 portals, so on. "Supernova RIDER KICK!" Taigron rides his bike at high speed, charging up energy then jumps off the bike then dives at a high speed, causing a huge explosion at impact. Then Taigron jumps off and poses dramatically as the explosion rages in the background. |

Name: Li Ranfan Rider Name: Kamen Rider Kizuki Age: 19 Origin: Mystic Rider The Li family has served as a spiritual pillar in Japan for as long as the family has lived there, bearing prodigy who would go on to become priests, clerics, and even a few bishops and cardinals, though the Christian bent in the family is limited to a few of the more rebellious children. In keeping with this tradition, Li Xing was tasked with providing the family with new additions to their extensive shrine services. Li Ranfan and Li Maocai were her twin daughters. Almost immediately, Ranfan understood her calling in life and accepted it. Amidst studies for school, she also studied the practices of Shintoism and studied the role and path of the shrine maiden. Her parents originally expressed some grief that she would content herself with such a lowly position in the clergy, until at long last they simply gave up trying to change their daughter. She devoted a great deal of time to studying the gods of Japan, and by and large her favorite was Amaterasu, the sun goddess. Most of her high school works centered around the mythology of Amaterasu when it applied. With such a focus on one god, it was shocking (pun intended) to her when the demon-god Raijin appeared before her with a mighty peal of thunder from his drums. She almost fell to the floor in reverence before the aspect of a true god. Raijin did not communicate in words, but rather hammered his drums and thunder roared and spoke of his request for her. She was presented with a pair of kukri named Kanshou and Bakuya, and an ofuda with Raijin written in kanji on it. In her mind's eye she saw and heard the transformation. Kneeling before Raijin, she grasped the two kukris in hand and pressed the ofuda between her palms. In prayer, she whispered "Henshin". This transformed her into her battle regalia, which included a breastplate, greaves and gauntlets on top of her traditional shrine maiden outfit, as well as a visor that concealed her face. Another peal of thunder erupted from Raijin's drums, and she bowed her head in gratitude. With one last roar of thunder, Raijin disappeared. The armor disappeared, and she placed her Ofuda and twin Kukri in a chest that she hides in her closet. Ever since that event, she has taken to her combat training with wild abandon. For the first couple of days she ignored everything else, before being scolded harshly by her parents. From then on, she balanced her studies, shrine work, and combat training, often combining her studying and combat, performing kata whilst reciting various formulae. This is her day-to-day life, for now. Concept: "I strive to become a god in my own right." Personality: She tends to drive herself into her current project, whatever it is. If it is combat training, she'll lock herself into a practice room for days on end improving her abilities. If it's schoolwork, she pulls several all-nighters studying. She never does anything half-way. She takes her current role very seriously, and as a result tends to fall behind in other areas. Schtick: Shintoism, Knife-play (key to activating her abilities), elemental: lightning Attacks Raitei: Using an Ofuda, Kizuki can summon a blast of lightning. This lightning can be manipulated to be either a direct attack or to disable machinery. Rider Edge: Lightning strikes the edge of her twin kukri, which she then uses in a flurry of strikes, each blow enhanced by a burst of lightning. Rider Hail: Kizuki throws several charged throwing daggers rapidly, making them seem almost like a hailstorm. |

