Not bad your photochop works. hhahah. Nissam March supercharger. What type is it? 0.3 to 0.5 ( im assuming is bar) should be good for the stock engine. Anything more and you might have to start looking into water injection and timing adjustment. The problem with the kancil one is the houseing is too small to house the coil behind the pulley. I might need to have one machined up for use. Still looking around 1st :) |

wah fendy you very very ambitious lar... 3 psi is only 0.2bar.. you wanna go for 0.5 bar with stock internals? even my RB running with 0.5 bar.. you'll need to reduce your engine's compression to 8.0:1 for 0.5 bar (7.25psi). |

Sorry, but may i know what's the compression ratio of the stock 120Y engine ( A12 )? I have no experience using these engines before :( Thank you |

unlike turbo, supercharger is relying on the crank pulley to generate pressure. so location of supercharger mounting is limited... turbo you can easily route the pipings to suit your setup... so putting carb after SC will be harder. even now kodiak need to use 3 bracket to extend it's reach. this setup is already at a mechanical engineering limit. for pros and cons; i've listed it before for drawthrough or blowthrough setup. |

Hi Fendy. Try going for 0.3bar 1st. Get the setup to run first to confirm everything is working well. Theres always other supporting things to settle when you do a mod like this. Then when its stable bump the boost up. I think its safe till 0.4 bar. Mine at 0.2 bar already got knocking sometimes, so tuning still needs to be done. Too high boost too early + bad set up = fireworks. So start small 1st. You can always change the pulley dimensions later to bump up or down the boost. I think anything from 0.4 to 0.5 may require retarding timing, and a diff carb and also water injection to be safe. Just do it my friend. Never know till u try. :D |

Yea its after the carb. Its a drawthrough set up. Its possible to set it up as blow through also. But you either have to box up the carb or get one uitable for boost. and you have to upgrade your fuel pump. I dont think either one of the set ups are better then the other. Just up to you and the resources available. |

Well, you can. I didnt open up the engine or do any mods to the engine at all. I did change my exhaust, but that was leaking. When running like 2 to 3 psi, everything can be left as stock, whats important is the fueling. So far I havent had any breakdowns or failures yet, and its 2 months into the build. There will be other things to mod like your throttle cable and PCV hose and small items like that. Engine wise, all stock, no problem. Yours A15 right. The A15 has like 8.9 compression ratio compared to 9.0 for the A12. |
