Seems like slight camber there. Another thing abt 2nd hand tire is u need to choose a real good one, otherwise it will wear out really fast. Seeing ur tire there, seems like the whole tire wear out 80% already, but inner part wear is abt 90%

What u can do is swap the tires left n right la, it will wear evenly.

the tyres are 100% worn off already actually...

ok my opinion here... your wheel offset is totally wrong. i think you use low offset with spacers here.. so have negative camber effects...

your mech is correct as live axle CANNOT do any alignment, not that it'll follow front.

there might be 2 cause:

1. tyre offset too low, causing negative camber which might be bearing problem.. check bearing and use higher offset tyres (15 - 20et).

2. worse case, the axle is bent. this is non repairable. my axle is suspecting to have toe-out setting by default... also cause faster wear on the inner part of tyre. but as like you said, the handling is much better. but mine is eatting 5-10% more than outside only.

guys.. thanks for the feedback n info, happy to know + learn new thing..really appreciated.. :P

yeah...in future need to pick tyre with thick tread left by previous owner... thi..he..he.. :D

err... how much bearing may cost if we wanna change it & are higher offset tyre (15 - 20et) refer to tyre width/height?

p/s - those tyre already swapped tht why shown nearly 100% worn.. thi..he..he..

bearing is cheap... but labor and works are expensive as you need to drain the axle oil (and change) and remove the whole brake assembly and shaft...

thne need to send to machine shop to pump out the bearings and pump in the new bearings...

bearing price = forgot...
pumping bearing = RM30
axle oil = RM20-30
labour = 40-50

about the same time you change your gearbox oil... do both together... i learned it the hard way... everytime i change GB oil, i'll put my axle on hold.. (wanna save money ma)

then my axle died... it's a JDM axle which in superb condition... then i think back, it was more than 2 years since i've changed my axle oil!! i've changed my GB oil 2 times, but haven't change my axle oil.

FYI 2 years, my car's mileage is about 104,000 km... which is way way overdue.

when the mech removed the axle, we found traces of metal particles in it... and the gears got rust spots... it seems that due to prolonged time, water condensation appeared in the axle, these water mix with metal causes rusts and moving gears breaks the loose particles into the axle oil. overtime the amount of particles increased and became abbrasive to the bearings in the diff.