Name: Ryuji Nakajima Rider Name: Kamen Rider EXCESSIVE Age: 20 Origin: Mystic Rider. Ryuji is a college student, who works part time as a Corporate courier. One day he was called in to deliver a small package, about palm sized, to one of the numerous corporations in town. As he was heading there on his Vespa, Ryuji heard voices talking in his head. Ignoring them, and putting it down to lack of sleep, Ryuji went back to business, adn the voices stopped soon enough. After dropping the package off, he went to lunch As it was a slow work day, and seeing as how he passed a test the other day with flying colours, he decided to have an extra nice lunch at a Ramen Stand. When Ryuji arrived he found the same package taht he had just dropped off waiting for him ona stool. Completely baffled, Ryuji called his client and found out that he did indeed drop the package off, and that it was still whee it had been left. Satisified with that explanation, Ryuji threw teh package away and had lunch. Later as he walked back to his Vespa, Ryuji was astounded to find the same package waiting for him, yet again. As he held the box in his hand, the voices returned in full force, screaming at him to "OPEN THE BOX!" Not knowing what else to do, he complied. Inside he found a small, Green, fist-sized, diamond shaped amulet, with the image of a Golden, Praying Mantis embossed on the surface. Grasping the chain that the amulet attached to, Ryuji was assaulted by a literal flood of images that he couldn't comprehend, as the voices in his head rose to near defeaning levels. "RECEIVE OUR MIGHT! KAMEN! RIDER!" After that, the voices stopped and Ryuji blacked out. When he woke up, he was back at home on his bed, with a warm, and seemingly throbbing amulet in his hand. Not knowing what to do Ryuji dumped the amulet in his sock drawer and tried to sleep. That night he was assaulted by more images in his dreams. Every morning he woke up in a cold weat, but seemingly very well rested. The images came back every night to haunt him, and soon he began to have an idea just what the amulet was. Currently, Ryuji knows he can use his amulet to become..different. He knows that great power lies within the amulet, but he is afraid to find out the exact nature of said power. Despite his fear of the amulet, Ryuji somehow feels compelled to carry it with him, something he most certainly doesn't want to do, and wouldn't...if the amulet didn't feel as if it was a part of him now. Concept: "What happened? I'm different now...but I feel better. I want to know...but I'm scared to look." Personality: A shy, all around nice guy, who's frightened of the powers that he's inherited. Schtick: Insects (Praying Mantis), Element (Lightning Powers), Fighting Style (Spiked Chain/Meteor Hammer). Weapon: Spiked Chain. Two, one meter long lengths of chain joined together by a ring. Halfway down each length of chain, there are spikes attached to the sides of each link. Said spikes are curved and form a reverse crescent shaped blade, for lack of a better term, on each link. Additionally, each spiked link becomes progressively larger as one looks down the length of the weapon. Each length terminates in a large link, of sufficient size and weight to easily cave a man's skull in, if some force is put behind a swing. The placement of the spikes allows EXCESSIVE to grip the chain by the last link, if he has to, and not cut his hand. Attacks: Chained Kick: Ryuji leaps into the air and wraps it around his foe's neck. With a cry of "Rider Kick!" he yanks up, as he drops down, delivering a double-booted, lightning charged kick into his foe's head, and through. EXCESSIVE lands on the ground and walks away with his chain draped over his shouler. Mantis Punch: Ryuji delivers two precise, electically charged punches to his foe, targeting the joints, and follows up with a powerful blow that sends them flying away. EXCESSIVE lets is arms hang loose after the last strike. Quadruple Thunder Smasher: Ryuji grabs his foe and empties electrical power into them, hopefully stunning them. He then performs a two German suplexes, while pouring more electrical power in. Ryuji leaps into the air and brings his foe down into the ground headfirst. EXCESSIVE throws them into the air, jumps up and catchs them, before coming down again and ending in a lightning charged explosion. Ryuji then stands up, arms loose with electricty coursing up and down his body. |

