Is it just me or does the B310 NOT have a oil lamp?? I just realised it. hahaha. There's also a 'paddle' like lamp. whats that for? clutch? it does not work n neither does my fuel low lamp. The other items work and also does the meters. But my clock sometimes got, sometimes don have .. hehe. |

if yours have oil pressure gauge... the lamp is suppose to be there... i'll check mine later... the paddle is the clutch plate sensor, and there is the (O) is for the brake sensor... i don't know whether it works even in 1982. FYI, my friend's SEG have brake indicator sensor... if it goes less than 25%, there is a metal pin that scrape the disc causing screeching sounds. |

hahha it is not kong... they replaced with a "cheap" substitute. the sensor is located just beside the OIL filter. so normally when there is leaking there, people will change with another sensor (non serviceable)... there is 2 types of pressure sensor... 1. electronic pressure sensor (on or off)... it is more of a switch. when the pressure goes lower than certain treshold, the switch will turn ON and the dash will light up. the back of the sensor is where you plug in a normal eletric wire connector. 2. pressure sensor. this is the real original sensor that don't send out on/off signal, but pressure read out. this is what our datsun needs as we have the pressure gauge in the dashboard. (newer cars need to plug in extra meter to see this readings... datsun1:modern cars0). but the sensor is very costly. so normally people will just use the cheapest solution, which is to plug in one from other car that is super cheap... RM16 only. since it is not for out car, you got those read outs. get the original sensor... it is 3-4times bigger than the cheap sensor. it is about the size of half fist. and it costs RM64 last time i changed it. now i know when to change oil or when the oil presure not enough. |

suppose to be.. but i don't see anysensor in the gearbox... that is why i doubt it even works when it first roll out. remember, during the early 80s, the meter cluster is most probably shared with other cars. might be other cars have these features and we don't. only way to know is to ask someone that owned one first hand in the 80. |
