Almost as good as Lowe ^_^
|
I find "This will be the end for you!" more suitable. "This will end you" sounds like a straight literal word for word translation. |

I tremble in laughter just to think of the possible translations for Masaki's Mahouken Etel Chyadai Tsubushi attack. |

Well, I've got this pre-ordered as of a few weeks ago, so here's hopin' it's... you know... good. :ph43r: I've got the SRW OG games in ROM format - but part of me doesn't wanna play them yet for obvious reasons. Also... um... are the OG Games any good? You know, actually worth playing after playing the likes of R, D and J? |

OG 1 might feel a little slower then J, but I think the stories for the both of them are better, including the gameplay (especially on OG2, since it has EX-Hard Mode, and Special Mode). |

Yes, definitely. OG is on par with D in terms of quality, OG2 above in graphics and difficulty, and J being the highest quality but being arguably the easiest. DON'T expect an easy ride through the OGs if all you've been playing were GBA SRWs. |

Random question. Is the EVA-01/EVA-02 Unison Kick from @3 able to go as high as 96,000+ damage, or can that only be achieved by hacking? |

Hot blood, counter attack (Asuka), 170 morale, close-combat bonus (leader), VS SS size can boost it up there. |

AH. Because I saw Shinji and Asuka pull it off against Keisar Ephes. Damage was 96,366 damage. |

More than enough (except for some of the more WTF missions in OG2). But if you don't have experience against skill points (do you have the PS series?), start with OG1 before tackling OG2 >_> |

Yeah, OG2 had some of the more challenging Skill Point requirements I've seen. Some challenging levels too... I remember once where you had to defend a base and keep all your units alive until the units who went on the other path split arrived to reinforce you, one by one. If you don't play the map just about perfectly, the enemies either get to the base or someone gets shot down. Did I mention that several of the units you're using were either new, unupgraded units or Geshpensts you probably haven't gotten around to upgrading yet? All this talk of OG2 makes me want to play it again. It's hard to decide which SRW I like best, and my top picks often fluctuate, but OG2 always manages to stay either #1 or #2. |

One of the more insane missions was (if you didn't pick the route to upgrade Arad) fighting against Mekibose with Arad & the Boost Hammer. Skill point was not letting Tausend Fessler getting hit, which was a reset pain, and fighting against Meki is nothing short of fucking torture, especially with unupgraded units. |

Oh, god, I remember that. Thank god Arad had so much SP, otherwise he'd have been one dead pilot many times over in my game. That big reason? I was, er, using him in the R-Blade, not the Wild Wuerger. >_> |

Next candidate up is fighting all 4 Specs with Ryuune, Gilliam, Viletta and Hiryu, all unupgraded. PAIN. PAAAAAAAAIN. 0% Hit rate by default, and 100% rate for getting hit was just not funny. |

I didn't find it TOO bad. Especially since you can always run away if you don't want all the secrets. I don't think you were forced to fight them for the skill point. When you do get down to it though... it's basically proper seishin use and making sure to abuse your ability to outfit the Hiryu Kai before the battle, followed by lots and lots of reloading. |

The skill point was killing 15 enemies before the Inspectors arrived, which was easy. The pain was surviving 1-hit kills even if you defended. And the real pain was trying to kill the Specs, which I phailed miserably on EX-Hard and had an easy job of doing on Special (for some reason). |

That stage never gave me problems for some reason. I actually had Viletta solo one of a Guests for a long while before having her retreat when I played it the first time. |

Yeah, ONE of them. It's when you take on all 4 (3) to kill them all that's a problem. |

You really can't kill them without reloading, and once you realize that, it just becomes monotonous. You group your units together, spam Seishins, store units that can't do it anymore in the ship, and make sure the Hiryu Kai is equpped right. It takes a long while, but I wouldn't say it was hard, since they'd only hit a unit once every 5 or 6 turns. |

Are we playing the same game? Tried taking them on in EX-Hard? You know, where you don't get 1 of every part? |