Name: Li Maocao Rider Name: Kamen Rider Hydrac Age: 19 Origin: Currently normal human The Li family has served as a spiritual pillar in Japan for as long as the family has lived there, bearing prodigy who would go on to become priests, clerics, and even a few bishops and cardinals. Not like Li Maocao gives two craps about any of that. A rebellious daughter, Maocao refused to follow family tradition, citing her twin sister as sufficient reason why she wouldn't be needed for such a task. Unlike her studious sister Ranfan, Maocao only did enough in school to pass, never excell. Unless it came down to sports, she was good at those and she liked participating in them, if only because it was a great source of interaction with her friends at school. Mao has little knowledge of spiritual or divine affairs, the most she knows of them is through one of her friends' attempts to get Mao interested in Buddhism. About the only thing she found interesting was the idea that a person's source of stength and happiness came from within, and not an outside source. That fell directly in line with Mao's own view on things. She also had a very light handle on Christianity as well. Her sister's hard-working nature annoys her, and she harbors a deeply-hidden resentment against her parents for devoting more of their attention to Ran over Mao just because she went along with "tradition." Mao's hobbies include reading mystery novels, taking photographs of her friends, playing videogames, playing tennis, and shopping. Concept: "Going against the flow" Personality: Carefree and happy-go-lucky normally around friends, but at times involving her family she becomes angry and spiteful; tends to slack off and have fun instead of work hard at anything Schtick: the serpent Attacks: A butterfly knife and a blackjack, both of which she keeps in her carry bag. When she wears boots, the butterfly knife is tucked in the left one --- Mao's Girlfriend Gang The group of girls (mostly delinquent) who hang around Mao most of the time. Basically NPCs with names and some personality. Name: Saya Age: 17 Desc: Somewhat short girl with long permed brown hair with pink streaks. Wears designer clothes. Who: One of Mao's two best friends before meeting Ryuji and Ran. Tends to talk and yak before thinking. Total moron, at times. Name: Michie Age: 19 Desc: Tall girl with alabaster skin and gothic makeup. Black hair in a wavy ponytail. Wears dark clothing. Who: One of Mao's two best friends before meeting Ryuji and Ran. "Second-in-command." Certified genius IQ. Name: Kaori Age: 14 Desc: Little girl with her hair in two ponytails. Still wears schoolgirl uniform. Who: Michie's little sister, who thinks very highly of her super genius sister. Name: Risa Age: 15 Desc: Short pigtail and thick-rimmed glasses. Wears sweaters often with her uniform. Who: Emi's best friend. Rather studious. Name: Emi Age: 15 Desc: Long hair dyed in red and yellow. Wears rebellious clothes. Who: Risa's best friend and a typical rebellious teen. Death: Killed by Alpha in Episode 1. Name: Ayaka Age: 17 Desc: Atheletic build and ponytailed black hair. Wears jeans often. Who: Tennis aficinado. Something of a bitch. Name: Britanny Age: 18 Desc: Big-boobed girl with wavy blonde hair. Often wears halter tops. Who: Half-American girl who boards with Michie. Name: Izumi Age: 16 Desc: Thin girl with chestnut bobcut hair and granny glasses. Wears slacks often. Who: The only girl with a job besides Mao. Lives on her own and has no other major social interaction. |

A boy born as the heir into the Seikuu martial arts family, Rao had been trained in the art of bare handed fighting since he was an infant. For him, life was about defeating your enemies with courage and hotblood, and the world was about friendship and love. One evening pleasure trip changed all that for him, though. Catching the night breeze on a boat tour, Rao and his parents went on a trip to a friend's private island. However, it wasn't exactly private anymore. A group of bandits had taken up residence on the island, and wasn't very welcoming at all towards the family. Rao's father put up a brave fight, vehemently protecting his son, but it was to no avail. Bare fists were no match for guns. Blood sprayed across the boy's face, contorting the naive and ignorant nature into a venomous and spiteful mask that could not be taken off. It was then that a white light had engulfed and spoke unto him. "I will grant you the power to judge all, to pass judgment as you see fit to humanity. In return... your soul will belong to me, forever." What was left of the island is now called "Blood Daggers". The jagged peaks were stained red with the blood of sinned men, and neither weather nor erosion could remove it. Judgment had been passed. Concept: "I am Rao. I am he who walks the path of justice. I am the Hand Of God." Personality: All-out hot-blooded, but also has quiet, thinking pattern. On the outside an upstanding citizen and succesor to the martial arts family, on the inside an arrogant, shrewd and hateful