yea, I have a 1 piece shaft, but that too wobbles. The 2 piece shaft is supposed to wobble less, becase half is supported. But dunno la. Unless my axle n tranny not aligned liao. hahah. . Thanks for the info OCP. :) . Must think of a way to stop the vibration, gets irritating when your ass it vibrated all the time ;)

It was dreamers. I had all the couplings bearings done. I think when they put the shaft together again, the couplings are not aligned 100% well. <_<

I checked the chassis, alls ok. the problems somewhere along the drive train. Could be the engine/tranny mounting also. So many possibilities so little time. <_< . Altough i have replaced the engine and tranny mounting with new ones already  . well, maybe if im free in the weekend, ill try pulling out the drive shaft n putting back the single piece shaft for a second round of test. hmmm

that is why people never recond back the shaft... like mine last time, it was the coupling that gave way... it was stuck at the axle side.

i was given the choice of recond or buying a new made in japan shaft.

recond was much cheaper, but when i saked what they do, they said they'll need to cut the end of the shaft and weld a new coupling because my coupling at the shaft that gave way. so welding will set the shaft off balanced. and because it is a welded joint, it's not as strong as ori parts.

in the end i change a new shaft and been using it until today. been using it for almost 5 years already. the car was noticibly quiter, smoother and engine feels lighter. plus japan made is well balanced.

wa this topic sure goes very fast...

i was just absent for a few days....now in kuching, and my datto is left with a friend in melaka.

demotivation? alot of people all around me tell me its a waste of time keeping that old junk and restoring it la....sometimes i do feel that also when something goes wrong....

the thing that makes me keep my car is the excellent FC it gives, and the fact that its still a first hand car that comes with money-cant-buy nostalgic memories....other than that,if u ask me to buy a secondhand datto now, i dont think i will even bother to give it a look

true, Mine didnt involve n e cutting or welding.

The coupling has a ''+'' right in the center, and each point has a small bearing. All the bearings were replaced. All that said, maybe the shaft itself is out off shape. Ill find out tom when I pull it out. Hopefully it stops raining. damn. <_<

absorber testing at the back seat in the dark at an empty carpark memories :P

anyway, wobly shafts can damage your GB. the excessive wobbling can damages the gears and bearings.
