Die at the hands of EmoGoblin,* maybe? As a pure accident, of course. >_> *Complain at the nickname if you want, but I think it's apropriate, considering all Harry does is whine and complain about his father's death. Even Harry from the 1990's cartoon got over his dad's death, dammit. ------ EDIT: Damn, Tohper Grace looks almost entirely different. Honestly, they should have cast HIM as Spiderman the first time around. >_> |

Just got back from watching SM3. I have to say I found it hard getting myself hyped about this movie even though I'm a big fan. X-Men 3 left a bad taste in my mouth and i've become wary. With that in mind the film managed to exceed my expectations. Its definitely a great movie but 300 remains my favourite movie of 2007 so far. |

As long as we get something like that 'raindrops' montage that was in 2, I think i'll love this movie. |

That montage made me laugh pretty hard. It's almost scary imagining them using that song for Peter Parker and NOT being ironic. |

Nice to hear it, as these past few days my personal hype for this movie have been reaching a fever pitch. I want to ask you what you liked and disliked about it, but I'm gonna see it tomorrow night myself, so I'll save the questons for then. :P |

My spoiler-free take: Great stuff (so many awesome sequences), but a little cheesy at times. My Spoiler-filled take (apologies for incoherence): -Harry ROCKED in this movie. Loved his manipulation of Pete and MJ. His plan was wonderfully subtle, and much more enjoyable to watch play out than the blunt force "You love her, eh? I'll dangle her off a bridge" stuff Norman pulled. Just fantastic stuff. -The New Goblin/Spidey teamup blew me away, and I was very sad when Harry was killed off. Argh. -The explanation over the symbiote was really low-key (it's still an alien!), but the actual action stuff with Venom against Spidey was handled with style. Topher Grace was awesome. -I'm a bit back and forth on Sandman. He was kinda cool, but...I dunno. I'll have to watch it again to make up my mind. :P -Evil Pete was fun, and Jameson continues to rock. I was happy to see wise-crackin' Spidey more pronounced, too. END SPOILERS From feedback I'm seeing around, it looks like this is going to be a love it or hate it kinda deal. I really liked it, myself. I definitely plan to see it again soon. |

Just came back, and it was arguably my worst movie experience ever. The film itself was fine, but the little kid who was right behind me who kept talking through the entire movie. Virtually everyone in my row was annoyed (person next to me kept whispering "Someone shut that ****ing kid up"), but it DID make the movie even more hilariously cheesy than it already was at some point. For example: *light spoilers* *Goblin hits pole* Kid: *really loud, Nelson style* HA HA! or *Goblin dies* Kid: Daddy, what happened to Green Goblin? Dad: He died. Kid: Who killed him? or *Spiderman absorbs the symbiote* Kid: Daddy, Spiderman isn't Spiderman anymore now that he's black. Me: XFD etc. |

Just got back. The Nu Goblin being defeated the first time scene was, in a word, hilarious. Easily my favorite of the trilogy, but the reporters and newscaster at the end of the movie felt a bit too cheesy, but it's a super hero movie, so I can't complain. |

First time I saw it I was really hyped, I mean really excited. And I was somewhat disappointed by the ending. SPOILERS I meaning the possibility of Venom getting killed within the first fight... though no body most likely means no death. The fight scenes were my favorite though. I really enjoyed the first fight with Green Goblin and Spidey. I also liked how they made the Goblin not so armored like... is seemed a lot more free in movement then the first suit. Peter Parker turning emo... for a few seconds... man I didn't know what to think... I mean someone took the words right out of my mouth "This isn't a Spiderman Movie." Though I did laugh I was like... is this really spiderman? They over did it with the drama though. Best thing to happen to Spiderman 3? That would be Topher Grace as Eddie Brock/Venom, followed closely by Harry Osborn as Green Goblin. I mean I was puzzled by how Eric Forman was going to be Venom... (Yeah I know Topher Grace is his name... but I just think of little skinny Forman everytime I see him). Though he did an amazing job... I mean I was like WOW why couldn't he have been in the other Spidey movies? Him and the Kingpin... I mean man I really wish they would have shown some cameo appearances of the Kingpin. And Harry finally taking over his father's role as the Green Goblin, if only for awhile was still AWESOME... and yes the Spiderman and Green Goblin team up was AWESOME!!! As for the Sandman, he was good, but I mean he kinda seemed like just a second-rate villian... that is overshadowed by Venom and Green Goblin. Heh its funny that they seem to kill off Spidey's long time villains fast... oh well... it happens. It was much better the second time I watched it, I really enjoyed it. Now for Pirates 3... thats going to be good... I mean the second was kinda...alright, but this... I mean it looks like I get to see the funny badass Jack Sparrow from Pirates 1. Sorry that was offtopic... but I mean it also comes out this month!!! |