monster itching to pass judgment on those he thought contained sins. It didn't matter whether the one he passed judgment on was human or not. Judgment will be passed. That is all that matters. Schtick: Transformable into three forms, holy and dark elements depending on the form. Martial arts style also changes accordingly. With the Holy element comes Seikuuryuu (聖空流), with Dark comes Meikuuryuu (冥空流). The last form is not yet available to Rao yet, as it will depend on how he turns out through his walk of life. Transforms with stone embedded in the right hand and belt on waist, needs henshin pose, has 3 states (only the first two available by default). Attacks: Rider Kick - "Do not be afraid. I will cleanse your sins... forever." Available to all forms, the Rider Kick takes on the element of the current form. The light surrounding the kick will change accordingly (black + blue, white + red, ???). The first attack of all chains. Can be used on the ground, as a jump kick or on a Rider bike. Meikuuryuu Ougi, Meikuukouenkyaku/Seikuuryuu Ougi, Seikuumetsuenkyaku 冥空流奥義・冥空光炎脚/聖空流奥義・聖空滅焔脚 - The final kick (rising flip), available to all chains, can be executed without Rider Kick. If it connects, the victim will be engulfed by a black/white flame in the shape of a phoenix, and explode. Gaou/Maou will end the explosion by pointing a finger towards the sky, proclaiming "Judgment has been passed/Sabaki ga kudasareta (裁きが下された)." ---- Did I go overboard? >_>;; |

Marik: I'd just like a little backstory, how you came to be a Rider would be nice. Exe: Same for you. Kags: Approved. Just get that personality bit taken care of. Xion: Just a little backstory, please, for both. Both profiles are otherwise fine. Ideon: Like with the other guys, just a little backstory and you'll be more than fine. I just wanna see a little bit about these guys. GZG: Backstory. And tone the dimensional powers down a wee bit. I don't want to see teleportation, please. Aku: Great, just like with the other guys I want to see a little more in-depth on your origins. Rax: Fine, just see above. Ser: We'll get back to this. XD RGG: You're fine. I see a little bit of prospect for powergaming here, but other than that it's going to be fine. Nimbus: You definitely strike me as being a Kaizo-Ningen with some extra Tech flavor. But you're otherwise fine. |

The Rolling Man

I'm still up in the air between these two. Name: Aadis Ansey (most common alias) Rider Name: Kamen Rider Vanguard Age: 27 (assumed) Origin: Bio Rider, with a Kaizou Ningen slant The being known as Aadis Ansey doesn't remember much of his past, assuming he had one. He doesn't even know if he was born human and made into something far from it or simply fashioned in that mold. But he does know that he was created for the purpose of acting as an advanced scout and spy amongst the human populace in the name of (Evil Demon Lord/Space Emperor/etc.). He was to lay the groundwork--through whatever means necessary--for the eventual invasion, at which point he would become something of a military advisor, given what his superiors would hope to be a wealth of knowledge on human behavior. To that end, Aadis was rigorously trained in everything from misdirection to surveilance to hand-to-hand combat and everything in between. From the instant he could first process a command, he was working to become the perfect agent. However, no amount of training and tutorial could prepare him for the real deal. In the beginning, he followed his orders closely like a good little worker bee, assuming the identity of British industrialist Aadis Ansey. But he came to resent his superiors, as they would be the ones reaping the benefits of his hard work. It also became clear to him that he could carve his own name out of the world if he were to play his cards right, thereby rising above his predetermined fate as a drone. With this resolve in mind, Aadis went about curbing his various projects into a more self-serving manner. As ordered, he began to consolidate power through various means, whether it was buying stocks, funding guerilla organizations, or getting buddy-buddy with key members of various governments. It was simple for him to re-organize his secret infrastructure, as he was the only being on Earth who knew of its full existence. In their complacency, his superiors believe he is still under their thumb, dutifully reporting anything of note. But the truth of the matter