Ok sorry but it was annoying seeing all the other forums in this section having some posts in them but this one completely postless so yeah Who do you think is the best Alchemist in FMA AND USE EXAMPLES? Personally I think Ed is because he is a very skilled alchemist who knows how to use Alchemy in the sense that he follows the rules and create very eleborate creations and he also can use it without needing a transmutation circle so thats a plus |

for me, the best alchemist/s was Psiren--> because she can float into the water using some playing cards. Dante --> because she created homonculi and she can able to jump on the other bodies. Ed and Izumi --> they can transmute without the help of transmutation circle. Although Izumu vomits blood. |

Alphonse Elric. Because he has to use a transmutation circle, Al's alchemy is slightly slower than Ed's, but his skill is top notch. His martial arts prowess surpasses Ed's. Because his body is made of armor ordinary attacks and even bullets are easily defelected and he never gets tired. And his creations are almost always more detailed than Eds. |

Roy Mustang. If he hadn't hesitated in their mock battle in Eastern he would have won against ed..... not to mention I'm a pyro and fire is awesome so its users have to be given credit. |

And yes, that's my favorite part too, lol. xD I believe that the Probationer from the OVA and Izumi are the best. Alhponse might be talented, but Izumi practically taught him everything. Why would Dante be the best? She got eaten by a fatty. The same fatty who grew even bigger, and Alphonse (with the help of Wrath) was able to defeat Gluttony... Izumi is the best!!! =P Didn't you see what she did to the Central headquarters building when she went to retrieve Wrath? HOLY CRAP. o_O |

Yeah sure, that's why he can't fight Sloth and can't fight in the rain... When it comes to water, Roy becomes the most useless alchemist their is. So please, make valid points if you would, and please refrain from fan-spamming how much you love Roy. xD |

In theory he could annihalate Sloth.... If he used Hydrogen instead of oxygen the resulting explosion might be powerful enough to take her out |

I agree with you on that, Sel. He shouldn't need two gloves to do the exact same thing. |

OMFG I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO SAY THIS. Three good reasons. 1. Have you seen the episode where Roy fights Edward? THAT'S WHY. 2. That's like saying, "Why have to guns, I only need one!!!" DOUBLE THE BOOM BABY. 3. HE'S THE COLONEL HE CAN DO WHATEVER THE HELL HE WANTS BIATCH!!! Had to say that last one.... |

Errrr Fayt... that isn't what we were talking about. we were talking about Mustang using hydrogen instead of Oxygen to create an explosion powerful enough to destroy Sloth. |

Oh, well that's simple. The reaction would be way to unstable and hard to control, seeing as hydrogen is more unstable than oxygen. Expecially when it comes to boom booms. |

I was thinking along the lines of O2 till he got to sloth and then the Hydrogen would condense and explode. |

um....hydrogen isn't water =.=; there is definitely hydrogen IN water, but hydrogen is definitetly not the equivalent of water. Anyways, I'm under the impression that it's only the formation of water that causes an explosive release of energy while breaking those bonds would require the input of an immense amount of energy. keep in mind that just tossing hydrogen or oxygen around doesn't get him very far. |

Water is H2O... and H is Hydrogen... is there any prob in that?? if H and O had been fused(Its not the right term i assume)... It will become H2O2... then if you removed a part of oxygen... (not the right term again) it will become H2O...*ouch chemistry sucks* |

Oh Jesus... This is exactly why I proposed to the administrators last year in adding actual laws of chemistry into Full Metal Alchemist. In order to use hydrogen in water instead of oxygen, you must chemically seperate them. The only reason Mustang can create explosions is because his circles are meant for oxygen. Circles or the most part are each designed for usually specific purposes unless it's something simple like the manipulation of matters shape. When it comes down to it, igniting both oxygen and hydrogen by seperating water molecules is nearly impossibly. A spark does not fly fast enough in order to simultaniously pull it off. Not to mention that he'd have to use two gloves for two different circles, which lessen the effect a lot more. A spark is the way at which alchemic direction for the transmutation is applied. Wet gloves won't make a spark. Not to mention even if he could, he'd have to snap both fingers at THE EXACT time. Also, why do you think hydrogen and oxygen are combined like that? They're incredibly reactive with one-another. The second they are split within the same space, they will instantaneously react with each other and create water once more. Furthermore, hydrogen, if you were smart enough to look at the periodic table of elements with color coded categories, is that hydrogen is in fact a GAS. And sure, any gas when put under pressure will turn into a liquid. Butane in lighters is a perfect example. If you have a paint-ball gun powered by CO2, and took the container off the gun early, it will disperse a VERY cold liquid which instantaneously becomes a gas when released; the only liquid that actually remains after said CO2 is released is the water which was once vapor and had condensed on the surface of here the CO2 dispersed because of the temperature. Same thing happens on the windows of your car when it's cold or raining outside. Aside from this, why're you all talking as though he'd seperate them just to ignite the hydrogen? Hydrogen and oxygen both react nastily in pure form when exposed to extreme heat. Again, not to sound like an ass, I do mean well for the productivity of the forum; this is why I wanted chemistry laws introduced and well absorbed by alchemy-using members of the forum. =[ |