Loved this movie! Best part for me (spoilers) was the escalation/resolution of the conflict with Peter, MJ and Harry. I must reiterate that the Spidey/Goblin teamup was FREAKIN' AWESOME. Venom and the Sandman were awesome. Everything was awesome! |

Everything but the action sucked. Minus the Bruce Campbell cameo of course. Thumbs in the middle, leaning down for needless angst and the shoehorning of Gwen Stacey into the whole thing. Shark jumping almost gets to the big screen. |

Okay, time for my two cents: - Tobey makes a MUCH better bad Peter than he does a good one. - The whole three villain thing seemed a bit much until the very end, but the pay-off made it worth it. - Eddie/Venom: FUCKING AWESOME. - Only real disappointment: the butler's comments near the end came TOTALLY outta nowhere and seemed rather dumb. It's like, why the hell didn't you say anything EARLIER, you old FART!!!! |

I thought the movie was really good. Some stuff that stood out: - Bad Peter is pretty awesome and funny at the same time. So refreshing to see Peter Parker being bad. - Topher Grace did a great job as Eddie Brock/Venom. - Thomas Haden Church did a great job as Sandman. It's great to see such a human side to a villain. - Girl who played Gwen Stacy is HOT. Way better looking than Kirsten Dunst. |

Well, here's my impressions(Obvious SPOILER WARNING): -I liked Sandman's story throughout the movie. -Juggling three villains didn't work out too well. The limited time available for the movie limits development with the extra characters to deal with. -Bad Peter was hilarious and awesome. -The Butler's "Love" comments aren't really worded too well. -The Spiderman and Green Goblin 2 tag team at the end was well done. -I don't think Harry should have died. -Overall, a good movie, but it could have been better. Now, if they make another movie, what villains would you think would be there: -Scorpion? -Venom Returns? (The explosion at the end of 3 was cool, but I don't think pumpkin bombs are strong enough to totally incinerate a body and leave no trace.) -with Carnage? (That would be freaking awesome.) -Mysterio? (A jackass with no superpowers and only smoke and mirrors. I hope he doesn't appear or appears shortly and gets his ass handed to him.) -Lizard? -Hobgoblin? (I don't know how they'd get this one going. Someone would have to break into Osborn manor, find, and successfully steal a bunch of the Green Goblin equipment.) |

My thoughts on this... -Scorpion: I almost want to see them handle Gargan like they did in the first movie game, where he's a confused victim of some supersoldier project. Dunno if having JJJ make him like in the comics would work here, as it would undermine a lot of the subtle "good guy" they've given him. -Venom/Carnage: There is NO freaking way Venom is permanently gone. That'd be like killing off Lex Luthor. He'll be back. Dunno about Carnage, tho...unless they REALLY toned him down from the comics, he'd probably raise the rating up to R. -Mysterio: Once more, I think they could use the game plot they had for Spider-Man 2, where he's out to discredit Spider-Man. -Lizard: He's been hinted at since the beginning of the series; I'm sure he'll come eventually, but honestly he lacks the intelligence to make anything but an annoyance. -Hobgoblin: In the comics, the first Hobgoblin WAS just some guy who found Norman's gear and decided to make a name for himself. Personally, I wonder if Peter only deals with thugs and bank robbers normally, with supervillains only popping up every couple of years (IE, in time for a movie). If not, then they could have some of his more minor foes, like Shocker, cameo in the movie and just say that they debuted earlier and have been annoying Peter for a few years. |

Yeah, you're right. Since Carnage is a serial killer, he'll make the movie fairly bloody unless he's been toned down. |