is far different. Every day is spent devising ways to strengthen and expand his spheres of influence, so that when his creators arrive, they will find a planet unified under their would-be mole, prepared to destroy them or die trying. As the major stock holder of a Japanese defense contracting company, Aadis is in the land of the rising sun for business as our story opens, but may find a reason to stick around once things start to heat up. Concept: "As a wise man once said, 'It is better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven.' I couldn't agree more." Personality: Aadis fancies himself a mastermind, as he has created a complex network dedicated to furthering his own cause almost single-handedly. This shows through in an incredibly arrogant attitude. However, he keeps most of his cards close to his chest, as an impeccable poker face is key to his plans of putting his superiors in their place with feigned loyalty and one day uniting the planet under his rule. As such, he appears as a calm, collected, and confident young man who only wants what is best for the world. Schtick: Insect (Stag beetle), Horns, Bio-electricity, Limited Flight, Super-Strength Attacks: Rider Punch - Calling upon his body's incredible strength, Aadis delivers a devastating (if simple) punch to the enemy's head or body. Rider Stab - A simple, straightforward lunge attack wherein Aadis attempts to impale his enemies on his massive horns (which are normally mandibles in beetles). This can be performed from the ground with a push from his powerful legs or from the air, which is essentially a dive bomb. Rider Shock - Should Aadis get a good hold on his opponent, he can pump an enemy full of bio-electricity. If the victim should somehow survive (any Rider worth his salt should), they are usually afflicted with agonizing muscle spasms afterward. Aadis can't sustain the attack for too long or do it too many times in a row, as it takes time for his body to produce the additional charge. ----------- Name: Rosa Gonzales Age: 22 Rider Name: Kamen Rider Dominion Origin: Mystic Rider As the daughter of a noted sports car driver and the brother of an infamous motorcycle stunt man, it's no wonder Rosa grew up with a love of automobiles all shapes and sizes. She, like her older brother, Rico, came to favor the motorcycle, the faster the better. She loves her curretn "baby" but is always looking to upgrade, scraping money together from wherever she can find it. Her need for speed has taken her all over the world as she has entered races, stunt exhibitions, and more. While Rosa has been reared to respect the bike, years of comfortable association with it allowed her to grow smug. While driving half-asleep through the Spanish countryside in the middle of the night, she spun out and crashed, sustaining fatal injuries. As she lay dying, a great white and a creature she couldn't quite make out appeared to her. It told her that she had a great destiny ahead of her, and its mission was to ensure her survival through any means necessary. To that end, the being (who she had taken for a guardian angel) proposed a sort of merger between the two. Rosa, fearful of dying young and perhaps a bit excited by the idea, quickly accepted. In an instant, the two were one. By the time it was all over, Rosa stood up, dusted herself and hoofed into the nearest town with a BS story about how she had miraculously come out of a horrific crash with only a gash on her cheek. Since that fateful day, Rosa has often questioned her state of mind during that night. It seems too outlandish to be real, but the scar on her cheek and the strange device on her wrist suggest otherwise. Recently, she has been struggling with an intense, almost manic urge to go to Japan, coupled with recurring dreams of the angel-entity carrying her there. When word of a high-profile race reaches her ears, she no longer has any reason to deny it. It looks like the time has finally come for Rosa to live up to her so-called destiny. Concept: "'Live fast, die young, and leave a beautiful corpse.' Sounds about right to me." Personality: Sporting an irreverent, devil-may-care attitude, Rosa seems like one of the boys, even if her figure speaks otherwise. She's all about having fun, whether that means hopping on her hog or dancing until the sun comes up. She's young and fiesty, ready to experience all the world has to offer. But don't take her for a naive little girl. She'll kick your ass six ways 'til Sunday if you get on her bad side. She's got a hair trigger. Ironically, she's a devout Catholic (or so she claims), even if she doesn't adhere to all of that religion's teachings. Schtick: Rides the angel idea to death Attacks: Rider Kick - A flying kick designed to take the baddies down without frills. She usually delivers it with a running start, but can jump from her moving bike for extra momentum and excitement. Rider Sword - Summoning a flaming sword that would make Gabriel jealous, Rosa slashes at her enemy for MASSIVE DAMAGE. Rider's Light - At her command, her suit can give off a blinding wave of white light that not only impairs someone's ability to see, but can produce discomfort, nausea, and even extreme aches and pains in someone who is not pure of heart. However, this move is usually a last resort, as it leaves Rosa exhausted. |

Name: Wang Zhongfu Rider Name(Type): Kamen Rider Taiji(Mystic) Age: 19 Origin: Living as a disciple of the few martial artists left in the world since a young age, he finished his training at a reasonable amount of skill. As he wandered through the mountains of China, Zhongfu came across a strange glowing object that seemed to constantly change in shape. When he approached it, the object assumed the form of a human, and began to attack him. Fighting for over an hour straight, in which he was fighting for his life, the fight ended with him blown back, though for some reason, the thing just bowed and assumed a sort of liquid-like form. Touching the object, he heard a voice in his head that urged him to go to Japan. Taking this as a message from the heavens, he accepted this new responsibility and obtained what was once known as the Transfiguring Heaven Arm, which he generally keeps in the appearance of bandages on his arm. Concept: "Wandering man following his heart." Personality: Is easily considered slow-witted and dumb, he works hard to make up for his simple-mindedness. He holds personal loyalties very highly. Schtick: Yin-Yang/Great Heavenly Axis Philosophy/Chinese Martial Arts Attacks: - Rider Kick: Charging at the enemy, he suddenly crouches down a short distance from the enemy and leaps at them, kicking his left foot upwards. - Rider Strike: Holding the Transfiguring Heaven Arm in front of him(stance varies with the THA's form), he draws a circle with the tip and rushes forward, stabbing twice. Backflipping upwards, he rights himself in midair and makes a downwards strike(this is general. actual movement will vary with the THA's form) |

Name: Hououji Ran Rider Name: (Kamen) Rider Gale Age: 18-19 Origin: After failing her College entrance exams (mostly for lack of trying), Ran Hououji found herself lacking direction. She took on a few part-time jobs, but didn’t have any long-term plans. Then, one day, she received a package in the mail, containing a silver device bearing the image of a Bird of Prey. Why she’d received it and what its purpose was, she had no idea… Until, a few days later, she was attacked by a monster while on a delivery run for the Pizza place she worked at. The device spoke to her, calling itself the Gale Metal, naming her the Rider of the Wind, and transforming her – and her bike. As Rider Gale, she defeated the monster… But it wasn’t to be the last. Concept: “Girl Looking for Her Own Path” Personality: Ran’s a bit of a tomboy, so she never fit in very well with most of her peers in school. She’s set apart by her physical appearance (fairly tall, with a natural blond streak in her hair), along with her slightly odd sense of humor. She also doesn’t like affectations, and tends to do what she wants to do, even if it goes against expectations. Schtick: Wind powers, and the style of a Bird of Prey. Attacks: All of her attacks draw upon the power of the Gale Metal, most requiring a standardized Somatic Component. Rider Gale Kick: A spinning kick that creates strong cutting winds. Rider Gale Fist: A powerful punch that send out a gust of wind to knock enemies away. Rider Gale Wall: Summons a barrier of wind to deflect attacks. |

Thrawn, I basically used Super-1's concept. He can just change hands whenever he needs to. And I also gave him the ability to change boots too. Does that really count as tech? I mean, I don't really need those hands, I just wanna make my rider unique. XD And if you used Lowe's definition, he also said that Kaizou Ningen can have tools too. |
